I stayed here because this place was the most accessible towards my work area in this town. I wouldn’t know much about their pricing, because my contracting company were the ones who did the booking. Even though the room’s interior, including the bed sheets looked worn down, but room service was always there. The peeps at the front desk were great, at least most. Specious parking on single side, and decent continental breakfast.

Pretty much a shitty experience. The room was cheap, I will give them that. As far as my stay went: breakfast was cold every morning and the coffee had so many grounds brewed in you needed a screen to drink it. The remote to my tv didn’t work half the time and of the 2 channel list they provided, neither were right. The coffee pot in my room didn’t work right and the wall ac unit had a broken thermostat that wouldn’t move from 72. The company i am with had several rooms for the night, and rather than run them as a single transaction, they insisted we process them individually which lead to fraud protection being alerted on my account for multiple duplicate transactions. I guess you get what you pay for. I would not recommended staying here unless you need a cheap stay for a single night.

On a recent weekend trip to Dubuque to visit the dog track and continue on to a Iowa Cubs game in Des Moines, we stayed at the Super 8. Although we were a little leery because we booked at a rate of $ 60/night(and when you pay that little, it can’t be very nice, right?), we were looking for an affordable option. I was pleasantly surprised that the room was clean, roomy and didn’t smell of any smoke. It wasn’t a four-star hotel, but the bed was comfortable enough and the hotel definitely met our needs and provided us with an affordable option!

Friendly front desk clerk. Super clean room. Continental breakfast was a bit lacking, but aren’t they all?

Stayed one night at Super 8. The hotel was clean and well kept. For the price it was a good night’s sleep. Breakfast was simple and good especially for included in the night’s stay. Room was a queen with a Lazy Boy recliner. There is a restaurant next door which filled up the hotel parking lot at night, making it challenging to park close to the hotel returning from dinner. Towels in the room could use an upgrade as they were quite thin. Overall I’d recommend as an economy stay when one is only there to sleep.

Went here on vacation to visit Iowa. After looking at reviews on this seems like a great choice for the price. The reviews were terribly wrong and it makes me question if the hotel itself made the reviews. We had booked two nights and ended up checking out after the first. Our room faced the mexican place next door and on the basement style level. Somewhere near 1 am a maintence car pulled up right outside our window and started to create a racket. Around the same time people in the hall became very loud and ridiculous, the two combined to make sleeping impossible. Usually sleeping is nice when on vacation. Showering that next morning around 930am with the door locked and latched with the«DONOTDISTURB» sign hanging on the handle someone knocked on the door. Then the person decided to unlock the door and attempt to open it anyway!!! Really, why have a DND sign if even the hotel staff will ignore it knowing we hadn’t checked out and still had another night on our stay. Someone tried to get into my room even though all of the obvious signs were there. They easily could’ve walked in on me in the shower or doing who knows what else. That was the last straw. The hotel itself essentially said there is nothing they could do about it and couldn’t refund the other night but I didn’t care because I was not going to stay there again.
