Hair Studio One

On a whim I decided to get a facial near my work. I was looking on the web and ran aross a cute website for Wheres Amy and decided to give them a shot. I AM SO GLAD I DID
Not only did I leave with glowing skin and feel completely relaxed, the prices were totally reasonable. I have had facials before where I felt like I was on a conveyor belt, boom, boom, boom, everything completely rushed and extremely expensive… not here. I will definitely go back again!!!

I love this place! When you get your hair cut here they actually listen to what you want! Or in my case figure it out for you! Highlights are cheaper here than in the cheap salons like Hair Cuttery & Great Clips. It made me so happy to hear that! I wanted to try highlights but wasn’t willing to pay $ 150 – 200 for my length. Hair Studio One was half that! I have been trying to find a place as amazing as this since I moved but haven’t gotten anywhere with that. It’s comfortable, reasonably priced, and I always love my cut (even though I never choose it)! I don’t do much with my hair and don’t really care much about it so Caroline always chooses my cut for me. I have very thin hair that doesn’t do a whole lot so she grabs her razor & makes it look like I actually style my hair (even if it just air dried). When I went home for the holidays I made sure to make an appointment to get my hair cut here.

Hair Studio One is across from the DG library and resides in the first floor of a house. Very friendly, knowledgeable staff. I’ve never been a «beauty shop» person – don’t like the small talk, but I’ve found this place really comfortable and fun and my hair looks GREAT – Thanks Caroline! My hair is very thick & I get a razor cut which she does a fantastic job. I’ve seen women from teens to seniors in the salon and all are happy with the results. The only reason I said 4 stars & not 5 is they don’t carry Aveda products.
