Ocean East

Best, fast Chinese food in the area!!! Staff is very nice always pleasant. Eat there all the time and can’t find one bad thing to say.

I can’t believe this place is getting such a low rating. I been eating at Ocean East ever since I was a little kid. I love it. The owners are really nice and always give me extra portions and sometimes a discount on their meal. This place has the best fast Chinese food in town. Trust me, I go to college in NYC and their fast Chinese food is nothing compare to Ocean East. Every Time I go, i always order a number 15 or 16. It comes with pork fried rice, 2 beef teriyaki, 3 – 4 chicken wings, and boneless ribs. I always sub the boneless ribs for Crab Rangoon because i’m not really a fan of their boneless ribs. You could never go wrong with a number 16. I love their duck sauce too! The price here is pretty cheap too.

Not really pleased with the quality of what you get here. It is a decent place, but they lack the quality that makes us crave Chinese food — the tangy & spicy sauces, the breaded meats, the crisp vegetables, the hoardes of MSG… Ocean East just lacks it in a way I can’t really explain.
It’s tough to criticize them so harshly, because they practically have the food to your door the minute you hang up the phone. Besides being crazy quick, they’re also very nice and we’ve never had a problem with their service. It’s just that they miss that… something that makes Chinese food real Chinese food, and I don’t know how to get around that.

Just moved to the neighborhood, and since I love Chinese delivery, this place seemed close enough. First, they are INCREDIBLY polite and friendly, and FAAAAAST.
Now, the problem is their chicken dishes. Bleck. Kung Pao chicken has NO breading, it’s straight chicken, like boiled or something. Next, I tried the General Gau’s– who could mess that up right? Again, almost no breading, a very thin layer, and this like boiled chicken.
I’m going to try a couple of beef dishes before I give up altogether. I hope they are better, because I’d hate to not be able to order from the Chinese place across the street.
