Essentials Salon & Day Spa

Went there to celebrate mom’s 75^th b’day. Boy was this a treat. We had the signature manicure & pedicures. From the moment we walked in we were treated like the queen and princess that we are. We were offered beverages while we waited. Then we were escorted back to Wendy & Brianna. These woman were fun and joked around with us. They offered us champagne to celebrate mom’s b’day. Brianna & Wendy did a fantastic job on our nails too. They really made our experience fantastic. Highly recommend them & Essentials as the place to go to be pampered.

My mom and I came to Essentials Salon before my prom night. We both got manicures, and I also had my hair styled. The women who worked with us were very unprofessional. The manicurists were chatty and took too long. My hair stylist, on the other hand, was in a rush to leave on her break, and took very little time to do my hair. In the end, my hair and nails were sloppy, and I was very disappointed. We will not be returning to this salon.

Guess what this place STILL gets 5 stars — I am STILL a loyal customer. Annette still does my hair and if (God forbid) she ever leaves Essentials I will follow her to wherever she goes.
They have recently updated the pedicure area with newer, comfier chairs, which is very nice!
In all the years I have gone here, I can MAYBE count on one hand the amount of less-​than-​satisfactory experiences I’ve had. This will be my salon for life as everything I ever need done, they do so much better than the rest. Nails, pedis, massages, eyebrow waxes, hair cuts and color — everything! I’ve even started bringing my daughter here for hair cuts. They truly do a great job.

I have been so completely satisfied with all my experiences at Essentials. From my awesome hair stylist, Stacie to waxing by J. All the people there have been very, very friendly and helpful, especially Mary who is extremely warm and outgoing. I had my daughter go there for her bridal day. They did makeup and hair, for her and bridesmaids, just couldn’t be happier! She goes there now and has been pleased. So this is a win win!

Had a massage with Kelly S and it was by far one of the BEST massages I have ever had. She took the time to talk to me beforehand and I explained to her what I wanted and she made it happen. She was sweet and had stellar customer service. I actually booked a couples massage with her in a few weeks so I can bring my fiancé. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was the girl at the front desk. She looked annoyed and bothered when I asked to schedule another appointment. It was really busy in there, but it just seemed as if I was being rushed out. Hopefully I can update my review when I go back and give 5 stars :)

Great service and amazing products. I love Aveda and I love that Essentials supports that line. Everyone is super friendly and I always enjoy coming here. They have a lot of services that they offer including hair and nails.

My bridal party had a great experience at Essentials on the morning of my wedding. Jackie K. did our hair and Kate did our make up — we couldn’t have been happier!

I have been coming here for more than 25 years (2 previous locations). My nail tech and colorist are very professional. I have gone to other salons for a pedi in the area and the ladies wear gloves, ignore you and possibly thin the polish because it’s chipping off after a week. And if Essentials messes up your next appointment is on the house. The owners are great and and aim to please. The new pedi chairs are wonderful. Per Coleen G. That sounds just like the girl that cut my hair in Valley Square last spring. She was a super miserable person and I did get up and leave before she was done. Paid, left a small tip and will NEVER return to Warrington. I emailed the owner and they offered me another hair sevice @ NC. I will be back D-​town.

I am a regular and see Emilie. She is wonderful hair stylist and very professional. Always consults me about what I want; color, hair part, cut, etc. Love our conversations we have while she works her magic.
Love Bu and the other technicians that wash, condition and massage my hair.
I have had the best eyebrow wax here too. No red or irritated skin.

Love the smell of the place, the Aveda Tea and my fabulous colorist/​stylist Kristen. It doesn’t get any better.

Brittany is awesome! I got a pedicure and a gel manicure and my nails turned out so good! I felt so relaxed and Brittany was very nice and friendly!

I am new to the area– I love my stylist back home but wanted to find a salon closer to me. Heard great things about Essentials so I booked a blowout last minute for a wedding I was attending. I usually don’t complain and would never do this unless I was so annoyed by it. The only reason I gave this spa 1 star was for the girl that washed my hair. My hairstylist for my blowout was so miserable– she would not converse w me — I felt like I was annoying her. She never asked me how I wanted my hair styled– I even had to say «hey I don’t part my hair on that side». She never asked me if I liked the style when she was done and didn’t offer any suggestions to make it last on a hot day. I felt like she had no idea what she was doing– it took forever to just blow my hair out. She even started styling/​curling my hair while it was still damp. Ugh. Then on top of it all– it cost me $ 65.00! When I asked why since they start at $ 29– they said the length of my hair and the fact that it was curled. I just wanted one time to not have to do my hair– I just wanted to treat myself and I was totally let down– I could have personally done better myself.

Very unprofessional. Who wants to see stylists standing out front smoking?! I have never been satisfied with any services here. I also hear the owners are horrible.

I got my haircut this past weekend with Brandi. I was not happy with the cut while I was there and asked her to fix it, it still didn’t look good but I didn’t want her to keep cutting. Now I have to go get another haircut this week to get it fixed. The cut took 5 mins because she just went straight across, it’s so blunt and uneven. She also had just taken her smoke break before cutting my hair, so smelled like an ashtray. Not a good experience and won’t be going back. Waste of money and will have to get my haircut even shorter.

I drove over to Essentials immediately from another Salon that had royally botched my hair. I had been going to this other salon for over a year and they were fine until I asked for an ombré/​balayage on my hair. They completely screwed it up and I went back to them two times for a repair. Every time it kept coming out worse and worse. I was devastated and had had enough. Lauren at Essentials is a lifesaver! She completely redid the terrible work that had been done and it now looks SO much better. She didn’t even charge me the full amount for the repair, probably because she felt so bad for me and knew that I had already spent way too much for the other salon to do all this damage. I will definitely be going back to her! She is wonderful.

I have never been disappointed coming here.
My mom and I will frequently come for some girl time. We normally get our nails done and sometimes get massages and facials. They do an awesome job with my nails and the ladies that work there are super friendly and nice. I have also enjoyed the other treatments that I’ve gotten there.
It is a bit of a hike for me to get there, but it is well worth it!

Went here for a bikini wax and they double dipped their sticks! I had to walk out! Soooooo disgusted!

I’ve been going to Essential’s since I was a child because it’s practically in my backyard and Guy has been cutting my hair since I was 5. I love the atmosphere here, the staff is extremely knowledgeable and I’ve never had a bad cut or color. They’re truly professionals! The reason I am not giving 5 stars is because the prices are a little high and they don’t often have discount/​coupon opportunities.

Warrington Location: Danielle is a great stylist. She’s also the best girl for body waves. Come here for your Aveda products, she suggested the dry scalp spray for me b/​c my scalp itches in the winter and it works amazingly well to soothe that. I like that she doesn’t talk a lot or when she does it doesn’t distract her, you know what I mean! There have been times when people cut my hair and think it’s so straight they don’t have to give it any detail: WRONG.
