Great customer service! I ask them for special orders and they go out of their way to help. FYI, they carry Whistle Pig rye much cheaper than anyone else in Boston.

Cheap, well stocked, small but full of all types of liquors, and nice staff. Not easy to look around if you’re not sure about what you’re in the mood for as the aisles are small, but I don’t think it ever gets too busy for you to have a look aroiund anyway.

Best wine selection on the Hill, small but good beer selection as well. Good place to grab some to-​go stuff on your way to the T, or else easy street parking nearby.

The only liquor store in the Dot to which I claim any allegiance. A great and varied selection of beer and wine, and the staff have been remarkably helpful and warm from my first visit — and that was BEFORE I started bringing my dog in during his walks. They fawn over him, give him treats, let him run around behind the counter and pretty much take the place over; he hates to leave and I have to drag him out once I’ve finally made up my mind what I’m getting.
A great way to support a local business while supporting your unhealthy lifestyle. If you walk your dog in Savin Hill, bring your pup in to get spoiled rotten and treated like a local celebrity (even if he’s not as cute as mine is).

It was great until they started insisting that I MUST take a bag if I’m walking to my house down the street. For a six pack? It has a built in handle! I don’t want a bag!
I go to the liquor store behind the Rite Aid now. It’s a much further walk for me and they carry less craft beers, but I don’t want a bag and I don’t want to argue with the old lady about it. The other younger girls who work there have always been nice though.

This is a solid liquor store in the DOT. Just 2 blocks from my front door, which means I can be drinking my beer at home before it gets warm.
They have a good selection of micro brews from out west, including Bear Republic, and Avery. Decent selection of wine too. They will special order beers for you if they can get it.
What keeps me coming back is the friendly staff — they always have a smile for you!

husband and wife couple own+run the store, w/​dog. closed on sundays, take mastercard+visa — walking distance from my house, and though it’s a small shop, good selection of beers. they’ll always hook up the price if you buy the case; and always very friendly. support local business.
