The food is decent but way too overpriced for what you get. It is one of the most popular Venezuelan places but I don’t understand why the high prices.

The best empanadas in town. This little place is located in a gas station. Good to start Saturday come eat a good empanadas and continue your day. Great attention by the owners

My family is Venezuelan so I needed to try this place myself. Oh my! I was in food heaven. I ordered some tequenos and a cachapa. It was absolutely delicious. I love that they sell alot of the traditional products so you can enjoy them at your house. Only problem for me is the distance. But whenever I am in the Doral area I make sure to make a stop.

Pura fama… Las arepas pequeñas y con poco relleno. Las cachapas también pequeñas y lejos de ser las mejores que me haya comido. Muy decepcionada del sitio :(

Took my wife(American) to show her the great Venezuelan taste but sadly the service was rough, few of the dishes we wanted had runout and last the food was not fresh(Arepas hard and cold). Never again, what a shame because is a landmark for us Venezuelan’s in Miami.

Highly disappointed in the food here :( Being Venezolana I was expecting a decent Arepa and that was not the case. Quick rundown: Staff looked miserable very rude/un-welcoming Cachapas were just okay didn’t have much corn flavor but the cheese made it taste good I guess. Tequenos were hard and cold Guyaba juice was warm Arepa was flat and crusty instead of round and plump. Patacon was okay but for the price the portion was very small. Place is at a gas station which is next to a convince store but don’t expect to find many Venezuelan products there. They had Polar and Arena Pan but way overpriced. In a nutshell if you want good Venezuelan food go to budare– bistro or somewhere else.

Tiene variedad pero podrían mejorar la limpieza, el olor interno y sobre todo la atencion al cliente que definitivamente no es la mejor.

so i’ve had this place bookmarked for a while & i even pass by it daily to/from work. so i finally decide to check it out… i notice that there’s a pickup option on Unilocal via Eat24… …so i go ahead and order online… …drive there… get there… «Hi i’m here to pick up my order.»…“we dont have any orders”…“I placed it online”…“we don’t do online orders”… whaaaaaat? long story short, they don’t offer the online ordering so i have NO idea where my order went(thank god i paid cash) but they were able to get my order because Eat24 had sent me an order confirmation and i just pretty much ordered there. the point was to order AHEAD of time and just pick up since I was on my lunch break but they were very cool about it, gave me my food quick… i ordered the Empanadas Operadas w/shredded beef & sweet plantains and a Tequeno of guava & cheese. the empanada was really tasty, yet REALLY greasy. the tequeno was ok but too much breading. the only reason i’ll go back is to try something else(or until i find somewhere better) and because it’s so close to my job. the grease killed it for me though :(

I am not a an of this place, first time I visited was many years ago and food was ok it has not changed much, at this time you can see the amount of extra food on the stem table do I think they may get busy for dinner. I am having empanadas de queso which are really good, service is honestly awful, the girl just threw my bags on the counter when I wanted for here, so I asked for a plate and she gave me one of those little lunchero plates…

Service can be better but the arepas are awesome and are big enough for the price. I see people complain that it’s a fast food place, well it is an arepa place which is not exactly fine dining food so what do you expect??? The reina pepiada arepa is delicious and look forward to it at least once a month.

I had a chicken arepa with some sort of cheese. It’s not a good place to order take out. The arepa was super greasy and not easy to eat. To make matters worse, I had food poisoning that night. I’m not sure if it was from this place, but it’s a fair warning. Also, if you don’t really know what an arepa is. This menu will confuse the hell out of you. I didn’t know what the cheeses were or what they tasted like since I’m not Venezuelan nor do I know much about Venezuelan food. With so many places to eat in Doral, I don’t think I’ll ever be going back.

This place was A-mazing! My Venezuelan friend took me and did all the ordering. She got us 4 different arepas. They were each incredible and filling. 1 was enough for each of us. We had an avocado/chicken salad one… so good and creamy. We also had an all cheese one, we ate this last so it was a little melt mmmh. We also had two meat and cheese ones. I wish I knew the names of them because I want to order them a million times more. The prices range from $ 2-$ 7 an arepa. The menu is in Spanish and does’t have English translation so come with a Spanish speaking friend lol Worth it! It is in a gas station so a little intimidating, but I am coming back, with or without her and just saying random things off the menu because everything was delicious.

Food and juices here are very good, and Venezuelan food has actually taken the leap across the Caribbean and installed itself in «El Arepazo». My son loves the place and will bike several miles from his granpas home to eat a Cachapa with Queso Guayanes, which is some type of corn panckake with a tender, juicy steak of cheese inside. I have have their arepas and their empanadas with meat and chiken and they are good. Ther natural juices like Parchita and Gunabana are very good. My only complaint is the price! everything is very expensive.

Went for lunch and ordered an arepa with pernil and cheese — it was so delicious! It was a good size and was very filling. I also ordered a ham and cheese cachito which was also very delicious. I think these arepas are much better than Don Pan and the variety can’t be beat. They a great selection of food at a reasonable price. Next time(which will be soon), I will be trying an empanada and an arepa filled with the Venezuelan version of «ropa vieja.» Can’t wait to return!

This is the first Venezuelan restaurant that I have ever been to. Driving up, we weren’t sure if it was a gas station or a restaurant. But once we saw all of the old guys outside playing dominos, or some Venezuelan form of it, we knew we were in the right place. The food was really good, but for $ 13, I left very hungry. I was also eager to try out my recently learned espanol. The cashier knew very quickly that I was not a native speaker(very white skin, American name, or Southern US draw-Spanish…take your pick), but all of the staff was very nice and friendly explaining what all of the different dishes were.

Finally reopened — it had burned down in May 2009 — but it was rebuilt and opened again for business last week. So far it has a lot of promise, a huge improvement from the previous one. Service is friendly and much more organized, the menu consists on Venezuelan Arepas which totally hit the spot. We will no doubt return and will update the review accordingly. Looking good so far… keep it up !!!

Wow, after burning down, and dealing with the red tape of Doral Permits they have reopened. MUCHMUCH better than before. They separated the interior and now the restaurant is just that. The selection of arepas are great, the price ranges from $ 1.75 for a simple one to around $ 6 depending on what you fill it with. They also have full lunches with rice, beef, chicken, rice, maduros, soup… well, just a whole lot of really good food. They also have tequenos, empanadas, patacones and a few other things I can’t remember. We thought we were coming for a late light lunch and would have to make dinner later. Forget it! I got the shredded chicken and my hubby the shredded beef, we shared a chicken soup. In each of the empanadas there was at least 6 oz. of protein! Plus the soup? I am stuffed! The gentleman who was taking care of us and training the cashier was incredibly friendly, helpful and just a real nice guy Great Job Arepazo! I am impressed with the improvements and am looking forward to going back since you are so close.
