AAA Expert Heating and Air Conditioning

Stay away! We bought a complete heat/​ac unit from them 9 years ago. Had a few repairs along the way but no real issues until it stopped working last week. They are refusing to honor my warranty saying it was void. Their repair person was completely rude and left dried blood smeared on the floor in my basement. The contract we have is bogus. They attempted to add additional terms to the contract that do not appear on my copy, and they claimed that was due to a «faulty typewriter». I wish I would have done my homework because I would have seen they are shady. They claim on their website and marketing materials that they are BBB Accredited but they are not — check the BBB site yourself. Shady, shady, shady.

In short, these guys wasted my time, and then waited until the last minute to surprise me with a $ 109 fee for a written estimate despite their free in-​home estimate policy!
I was referred to AAA Expert Heating and Air Conditioning, and am sorry to say I won’t be referring them to anyone. I had AAA come out to estimate the replacement of two air conditioners and a furnace while I was under contract to buy the home being estimated. I had every intention of hiring the contractors who provided estimates for work.
AAA Expert was difficult to work with in setting up the appointment and get confirmation. In the time we were waiting to hear back regarding a date and time, my realtor recommended another HVAC company, which in hindsight I wish we had used instead of AAA Expert. After several follow ups and a few days later, we finally got Joe from AAA Expert out there to do the estimate. After 2 more days of waiting for the estimate, Joe from AAA Expert surprised me with a $ 109 charge before he would provide the written estimate. RIDICULOUS! By this time it was the end of my attorney review period and I needed the estimate promptly for contract purposes and had no choice but to pay it.
I later followed up to dispute the charge, which is against the policy stated on their website:
They refused to refund my money, so I won’t be using these guys in the future. So much for a company that touts customer service and a complaint free award.

We had no heat on black wed heading into turkey day. I frantically called the 24 hour number and the gentleman who answered was super nice and extremely accommodating. He stated no one could come out tonight, but to bundle up and someone would be there first thing in the am (thanksgiving day). He then called back and said he could get a guy out tonight, which we opted not to do. Needless to say the next morning my heat was back up and running thanks to Kevin (I think). Thanks again!

I called these guys when my furnace went out in February. I did my due diligence and got quotes from as many companies as I had time for. Everyone that came out told me the same thing, that if I didn’t pay an additional couple hundred dollars for some valve I might have problems with my air conditioning come summertime. I chose these guys because they carried the brand of furnace that I wanted, and I told them to make sure that they did whatever was necessary to ensure I didn’t have any issues with my air conditioner, which I was charged extra for. I even remember asking them that if I did have issues come summer, if they’d take care of it free of charge, and he assured me I wouldnt be charged. So summertime comes around and my AC doesn’t work, I call them up and they charged me a close to $ 300 to fix it, and wanted to charge me an extra $ 500 to determine the cause of some leak, which was never identified by Fire and Ice heating and cooling the year prior. I feel like I got totally screwed. I dont recommend this place.

I’ll never use them again. They rather replace then repair. Stated repairs would be $ 2100.00, so it’s best to replace it all for $ 3000.00. Called the pres/​owner of the company because my furnace is only 3.9 years old. Plus, AAA installed the furnace in the fist place, so I thought something might fall under the 10-​year warranty. Help me out, I am your customer… correction I was their customer. The pres/​owner (Which has no customer skills), acted as if I was in the wrong for suggesting such a thing. So I called a few other companies to start receiving quotes. The quotes for repairs were around $ 750.00. No other company suggested replacement @ all. It would have been $ 350.00 but they had to repair the damage AAA did to my mother broad during the first inspection. As the person stated before me «Do yourself a favor, and choose another company!»

I’d have to recommend you steer clear of these folks!
I signed one of their service contracts, and two days after the provided my «cleaning» service, my Air Conditioner quit working. When I opened the outside unit to investigate, I saw dirt, leaves, and cobwebs! After only two days!
I tried to get a refund, and they would not return my calls. I filed a charge back on my credit card, and they fought and refused to pay me back, even though they have a money back guarantee.
Do yourself a favor, and choose another company!
