Gable Sporting Goods

This is a great store. Good selection of quality firearms and hunting gear and most importantly an experienced bunch of folks who can answer questions and get you set up with what you need. Gable’s is a hike from where I’m at but definitely worth the drive.

I am at gables only one customer and been here for twenty minutes three employees no fucking service yet, so you think I’ll be back unless they give me a hell of a dang deal, I got money in hand right now

The Gable family is one of the most respected and trusted names in the Sporting goods business and certainly in Douglas County. I shop with them because they are honest, friendly and treat you like family. You just cant get that in the big box stores. If you like the personal touch and building a relationship… then this is the place for you. Highly recommended. Ask for Blaine Gable or Rome Smith… two of the finest gentlemen I know.

They close at 4pm. Who closes at 4pm?

This place has been around forever and there is a reason why, they are wonderful! They have great prices and will help you find exactly what you need, if they don’t have something in stock they will order it. Also, a huge selection of guns and bows for the man in your life. Hometown family run business with super friendly staff.

Gable’s sporting goods has been around atleast as long as I have and probably much longer. Clark gable and the guys that run this place are old school douglasville for me. My grandfather has been buying guns and various other sporting supplies from them since atleast sometime in the 1970’s.
The shop is a little out of the way and doesn’t look like all that much from outside. You can really drive right past it if your not looking for it. They have a great selection of firearms (both handguns and long guns) as well as supplies and accessories. They also deal in fishing, baseball, football and any other sporting need you can imagine. My parents ordered my highschool letter jacket from them when i was in highschool like 12 years ago. Thats another huge part of their business.
The staff here is very friendly and will talk to you as long as you want to hang around. I’ve gone in here on days when i didn’t really have anything else to do and stood around talking guns and politics for hours and not even realizing it. These guys know their stuff, many of them have worked here for ten or more years and have been hunting and shooting their whole lives. I’ve bought two guns from them and their prices are usually $ 30-​$ 50 less than some other shops. Also their just about the only place to buy new guns anywhere around Douglasville.
If your our in D-​Ville and need some sporting equipment forget the mall, drive a little out of the way and check out Gable’s. If they don’t have what yoru looking for they can probably order it and if they can’t atleast you’ll meet some really nice folks.
