I visited there for lunch. Most of staff are ok. But one man was so rude… Like forcing me order drink in hurry. It is so weird. . Maybe I will not go there. Food was also not delicious

Was my first time at this place recently. Was pretty impressed. The food was good, was rather crowded for during the week which suprised me. The only reason for the 4 star rather than 5 is the price. It was about $ 30 for a weekday dinner buffet but we had a great time nonetheless. Would go back again.

Really Good Food. The staff is very pleasant and they check on your table to see if you’re full of plates lol. The only cons is quite noisy, but it’s allright. Everywhere here in NYC is noisy. Good food! You’ll love it.

I’m kinda scared of buffet dinner. Mizumi changed my mind though. Me and my friends had a great dinner on a busy Monday Memorial day. After 20min waiting for sitting –which it’s not bad at all– we were seated next to the window. Then we started with some sushi, tuna tartar, oysters and clams for appetizers. Gotta tell rolls were dry n clams gross, seriously. Oysters were fresh ! Came here actually for the crab legs and I haven’t been disappointed. Just Delicious and so fresh! Finished our dinner with an ice cream and small pieces of a variety of cakes(mango, strawberry, tiramisu) that for me all of them taste same. Service was good. Generally I enjoyed my dinner but I’m not sure if I come back.

Came here on a Saturday afternoon for a table of 3. Surprisingly, we didn’t have to wait as a friend of mine warned me that it’s usually super crowded. The set up was similar to a usual buffet we go to, Minados in Long Island so it was quite simple and self explanatory. In terms of rolls, there’s a variety of it BUT their rice was harder than it should be. The little plates of sashimi was good, though you can tell they’re the end pieces. Cooked food was pretty good and there were a number of different dishes. The one thing that we were very disappointed in was their dessert section. They had taro and plain yogurt instead of ice cream the taro came out very slushy and didn’t hold and the plain apparently tasted very nasty. The only upside of the dessert was their cakes. They were moist and fluffy. I would give it a 3.5 stars if half stars were available.

Came by Saturday at 2pm(took a two hour commute to this place from brooklyn –_-) Table of 2 was said to be ready in 15minutes. We were seated before then. The drinks are not free but they’re free refills once you order them. In terms of taste, I liked Mizumi a lot. The lunch didn’t have the snow crab legs, lobster or whatever but for $ 25, you can’t ask for too much. I took off a star for lacking in variety. Comparison with The Buffet, less variety but much better taste and quality IMO. Would I be back? Maybe. Not for lunch, maybe for dinner though…

Huge variety of asian food for the buffet. Should have an ice cream machine though and the restaurant will be perfect !!

This place improved vastly from 3 – 4 years ago when i last went. More choices and better tasting food. Went for lunch this past weekend. A ton of choices including the not usually offered items for Asian buffet lunch like sashimi, crabs, raw bar, etc. Sushi area has various rolls, slightly favoring the heavy sauced rolls. Kind of wish they chill with sauce-ing, but they’re easily scraped off and there are a few standard non-sauced rolls. The sushi include the normal selection of tuna, salmon, squid, fish eggs, salmon skin, spicy tuna/salmon/again the sauce themed features. Sashimi is laid out individually on these tiny trays. Most people just dump the fish onto their plate and leave the tiny dishes. Personally I’m too embarrassed to do it, so others doing this just extends the line, very annoying. Mizumi should just nix this idea, the sashimi served are the garbage cuts anyway, why be grimy about it? The hot food selection is also deep. Fried food retain the crisp well enough, obviously not as good as freshly fried and served. But it’ll hit the spot if you’re craving fried stuff. The other hot items are pretty sauce heavy as well. Best to pick and choose the lesser sauced items, it’ll be less salty and soggy. Cold salads remain a disappointment though. Since they’re tossed together, it’s hard to avoid non-sauced areas so they’re just salty as hell. Tasty as hell if you don’t mind the high sodium.

Mizumi is well worth the trip, money, and time! This place for a fact beats IchiUmi(as convenient the lather is) but the raw fish and sushi options in Mizumi are not only better but way fresher! There are just more options of food to select and consume in general. The staff also makes sure to quickly replenish any missing items in the buffet which I find to be super convenient and definitely is appreciative in the customer point of view. Everything overall was pretty good for a buffet standard. The service was ok– nothing special or horrible either. I do have to say that anyone looking for a buffet near the queens/flushing area give this place a go.

You Have 90 minutes eat here, but be careful the waiter might come to ask for check before that… and force you to pay and leave… and also be aware the stating time is right when you are waiting in line … What a rush place to eat… We just enjoy the food but not the service

Came to this place on good Friday and it was packed so I left. Came back on Monday and it was still packed but not as much as a Friday. This place has a wide selection of sushi and assorted Japanese items. A few of the sushi items are very unique and taste good. The waiters ate nice and make sure to take your plate away before you return. My green tea was always filled also. The desert items are good quality and lastly the restrooms are above average. I would not come here for dinner as I feel it’s over priced but lunch is right about what I’d like to pay for sushi.

I can’t say enough amazing things about Mizumi! The venue is perfectly sized for a buffet venue! Tons of seating and opportunities for private events. The food is phenomenal and the pricing is extremely fair. Super sweet staff and the restaurant is always super clean and well organized. We have gone several times already and even had a surprise party for my little sister here and I was shocked I didnt write a review yet!(No time like the present, right?) Its definitely one of my favorite buffets out there… it never feels too crowded and the food is always fresh. Most buffets there’s some stuff that’s good and some stuff that’s not but here EVERYTHING is so good! The hot food, the cold salads, the seafood, the sushi… even the desserts and delicious. Everything was very well picked, flavored and prepared. Honestly when Im on line, whichever plate I see getting refilled, I go straight for it! The servers aren’t pushy and they clear away the dishes very efficiently. Our glasses of water and tea is always full so we have no complaints on that side. Being that drink orders are the only real orders they have to take, I think they do an amazing job taking care of you! They dont rush you but tables move quickly! There’s ample parking in their private parking lot so thats always a plus… One of the most annoying things about local buffets is hunting for a spot thats not too far for you to roll yourself to after you have eaten yourself silly.

Came here with my family. Of all of the sushi buffets that I have tried in NYC, Mizumi is definitely now my all time favorite. First of all, this place is huge and have its own free parking lot outside that fits about 60+ cars. We waited about 10 – 15 mins before we were seated. Please note that this depended on the time and day that you came. We were there on a Saturday night around 7pm. About the food selection, the one thing that I can tell you is that they have a vast selection of sushi(over 10+ options including sushi, nigiri, sashimi, etc) and other hot/cold food and dessert. I am typically picky about my sushi but I can comment that most of the sushi that I tried were very fresh and delicious(as opposed to the Chinese owned sushi places throughout NYC). However the seasoning of the rice should be done a little better, with a little more rice vinegar. Another thing that I love about this place is the fact that they don’t restrict the sashimi that i wanted to try. The people refilled the sushi frequently. They were made fresh in front of us. As for the hot/cold food, they weren’t that extraordinary. They are just like your typical Chinese buffet in taste and selection of food but not as cheap in terms of portions. As for the dessert, they have very few fruits(some grapes, oranges and cantaloupe and melons) but a vast variety of sweets. The portions for their sweets are just right but the flavor of the dessert isn’t that extraordinary that would make me go back for seconds. The same can be said about the froyo machine. They have a green tea and vanilla flavor. It tasted very watery. Beside all of the bad things, this place is definitely better than most of the places I tried in NYC. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family if any one of them wants to experience a high quality sushi buffet!

Better than your average Asian buffet(which I rate them all at 2⁄5 because they are quite honestly terrible and it’s a guaranteed session on the porcelain chair, clutching to dear life to the seat with your toes curled from the pain. Tmi? Oh well, at least you know where I stand with Asian buffets in general. But this place is not bad. Not to say everything was great but the options they did have were decent for a buffet. Well, decent enough for me not to automatically give it a 2⁄5 stars. Their sushi/sashimi selection was ok. It’s a buffet. Don’t come in with high expectations. Go in with low expectations and you’ll be in a good place. Service is slightly better than your average buffet. It’s about average in terms of cleanliness. Parking: Lot but can get full very quickly esp on the wkends Price: $ 22+ per person lunch and $ 30+ per person dinner Wait: None to 30 mins

Of all the buffet style sushi places in Queens and NYC, Mizumi is definitely the champ in terms of selection and presentation. The white tuna and salmon sashimi are phenomenal and taste extremely fresh compared to many other places I’ve been. There is also a wide selection of rolls during dinner time on weekends. They have every kind you can think of with eel, yellowtail, maki, and more! Also, if you want more than just sushi, they have a variety of other cooked dishes as well. They have kimbap, mini bowls of bibimbap, udon, and fried seafood dishes. Make sure to get the soba noodles with soy sauce, many people ignore it but it’s one of my favorite! The only reason I took one star off is the tremendous price tag that comes in the form of a bill at the end of the meal. At night on weekends it’s around $ 40 per person with tip. As good as the dinner was, I feel a jab in the heart every time I cough up the money. Overall I’d definitely come back with friends or for a special occasion, but it’s just way too expensive to make a regular dinner spot.

Okay the line was already long enough, but that was okay since the food looked good and heard good things about this place. Came in around 5:30pm and had to wait about 45 minutes which was okay. Got seated and ordered green tea and ice tea. Can’t believe they charge for even tea! About $ 2.50 a cup with free refill but still. I wasn’t notified at all about the charge until the bill came! Next then went out to get most of every cooked food there was to give it a small try. It was decent, nothing flattering or special. Next plate I tried all the sushi and raw food. The raw oysters and clams were horribly so frozen that it left a taste of plastic in it. Immediately stopped eating it before I might get food positioning or stomachache. Try at your own risk. Tried the raw sushi and cooked sushi, they were all okay. Nothing special again. Just that there’s lots of variety. The rice and sea weed from the sushi was hard !! Not the way sushi is suppose to be at all. I mean they have so many plates refilling it, so I even tried the fresh batches but was the same issue. Lastly I tried their fruits and dessert which was so limited. Only had pineapple, cantaloupe, grapes, and melon. That was it. Then as for dessert, they had match yogurt and the plain one. Tried the matcha and tastes nothing like match except milk all the way! Maybe since it was Valentine’s Day today, they had chocolate covered strawberries and they were HUGE and delicious! But every time they refilled the plates of strawberries, it was only about 9 in a plate and people are literally waiting there to take it once they take it out. Overall it was a okay experience but wouldn’t be coming back. Great staffs but food was okay.

Love, love, love this AYCE place. The restaurant is well maintained and clean. I’ve only eaten here a couple of times and the wait for me was never longer than ten minutes, but I’ve come on weekday nights, not sure how it is for weekends(I can imagine it’s a lot busier though). Service is great, they remove your finished plates so it never piles up on the table, they make sure your water glass is full, and just make sure your party is good and has what ever they need. Food = awesome. They have a great selection of sushi and sashimi, meats, seafood, and other various entrée/appetizer type dishes. I’m a big raw oyster and clam person so I always pig at them when I go. Must have when you’re there(if you’re into that stuff). Their teriyaki meats are excellent and well sauced/flavored. Only critique is when I had their bok choy it was very very hard so I didn’t bother having it anymore. Desserts are just like any other AYCE place, with their mini cakes, crème puffs, ice cream, fruits and jellos, and churros.

For some reason, everyone says there’s a wide selection of food to choose from. For me, it seems limited and pre-fixed(meaning you will end up repeating 2 – 3 of the same plates alternating between meats and seafood). I came here for a 4 year anniversary lunch with bae and it was a good experience, was seated immediately. We arrived at 12ish and the restaurant had just opened at 11:30am but was already half filled. Food was ready and smelled delicious. This venue has a good display of food and presents itself well with waiters and waitresses roaming around to assist. During lunch you miss out on the night time deals like king crabs, etc,. However for a total of 20 $ it was definitely worth. It was 50 $ for both me and bae including tip&tax. Recommend!

Dayum this place is addicting to come to. Being the glutton I am, I found myself back here for the second time in several years to have a birthday dinner with the fam. Pro Tip: Arrive right when the place opens on weekends for dinner service. Within 30 – 60 mins after, this place becomes a mad house! Better get there first if you want first dibs at the food, because everyone gets a bit… rude and jumpy moving around the buffet area. Just phrasing that in a nice way… As for the food, pretty decent(for a buffet) with plenty of sushi and hot food offerings. Lots of variety of sushi and sashimi, although I think Minado just has the edge. The hot food selection here tops Minado by far for its variety. Every seafood imaginable whether it’s baked, fried or grilled. Korean bbq meats, kalbi, pork belly, even small personal bibimbaps. They have your typical hot soups too(and oddly New England clam chowder — still good). Dessert does lack, if not a bit than a lot actually. Green tea machine put out more a sour frozen yogurt. Fruit options lack a bit, along with dessert pastries which taste more artificial than you’d like. 90 minute eating limit does piss me off a bit. I’m not a slow eater, I’m just a marathoner who doesn’t stop eating. And yes they’ll give you a warning to stress you out even more.
