Salty salty beef dip sandmich. Will come back again to try another sandmich and hopefully upgrade my review.

This place is amazing. The food is soooo good and fresh and the beer selection is wonderful. I loved it. The employees are great nice and friendly and they take time to explain the beers they have… I will definitely be back …

Came here twice and both times I’ve left satisfied. First time I got the Big Ben so yummy over stuffed with pastrami and shared the inferno fries in my boyfriend. They were so yummy With an awesome kick. The second time around I ordered the BLT with No Tomatoes and it was ok the bacon was super crispy a little to crispy for me but I did enjoy their grapefruit soda.

Ok, I don’t even know where to begin. Let’s just say its super bomb. Your eating quality real food ! Even there pickles are good. Every beer you can think of with amazing sandwiches. So good! Dint even think twice about coming here. Just get here. You won’t regret it. They don’t make places like this anymore. If they are any they are so hard to find.

I wish I could give this place 10 stars! This is my go to place! The atmosphere is awesome and they have beer on draft annnnnnd they always have something good playing on tv! What more could you ask for?!? Turkey sandwich & 805!

My friend and I are getting really bored with the lack of food establishments in the Downey area near our job and are constantly looking for different places to try.
I found this deli through good ol’ Unilocal.It’s a small deli shop wedged in between a few other shops which can be easily overlooked and the parking lot can get a bit crowded.
Upon entering… the establishment is a bit dim but you first notice the amazing supply of all kind of beers that lined up their wall and a small bar in the back with a bartender. Tables are situated down the middle of the deli and a counter near the deli meats where you can place your order.
I chose the tuna melt on sourdough and my friend ordered the pastrami. They were quick in their service and the portion size was generous. My tuna was nice and hot with gooey cheese. Veronica enjoyed her pastrami and peppers.
One guy near our table ordered a flight of beer and was impressed with the line up.
I am glad we found this place, I definitely see myself coming here more often and trying out different sandwiches. A future catering order will be a must.
Btw, they do cut fresh meats and cheeses.

I have lived in Downey for two years and today was my first time going to uncle henerys deli I loves it my sandwich was amazing!

Absolutely loved this place. Portions are perfect, beer selection is awesome and the quality is outstanding. I was very pleased with this deli. Also the staff was very friendly.

I have been coming to this location for years and was not aware of this gem. I really enjoyed this place. The deli selections were great. I tried the Rachel. It’s a Ruben but with Pastrami. I had their potato salad which was just right. With so many beer selections I tried their German Hefeweizen it was good. So I need to go back soon for sure. The staff is really friendly. I just wish it was bigger but if you don’t mind charing tables you will love this place.

First time tryin this place I’ve always passed through here and I can’t believe that I’ve missing on this small but very delicious gem and I gotta say I never expected to be blown out of my mind with these fresh and big portion size subs for my first time I went with «the original» for my cold sandwich and I got a «Big B» for my Hot sandwich both very delicious and big portions not to mentioned fresh ingredients! They also got a amazing wide big selection of bottle and draft beer!..

What an amazing hidden gem! It has 105 beers on tap and so far the ones i tried are great. The sandwiches are delicious. Big portions but well worth it and its not even expensive so i will definitely be going back.

The sandwiches are delicious with generous portions of meat and the ingredients are all fresh. Among the very best sandwiches in Downey.
It is a little more expensive than the chain sandwich shops, but the extra cost is well worth it because of the great quality,

Small place, but great selection of sandwiches and beer! We always go in a group, about 6 – 8 people, but we don’t mind been crowded, but I guess it depends the on the time of the day. It’s fun with the people we go with and others around us are friendly and social too. Wallet friendly and great atmosphere. Their pastrami sandwich is the best!

Great sandwiches! I’ve only stopped by and picked up food to go. I’m sure their beer selection is awesome.
We ordered 20 sandwiches for my sons birthday party and everyone loved them. Especially the vegetarian sandwich on wheat!

That was a good turkey sandwich!
Visited Uncle Henry’s for a brew and some grub. A friend raves over how good the turkey, bacon and avocado sandwich is here so I figured I’d try it out. However, the Oink & Gobble caught my attention instead as its a hot sandwich and I was looking for something toasted. I also love sourdough so that played into my choice as well.
This was delicious, tasted fresh and was quite filling. I ordered the super size version. I came close to ordering the baby bomber but wouldn’t have finished it in one sitting since I wasn’t that hungry and it’s practically two sandwiches stacked on top of each other. Have no doubt, I will be knocking back a baby bomber my next visit.
The staff was cool & chill as well and the beer selection was great. I had a nice cold 805 to wash down my sandwich and fries. Perfect way to spend a Saturday night and I will be having more visits just as this one.

Forever and ever best spot to come for sanwhiches.
Fast service theirs plenty of Parking… plenty of options for different sanchwiches.

Biggest Sandwiches around town, you feel like your on the food network hosting a man vs food competition.
Craft beer options are some of the best and this deli is in my top 5 places to eat and drink! Hot Rods welcome! They always have a classic tbucket in front so you feel like happy days when you walk in.
Killer rueben, beef dip, pastrami and potatoes, huge portions. There are soooo many taps. you won’t want to leave! They carry bottles to go which is nice since the bottle selection is top notch. I’d give them 10 stars if i could, since the remodel seating is nice spacious.
You’ll be hard pressed to find another Uncle Henry’s Deli. It’s the only place of it’s kind round these parts.

Colleagues recommended this place. It is neatly tucked away at the corner of Old River School Rd and Florence.
I ordered a super size pastrami sandwich. Total with tax came to $ 10.90.
Pros:
Lots of beer on tap.
TV’s to catch sports.
Cons:
Employee was preparing the sandwich without gloves on. It was weird seeing this at a sandwich place. (–1)
Very expensive for the portion served. Also, one sandwich is not filling enough. Sandwich was just A-​OK. (–2)
No display/​menu board to look at prior to ordering food. There is a menu to look at, at the counter while ordering.

Let me just say… I LOVE THIS PLACE. They have wonderful beers to try. The food is more than delicious, the dudes are super cool. What more can I say, I’d recommend to any, and everyone!!! I’ll definitely be back.
