This is my go to phở spot in the tri-valley area. The phở and other Vietnamese dishes are cheap and reliably delicious. The service is really friendly and the place always has a bustling atmosphere. I get the flank and brisket phở bowl($ 8.50). The medium size is filling enough for me. They are super generous with the amount of beef. The broth and noodles are good too. We also got the pork chop and egg over steamed rice dish($ 10). Simple and amazing especially when you pour the sauce over it. Highly recommend if you want to try something other than phở here!

This place is awesome especially for the price. Service is good and fast for take out. Order a phở ga and it’s plenty of food even the medium. Large is a little bigger for slightly more. Fried chicken is very good as well. Also you can tell this is good because it’s usually busy with a nice mix of clientele. You have some people who prefer Americanized Asian cuisine coupled with many people who don’t eat much other than Vietnamese.

The food was good, albeit a bit oily, and it was served shortly after ordering. The service was not good. Apparently you have to go up to the counter to pay your bill as no one ever brought it to us, nor did anyone ever come to check on how we were doing so we could ask for our bill. There was an uncomfortable moment for me when some of the staff looked at me standing at the counter and they said some things in Vietnamese and laughed hysterically. I guess I should be happy I was able to give some people a good laugh.

Pretty good phở spot in the tri-valley area. You know it’s good if theres a line out the door for lunch. Had the phở ga and was pleasantly surprised at the amount of thinly sliced chicken that was given. The broth was clean and flavorful without much msg effects after finishing. Yes, service can be spotty but what do you expect its a Asian restaurant. We did get water refills though after receiving our food so that’s a bonus star on its own.

Service — 3 stars The service here is very quick, food is normally out within 5 minutes after placing order. However after receiving your meal do not expect to get any further attention, including refills of water. Also, I have found it much faster to pay my bill at the counter than wait for them to bring me my check. Food — 3 stars The food is good, nothing special. My one complaint would be about their beverages(iced teas and coffees). They are served in small to go cups that are filled to the brim with ice, for $ 4.50 I would expect more beverage. Overall this place is a solid 3 stars and I will continue to visit.

We came here after a long night, tryna find some soup to eat. My friends ordered Phở, I ordered HUTIEUNAMVANG. Ok let me stop here real quick. Usually everyone eat Hu Tieu Nam Vang DRY, so everyone expect it to be DRY, so did I. The waiter didnt even ask if I wanted it dry or with soup, I was expected it to be dry. Then he brough out a bowl with soup in it. I knew it was a mistake so I asked him«Can you please exchange it to a dry one?» He said«okay» 2 mins later, guess what? He brought out the exact same bowl like before and all he did was POUROUTTHESOUP. I asked him«Isnt this the same bowl earlier but you just poured the soup out?» Then he LIED to me that this is a new bowl! I was like Okay whatever its fine then,(Because I am pretty sure They would spit into my bowl if I made them to make another bowl!!) I tried a few pieces and didnt wanna continue. The ONLY reason I gave this restaurant a one star because I told them I didnt wanna pay for my bowl so they agreed to it. Otherwise, the food isnt good and the service sucks! How could you lie to your customers? How stupid of you when you want to save a $ 10 of food, you didnt wanna make me a new one and now you are losing customers! Such«smart» move you had. I attached pictures of my Hu Tieu Nam Vang bowl that they brought out the second time, I didnt even eat or mix it up yet, some of the soup was still at the bottom! Anyone could tell that they pour out the soup from the bowl they made before! This restaurant thinks that their customers are stupid like they are or what? Never come back and everyone please watch out!

My go-to phở place in the Dublin area. Love the selection they have and am always pleased with the food. Service is what’s expected of a typical Asian restaurant, quick and to the point. Portion sizes are great as well, only thing off is soup to content ratio. Sometimes too much soup but for $ 8 for a full meal, you can’t go wrong. Great parking lot and the place is relatively clean.

After a weekend of no fun in Tahoe because I was sick, I requested phở for dinner once we were back in the Bay Area. This is my brother’s stand-by place for phở, and I can see why. Nothing fancy, but good, well made phở. For $ 10, I got a large bowl of steaming, delicious broth, and a lot of meat. Even with my congestion, I could taste the various spices that they used, and it wasn’t too sweet either. I definitely felt better when I left.

I come here because I work close by. If I had another choice I would not come here. The sizing is definitely on the smaller side. If you order a large it’s pretty much a small at any other phở place… they also don’t give you much meat… for the price you’re paying. They don’t really come by after they take your order and give you food. Never ask for a water refill or if you have your tea kettle up indicating that you want a refill they just walk right by. Pretty annoying. Been searching for another Vietnamese/phở place around the area, open to suggestions!

Normal phở place in the Tri-Valley area. Hard to say since I usually frequent South Bay areas to take care of my phở cravings. It was a LONG journey home from the SFO airport and we were returning from a three-destination(meaning four-flight trip) vacation from across the country… We hadn’t had a legitimate taste of Bay Area flavors since leaving and after only eating Puerto Rican/Caribbean/American food for the last three weeks, we just needed some phở. Yes, hot Vietnamese broth with rice noodles, yes. Fried Vegetarian Egg Rolls($ 5.95) — Comes with 4 egg rolls. Crisply fried. Great appetizer for those who need something else to pair with phở. Rare Steak and Well-Done Flank Phở($ 7.55) — Large beef-only phở. Combo with Shrimp, Squid, Fish Cake, Fish Ball, Pork, Chicken with Rice Noodle Phở($ 7.55) — All the best seafood offered. Phở is just good for the soul during those pick-me-up days. The phở we got here hit the spot. Only reason for minus one star is for the general noise level of the place. It can get pretty loud in the restaurant. No reservations but even if you had to wait, you don’t have to wait for long since service is quick and efficient.

Hello, 2016. I’m sad that I have to open the year with such a depressing experience. I’ve been here once previously and I had fond thoughts about how decent it was. I returned today and my mind is blown at how I ever thought nice things about the food. The picture I posted is from my first experience. Unfortunately, today’s Phở Dac Biet bowl was not as pretty, but let me describe it to you on this cold rainy day. Clear hot broth, sparse pieces of raggedly looking meat, no onions for garnish, in the world’s tiniest bowl that they charge you nearly $ 10 for. The good news is that they bring the food out almost immediately– less than 5 minutes of waiting after ordering. As previously noted, it’s super hot which is a nice consolation prize when you realize that they just fisted you during your lunch break. How was the taste? I don’t know, there wasn’t enough food in the bowl to give me a lasting impression. I ate it as quickly as I got it. I could have easily eaten 2 bowls. I found myself drinking the broth which I put plenty of Hoisin sauce in for substance. I recall this place serving larger portions than the one I received today. It is apparent on the menu that the prices have all gone up as you can see the white out blocking out the old prices. I understand inflation and the rising cost of overhead, but don’t piss on my leg and tell me it’s rain. Increase your prices? Fine. Maintain quality? PLEASE. What’s the point of charging more and giving me less? I didn’t ask for more, I asked for the same. If you don’t have a big appetite come here. If you want your food quickly, come here. If you think all phở taste the same, come here. If you want a lot of options, come here. If you love dropping $ 10 for a bowl of phở when you can get a delicious Chipotle burrito or a tasty combo meal from Carl’s Jr. for less, please come here. Indian buffets are like $ 12 and better than this prank. I’m on to you, Vietnamese people. No thanks. Ho Chi Minh would not be proud.

This is my favorite local restaurant to go to when I’m in the mood for a large bowl of Phở. This place has been in Dublin for a long time now, and their prices have risen quite a bit over the years. As of 2015; their special combo bowl of phở with beef balls, rare steak, tendon, tripe with well-done brisket & flank will cost over $ 10 after tax. As for the quality & quantity of their bowl of Phở, they’re still very good. They also accept credit cards, whereas a lot of other Vietnamese restaurants do not. There’s plenty of seating and the turnaround is fast. Once you order, you’ll get your food within minutes. Parking is also very easy, as there are numerous spaces in the parking lot.

After shopping during Black Friday for a few hours, we decided to take a break. There were multiple phở places around, but we just decided to stop here. Just looking at the menu, the food was already overpriced. We order two soup dishes and two vermicelli dishes. The soup dishes came out 10 minutes earlier than the vermicelli. I felt bad so I told them they can eat their meal before mine. The medium bowl looked so small compared to other phở places. I was so tiny! The large looked like a normal small bowl. I was hoping that even though food was pricier that they would at least compensate with the amount, but they didn’t. I ordered the GRILLEDPORKWITHEGGROLLSVERMICELLI. I could spell the grill meat from the back before my meal came out. It smelled so good! But when my meal came, the meat looked dry and old. It was very tough and dry when I ate it. The egg rolls were good and the amount of food they gave wasn’t bad. Unfortunately, I probably wouldn’t come back here again. I would want to try a different Vietnamese restaurant.

Probably the best phở in town but that’s simply b/c there just isn’t much option in the Dublin/San Ramon area. I had their beef stew phở(my favorite). Their meat was very tender and the broth was good. Overall a little too salty for me. But if you grave phở, Saigon is probably the best they have here. Else drive to Oaktown or the South Bay.

This place is average. I only come here because I work nearby. They are pretty quick, and can get pretty busy at lunch. It’s not the best but also not the worst. The vermicelli is pretty good as well– grilled pork and egg rolls! Good for getting in a quick lunch.

I really really wanted to like this place but it was AVERAGE at best. Maybe it’s because we came here to celebrate my Co workers’ promotion and everyone was in such a good mood. This place is no different than your typical Vietnamese restaurant. It is more on the dirty and sticky side. One thing I do want to compliment them is the speed of their service. It didn’t take longer than 15 minutes for all our orders to arrive and we had a big party. I ordered their pork chop rice plate while my Co workers ordered different varieties of phở. Nothing stood out particularly. The best way I can describe it is it did a good job filling up our hungry stomach. Prices are a bit more expensive than I thought. Overall, an alright place to grab a quick meal if you are around the area.

We came and tried this restaurant given that our two toddlers love Phở. We started with our usual spring rolls, since the kids love to eat crispy fried spring rolls. We also ordered the Chicken wings, which were categorized as appetizer, but comes in an entrée-sized portion. The wings were a hit with the kids. The skin were very crispy, but the meat was a bit dry and bland. It went very well with their chili sauce. The spring roll were ok. The Phở was great. It was full of meat and noodles. Although slightly smaller portion than what we’re used to for large servings. The soup base did not disappoint. Our 2yr old devoured his share of the Phở and kept asking for more soup. The porkchop was tender and tasty. The shredded pork was a good addition, but not impressive. The crab cake was tasty. It was something new for us. Our 4yr old loved it with the white rice. This place is a good restaurant considering the price, good service, and taste of the food. I wouldn’t consider it exceptional, but it’s a reliable place that you can go to for your Vietnamese Phở fix.

I wasn’t thrilled with my dinner at Phở Saigon, and it wasn’t a great way to introduce my mother to Vietnamese food. She looked to me to order for her and while the food was ok, I have definitely had better elsewhere. We had the fresh spring rolls with shrimp, pork and veggies. The rolls were quite dry, and the pork included was barely visible, much less tasteable. I did like all the mint in it though, but I think they’d been sitting out for a while. I got the Vermicelli bowl with grilled pork and eggroll(#37). Definitely not up to my local mom & pop shop’s version, though the ingredients were the same. Too many noodles, next to no lettuce, a few bean sprouts and a few thin curls of cucumber. The pork was okay, but hard to eat because of the large slices. The pickled carrots and daikon were barely pickled. Maybe they weren’t. The fish sauce on the side was flavorless. Meh. I would not go back. Service was very quick, I will give them that, and it isn’t super pricey. But I don’t like the bug zappers all around the restaurant(there was one by my mom’s feet) and there were still a bunch of flies. Maybe the phở is better?

When I’m in the CV/Pleasanton area this is my go to spot for Vietnamese food and personally my favorite one in the east bay other than phở Pasteur. This place is always really clean and the service is great. The people are really nice and accommodating. They make sure your meal is going well and they refill your drinks. I order to-go from here a lot and I always get my order in 5 or so minutes. They’re really quick to give their food out. I always really like how they accept credit/debit card. They have a minimum but only a minimum before they charge for using a card. I usually get their rare steak phở and Vietnamese egg rolls. Both of which are really good. The soups usually way hot hit that’s okay b/c it allows my steak and noodles to cook all the way. Their Thai tea is really good here as well.
