Worst doctor’s experience I’ve ever had. Dr. Bennett was actually a very nice dentist but my 1 star rating(I wish I could go lower) is whole heatedly directed at the office personnel. It’s a long story so here are the high points. 1. I was told to come in 15 minutes early for my first appointment but no one came to the front desk even through I was call thing the office phone until it was exactly my appointment time. 2. The office sent my $ 38 bill to the wrong address numerous times. I called and left messages 5 times before someone called me back from Dr. Bennett’s office. I knew that I owed them money but I never saw the bill. The account manager kept telling me that I was late and that this was my fault even though I never gave them the address that they sent the bills too. Then he threatened to send me to collections and take me to court over my $ 38 unpaid bill yet he refused to send the bill to the correct address. At the end of the call he finally agreed to send me what I consider the first bill. I sent a check the very next day. Less than a week later I got a letter from a collections agency. I was able to view the cashed check on my bank’s website so I knew they already had the money. Two more weeks went by and I never heard anything more so I thought this angry & vengeful account manager was through proving his point. Today I got another letter from the collections agency. You cannot attack your customers like this. What is wrong with you? I just want you out of my life. You have your money. Leave me alone.

I found Dublin Dental through an Amazon Local deal — I hadn’t been to a dentist in, oh, seven years, so I figured it was time to assess the damage that I had caused. I actually got an appointment the day I called due a cancellation(score!) and was greeted by two very friendly folks. After about 10 minutes, someone else came over to apologize profusely for my wait and offer me a free whitening tray kit to make up for it(which is like $ 300) — so that was incredibly awesome gesture, and completely unnecessary because the 15 minute wait really didn’t bother me, but I graciously accepted. My teeth cleaning went well, they found only one cavity, and got me back in a couple days later to take care of it. Again I was impressed with how likeable all of the staff was. The filling went smoothly. They offer their own kind of insurance if you don’t have it — it’s like $ 260 and gets you 2 free cleanings/x-rays/exams, plus discounts on X-Rays and fillings and stuff. They also have a fantastic payment plan, which they explained to me as «pay whatever you want/can each month, and you’ll stay off our radar.» No interest. They’re open til 7 on Thursdays and one Saturday each month which is great for accommodating appointments around a work schedule.

Not having dental insurance SUCKS. No question. Letting your teeth rot because of money issues sucks even worse, though, so when I saw a Groupon a while back for 70% off a cleaning, x-rays, exam, and fluoride treatment I was stoked. The staff at this practice were all beyond nice. They were the sort of people who, even at 8AM on a Monday, I could easily laugh with and hold a comfortable conversation.(«This stuff is: supposed: to taste like citrus.», «So this neurologist and I are in a band together…», «The numbness should be gone by your lunch date, no worries.») My lack of insurance –and subsequent non-attendance for regular dental cleanings– meant I had to make a second visit to Dr. Bennett for a filling, which unfortunately my Groupon definitely didn’t cover. Being the genuinely nice people that they are, they offer 10% off services to anyone without insurance as well as a payment plan, so my tooth and I are now much less achy. The cherry on top that makes this a 5-star place? Dr. Bennett himself called me the night after I got my filling to follow up and make sure everything was ok. Now that’s great service.
