I ordered the chef specialty, sesame chicken. It tasted burned, no flavor and it was so overcooked and dry and crusty I could not even eat one piece of it for fear I would break a tooth for cripes sake. I also ordered bee egg foo young which was good, but could have used a lot more bean sprouts in it but the flavor was there.

I went in here with an open mind hoping for a quick lunch. I had the chicken and broccoli lunch special. People are right. The portions are large. BUT. I just couldn’t finish my lunch. Chicken was over cooked and broccoli was raw. The sauce was clumpy, pasty and tasted like it came from a jar. Egg roll was ugh well sub-par as well. I would not recommend this place.

I went there with my family this last weekend. There were 9 of us and barely 2 of us could eat any of the food on the plate. A couple of us actually got sick from it. I would not even suggest that my worst enemy go here to eat. I would have sent my food back, but I didn’t want to embarrass myself or my family.

All I can say is YUCK!!! Dirty place And if you want a good colon cleansing go here! If you feel like vomiting go here! The health inspector needs to be called to this shit hole! Other Chinese resteraunts in the area are much better then going to the Chinese dragon unless you want to get the shits and puke! I would not go back here even if it was free. Please go somewhere else!

Best overall that delivers to Hillside and Park Point. Wonton soup and Cantonese pan-fried noodles are my go-to. Fried rice puts Chopstix to shame. Portions are well priced and consistent. That dirty lil’ Beijing can’t ever be replaced apparently, but the Dragon keeps me happy.

Better than some in Duluth, but still not high quality. They will satisfy the Chinese food urge, nothing more.

I would have to say this is average at best. The service was great, food was hot, and my lunch was very affordable. The previous reviews were right on in terms of the portions. Plenty of food. On one hand nothing«wowed» me, but on the other, it wasn’t bad either. I’m struggling to find really good Asian food in the Duluth area.

The good: This place serves very good Chinese food. The food was tasty, the service prompt, and portion size was reasonable. The bad: The place is a dump. It’s shabby looking inside and out. The carpeting is so filthy that it can never be cleaned. If I had to visit this part of downtown Duluth I’d go back but I would not make a special trip.

Not sure how to write this review. I’m from the NJ/NY area and this place would not survive six months in this territory. But… being that it’s in Duluth, and there doesn’t seem to be any good Chinese food in this town, I guess this is as good as it gets. I wasn’t digging the dirty feeling, the dirty wood paneling with deer and the«this place hasn’t changed in 30 years» atmosphere. The food was OK, about a 2 on a scale of 5. The atmosphere would be a 1 on a scale of 5. Wait staff would be 3 out of 5. Perceived cleanliness would be 1 out of 5. Value would be 4 out of 5. Total score = In NJ/NY 1 out of 5. In Duluth 2.5 out of 5.

Sure it’s a hole in the wall, but there are loads of cheap lunch and dinner meals, it’s family run, and it’s fresh-made and tasty Chinese food. Alter trying other options in the area I’m convinced this is almost as good as it gets for authentic Asian cuisine in Duluth. Lunch specials are endless and portions are enough for two meals. They deliver and offer carryout so it’s perfect for a quick meal. The egg drop soup is amazing and so are their egg rolls. You specify the spiciness when you order, and lunch specials come with either fried rice or white rice and an egg roll. Service is extremely friendly and you could probably come here once a week for a year and still not try everything on their menu. Not the prettiest place to dine, but come for the food, not the atmosphere. Note that they are closed all day on Sunday but they open at 10am during the week. They do deliver within the area and the portions are very large.

Very dirty place in customer area, in bathrooms, in hall between the two, and from what we could see — also in the kitchen. Duluth restaurant inspector must be «out to lunch»

I was pleasantly surprised to find really decent Cantonese food in Duluth of all places. Far better than any in Phoenix and almost on par with Chicago. Almost because the fried rice and egg roll were only fair. The Chicken Almond Ding was exceptional. White Meat Chicken in a good sauce with crunchy vegetables. All for on $ 6 at lunch. I would definitely go there again.

Best won ton soup ever! When I lived up here I always ate here. Sad to see the city has gone downhill so badly via Google Maps but this is a decent family run place with a very clean kitchen. I always remember how clean the bathroom was. The inside is so wonderfully decorated I love the wooden carved Dragons. I miss you Chinese Dragon!!! Miss your General D’s! Chicken wow very authentic place. One of the two places I have liked since my childhood in Chicago. Great lunch specials and dinner is fantastic you cannot go wrong on the menu!

Chinese Dragon is the kinda place where you walk in thinking«do I really want to eat here?» But trust me, you do. Growing up in Duluth one of my favorite places to eat was the Chinese Lantern. When that burned down, Chinese Garden became the place my family enjoyed. Until we tried Chinese Dragon. My favorite food in the whole entire world is chicken wings with oyster sauce and this place does them well. It must be a Duluth thing as I’ve never seen this on a menu outside of the twin ports. Other than the best chicken wings ever, the menu is pretty standard and they have really cheap lunch specials. They will also make your food without MSG if you ask. And beware, the hot mustard in the jar on the table is REALLY hot. I haven’t lived in Duluth for many years but whenever I go home to visit I make sure I find time to down some wings. Don’t let the wood paneling with deer pictures scare you, this place is great.

Don’t let the outside fool you, this is one of the only decent Chinese places in Duluth, and there aren’t many. I would recommend this to someone who wants a nice lunch with plenty of food. I usually order one of their lunch specials for take out. The food is very hot and fresh when I go to pick it up and it tastes pretty good to.
