Best restaurant in Tri-county area. You could literally sweep Luigis and it’s staff right out of DuBois and place it anywhere and it would compete. The atmosphere is cozy enough for a family dinner but also romantic enough for a special dinner date with a loved one. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted by good looking, genuinely nice staff who will do almost anything to accommodate you. The food is amazing. Fresh baked, THICK, Italian bread every day, mouth watering home made pastas(the cavatelli and gnocchi are the best), delicious appetizers like Italian hot peppers(stuffed or fried) and bruschetta, homemade pizzas(try the Jack Daniels for a unique sauce that is sweet and spicy) and strombolis, a HUGE selection of amazing sauces that would be enough to make you frequent this place alone(pesto alfredo, Mia’s sauce(a combination of the marinara and alfredo), hot pepper hot sausage in a red sauce, and a hidden menu sauce, sweet sausage alfredo are the best), and at least a dozen signature dishes and a HUGE selection of specials and home made soups that change daily. Go on a Friday or Saturday night, ask for the best waiter named Jon(he’ll be there), and don’t forget you can substitute any pasta with any sauce as a side instead of spaghetti with red sauce when you order a signature dish. The bar is beautiful, they have Peroni on draft. The desserts are excellent and homemade too. This place is a hidden gem.

A great cozy home-town restaurant. They have great meals, and friendly staff. The owner is often there and checks in with customers. It’s probably the best restaurant in DuBois.

Very good food with excellent service. Went here while staying overnight in Du Bois. Had the sausage appetizer and steak dinner. Meal was very good and the price didn’t spoil it. Stop by, you will not regret it.

The food was phenomenal. The best Italian food I’ve had that is close to mine. I had wedding soup which was tasty. I ordered the tour of Italy. It was Cheesey Lasagna with sauce. Fettuccine Alfredo made with home made noodles and real Alfredo sauce. A piece of chicken parm that was a real piece of breaded chicken with sauce not like olive garden that gives you a pre made cardboard chicken patty and sauce. Oh and I forgot the home made meatball which was also tasty too. My husband had Chicken parm over penne pasta. My daughter had ravioli with meat sauce. The ravioli were pretty big in size and plentiful. I am from New Jersey and would Definately recommend this place for dinner.

We heard about this place through Unilocal.8pm, one hour away from our hotel and decided to give it a try. proved out to be a great bet, just like other people are saying it really is a gem! authentic food, home made, fresh — really good tasting amd great service. highly recommended However, deserts are not their strong side. don’t touch the cannoli…

We ate here again and had two distinctly different meals. My wife had the salmon which was on point — nice veg and baked potato to go with it. I had the mushroom ravioli which was a total letdown — definitely machine made and not freshly-made in Luigi’s kitchen with a red sauce that tasted like it was straight from a jar. Be warned that based on what we experienced you may have distinctly different dining experiences — I give it 2 stars because of its uneveness.

We had an excellent meal. Lobster ravioli needed a little salt but it was very tasty. My hubby had the lasagna which was a nice portion. We both cleaned our plates. I loved the sun dried tomato balsamic vinegrette. It was sweet and tangy. Warm doughy bread. Overall well worth the price.

I don’t give five stars much but when I do it has to be good. Good atmosphere, food and company.

I’d say food was 3.5, but I’ll round up to 4. My husband and I were looking for a decent lunch along I-80 on a Sunday while traveling from Cleveland area to NYC area. We had the margarita pizza and cheese ravioli with a side salad accompanied by house made French dressing. Everything was good, along with the basket of freshly baked bread. Pleasant customer service experience.

The service was great. As soon as we sat down to eat, we were greeted by the owner. He took the time to go around to all the tables and make conversation. He was very friendly and courteous. I ordered the chicken parm, and it was delicious. My date ordered the«Tour of Italy». I was in awe of the amount of food I had received. It was enough to feed me for days, and for a reasonable price. The food was delicious and the service was great. We plan on going back very soon to try some more things on the menu!

We were really impressed with the food, service, and ambiance. Luigi’s is right off i-80, on a 3 – 4 hour stretch of the highway with few good food options. We will definitely be stopping here again on our journeys from NJ to Chicago.

We stopped here while passing through on I-80. Pasta was pretty bad but the bathroom was good. My son appreciated the cleanliness of the toilet as he was throwing up his dinner.

I mean. So good. And quite a surprise. Road trip tip: it’s right off of 80& a perfect place to stop. If the weather is good & you, the kids or dogs need to stretch your legs? There is a playground local(Dubois City Memorial Park). We ordered take out & picnicked delicious Italian food. The kids got to play & the adults didn’t have to eat junk. The Italian Wedding soup & house dressing for the garden salad was amazing. The salad(we got tomato salad) was worth the trip itself. The portions were huge and just all around good stuff. The sauce /pasta was solid. They were very accommodating to a big pick up order, clearly they are used to them. Even a pick up window behind the main store front entrance. We will be back!

This is one of my and my husbands all-time favorite restaurants. We live over an hour a way and still frequently make the trip because it is just such a great place! The food, atmosphere, and service are all wonderful and the prices are reasonable. The ambiance makes you feel like you’ve been transported to an old Italian restaurant in NYC(or Italy, for that matter!) where everybody is treated like family. The owner frequently comes around and greets guests and is always very friendly. I’ve never been disappointed by a single thing on the menu — everything is made in-house and is top notch. Some favorites include the Italian Sausage Stuffed Peppers appetizer, Cheesesteak Pizza, and absolutely anything with either their Jack Daniels sauce or Alfredo sauce! They also have quite an extensive gluten free menu that is really good, including the gluten free pizza. My bridal shower was held here as well since we love it so much and the staff did an amazing job of hosting the event. I’ve also had their catering at weddings and other events and it is excellent as well. Hands down one of my favorite restaurants in the world!

Great atmosphere food is fresh made. You can really taste the difference. Soup and pasta are amazing try the Italian wedding soup. Fish not best but too far from the ocean so understandable. We were traveling to Michigan and this a good stop off the I80. The bread is absolutely great so try it. Waitresses looked cute too which my wife didn’t like too much. ;) Service is great.

So glad we stopped here on our way back home to philly. Loved this whole experience! Food + service + environment. Loved all of it. Got a tour of the place as soon as we walked in by the owner Eddie. Such a great guy! Very personable and complimented the restaurant’s overall ambiance!

Just passing by, pizza is a different style, delicious. The crust is slightly undercooked, which lets it soak the flavor. Gnocci is consistent and al dente!
