Not bad for AYCE beef brisket for $ 12.99/person. The only downside may be that you will have to cook your own meat but what can you expect for a price that low? If you want to just eat beef brisket this is a good place.

This is my first time eating here because I want to try different Korean bbq style. They use stone glass for grilling which is cool. It doesn’t change the taste of the meat. This place is pretty cheap too compared to other Korean bbq places in the area, it’s $ 13.99 for all u can eat brisket and pork belly. The servers don’t really speak english, but they are pretty nice. I will probably come back when I feel like eating cheap Korean bbq

Ayce bbq but the service is absolute crap. I used to come here back in high school but my last visit was just horrible. When i go to a restaurant, I plan to eat. NOT wait for 10mins for my next order of meat. It got to the point I had yelled that«we are hungry could you feed us!» did we finally got some kind of service.

This place is also Korean AYCE bbq. I haven’t been here in a while. Came only twice and did not want to come again. I don’t think this place is worth it out of all the AYCE bbq places around town. The quality of the meat is not that great and the service is not that great either. Anytime we asked for more side dishes the ladies that work there always had an attitude. If you are looking for a place for cheap AYCE, it is $ 12.99, but i’m sure they’ve raised their prices since two years ago.

Definitely a quantity over quality Korean BBQ place. At $ 13.99 for unlimited beef brisket and samgyeopsal(pork belly), it’s one of the cheapest places around. Unfortunately, the samgyeopsal is very tough, so if you’re going for the $ 13.99, you had best want to eat mostly beef. However, if you are looking to just go eat beef, you’re in luck. Aside from that, you do get a number of side dishes, including a salad, soybean soup, kimchi, and a variety of others depending on the day and what they have. The worst part, however, is the service. I’ve noticed a stark difference between going there with Koreans and non-Koreans — if you aren’t Korean and aren’t going with a Korean friend, don’t expect good service. You’ll have to flag someone down every time you want a new plate of meat, more side dishes, or even more water. Overall, it’s cheap and good for the beef if you don’t care about the pork or good/consistent service. As a side note, I tend to be a good/fair tipper(I generally go for 20% unless something was really terrible), and this place is one that I will go lower. When I went with a friend, I’m not sure how much she tipped, by the lady called her out and asked for more of a tip, which I would understand had we actually been waited on. So, there is that.

I’ve been here twice now and i’ve had the same bad service experience twice! The food was decent, i have been to other kbbq places and this place tasted pretty much like the other places. THESERVICEHOWEVERISFRICKINGAWFUL. There are two ladies work here. One of them is sorta nice. The other one is a total B****. Sadly to say, we got the crappy server. Throughout the whole time here, we never got a water refill, infact, she took away our water jug and never came back. Anyways… Water isnt THAT big of a deal right? I mean we all go for the ayce kbbq right? 45 minutes into the meal SHESTOPPEDCOMINGOVERCOMPETELY. Theres a bell on the table you can ring, and the rare times we did press it, she erased the number off and pretend like she didnt see it. WHATTHEHECK. Its not like we were being rude either; I could possibly understand why she wouldnt serve us if were being loud and obnoxious. Towards the end of the meal, I had to move to another table my friends were sitting at to eat. Yeah… They stopped getting food too. At the end, we decided just to tip 2 dollars for the crappy service. I guess she didnt like that idea because SHETOLDUSTOTIPMORE. I shoulda given a «Tip» on how to serve people better. Guys the moral of the story is DONTCOMEHEREIFYOULIKETOPIGOUT. They stop serving you for eating too much! Iron Age and Star SOMUCHBETTER!!!

Let’s get to the point. This place is quantity over quality. Major selling point is the AYCE bbq for $ 12.99. Sides weren’t too bad. We enjoyed the kimchi and bean sprouts. Fish cakes were pretty good, but I’ve had better. The complimentary soybean soup was yummy and probably the best part. The meat is jut basic beef briskets and pork belly, probably bought in bulk from hmart or something… Service was okay. We had to ask for rice and additional meat. Never was offered a water refill either. We even had to leave our booth just to ask the waitress to clean our grill. Would I go back? Probably not.

The main selling point is that it’s $ 10AYCE barbecue. That being said, don’t expect anything here to blow you away. The chadol and samgyupsal are frozen, and heavily frozen at that. Taking the samgyupsal off the plate reminded me of a slab of wood. Unless you bring a Korean buddy here or bullshit your way into making them believe you’re korean, don’t expect service. Seriously, you won’t get anyone coming to your booth. Even when you have someone come over, they will usually be extremely rude. The only time I would ever come back here is if I needed to line my stomach before hitting bars or after drinking a lot. Otherwise, I would fork up the extra cash and go to one of the other places in Atlanta.

This is one of the cheapest places to get AYCE Korean BBQ(beef brisket and pork belly). However, if you go here, I suggest you bring someone who can speak Korean or read Korean. Most of the staff cannot speak English well, and all the menus are in Korean. Like with other BBQs, you get what you pay for. So for this price, the meat quality is not the best, but like i said– it’s cheaper than the other places. The service here is pretty slow, and they start bringing you smaller plates of meat, the more you ask. I’ve also had the AYCE hot pot here, and there are only certain vegetables that are actually AYCE(they do not refill the enoki mushrooms), and you only get the beef brisket.

This might be the worst Korean BBQ I’ve been to(also the cheapest). I certainly would be willing to pay extra for a better experience after having eaten here. The menus weren’t specific enough and had little English and it was hard to talk with the staff because they didn’t speak English well. Of course, we wanted one of the«all you can eat» options, but it was difficult to figure out exactly what we were getting. After much dismay we ended up ordering the cheapest option. That got us two kinds of meat and various side dishes. The meat itself was not that good but what can you expect for that price. If it weren’t for our other problems I would probably be okay with the price and food though. There were a six of us so we wanted to cook the meat quickly and then get started on the next batch but the waitress was slow. I didn’t think that was a big concern but eventually the she seemed as though we weren’t actually going to get«all you can eat.» It was difficult to discern if she really meant it. Eventually, when I wanted to order one final plate the other waitress said in a joking way that we couldn’t have anymore meat. I thought she was kidding but it turns out she wasn’t. It wasn’t an experience that makes me want to go back.

Service little slow and little unfriendly… We asked another bowl of ban chan for first time. They told we eat too much, and that is last refill we can get. It was only second bowl!!! I thought ban chan was included in the price?!

My coworker took there while I was in business trip in GA. I believe it was Monday special: $ 11.99 per person all you can eat hot pot. Three of us had 8 plates of beef and get the vegetable items refill twice. Not bad. Don’t’ suggest drink the broth after you cook too much meat. The dressing is a little bit spicy and, in fact, i think the meat tasted better without dipping dressing. The server will not come to check on you often, so you have try to catch them when you need service. They only serve Beef for hot pot, so too all the beef lover, this is a good place to visit while you are in town.

I love all you can eat. I especially like all you can eat Korean pork belly!!! If Iron Age is a little bit too steep for your pockets, Gobawoo is a good alternative because it’s only $ 9.99 and less crowded. You get all the pork belly you want to eat BUT it has no frills. No variety of sauces only sesame oil and salt. No variety of marinades to choose from. Can’t get thinly sliced beef. Meat is cooked on a marble slab instead of a grill. BUT it’s AYCE. If my pockets are hurting and I need something cheap. I would come here. But if that’s not an issue. Iron Age it is!!!

AYCE Korean BBQAH. pandemonium. Although the English name is prominent on the shopping center entrance, the actual restaurant’s sign is written in Korean. The place is quite small compared to Star Daepo, another $ 10 ayce. There were also only 2 servers at the time we arrived. We waited for 15 minutes before another table was cleared for us. There are actually no ventilation there, so bank on DEFINITELY smelling like Korean bbq. They also use portable gas grills. Gobawoo allows for intimate dinner, with curtains at the booths. However, they do not have bells to ring for service like most other Korean restaurants. They do have hooks for jackets and purses, which I appreciate though. EVERYTHING is written in Korean, so do yourself a favor and learn Korean before you come here, or bring someone who’s already fluent in Korean. If the person is actually Korean, you get get bonus points. Although Gobawoo serves other foods, we came here for the $ 10 ayce beef brisket deal. They offered soup, banchan, bean-based sauce, and salad with the meat. The quality is so-so, but that’s ok, I’m here to stuff my face with Korean bbq. Mission accomplished. I like it when Korean restaurants offer drinks infused with barley. So, good job Gobawoo. At the end of the day, it’s a decent, cheap option if you happen to be nearby. However, there are other better 10 $ ayce options.

Thanks to Unilocal,I found Gobawoo and it’s awesome. Why? Because they serve all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ beef brisket and samgyeopsal(pork belly) for $ 9.99. What a great deal. Not only that, but this place is open late — until 2am every night. I believe they also offer AYCE Korean sukiyaki(hot pot) for $ 12.95 per person. It helps to know Korean or bring along someone who does as this restaurant caters to the Korean community. About the only thing written in English is the storefront sign. The menus are written in Korean and the servers speak poor English. Gobawoo is located in a small strip mall just south of the Satellite Blvd-Duluth Hwy. intersection. It’s nearby the Waffle House. Its location makes it a perfect late-night Korean BBQ dinner spot after a sporting event or music concert at Gwinnett Center, which is just a few minutes away. At $ 9.99 for unlimited beef brisket and pork belly, don’t expect anything grandiose. Gobawoo is a smoky dive. Inside, the restaurant looks like it’s falling apart, from the moldy ceilings to the cracked plastic glasses. It’s okay, though, as long as you know what you’re coming here for: all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ. The restaurant has a variety of semi-private booths(with curtains), an semi-enclosed outdoor patio with several tables with built-in grills, and a private room that can hold about eight people comfortably. The banchan(Korean side dish) offerings are meager, but that is expected. By «meager,» I mean the selection — you can re-order as much banchan as you want, as it’s included with the meal. The banchan consists of kimchi, daikon, pickled jalapenos, pickled radish, and other veggies. They also serve a couple soups/stews, such as the Korean fermented soybean paste soup with tofu and the steamed egg custard soup. The banchan is low level quality, but it is nice that they serve the soups too. The skillets at Gobawoo are made of glass. This is the first Korean restaurant in Georgia I’ve been to that uses glass skillets. The raw beef brisket comes out on Rubbermaid tops. Just turn the tops over and slap the slices of beef onto the skillet. The slices of beef are thin so they cook fast. While it’s not the greatest quality meat, I thoroughly enjoy stuffing myself with the brisket here. It’s quite satisfying for what it is. Maybe a little fatty. Speaking of fatty, the pork belly is super fatty. The pork belly is served on a plate with a giant pair of scissors so you can get the pieces of pork before placing them on the skillet(recommended). If you can help it, don’t sit directly in front of the skillet, as oil and grease can pop and hit you while you eat. I once left my camera sitting next to one of the skillets and when I picked it up, it was covered in grease. Like most other cook-it-yourself Korean restaurants, the skillets are angled so the grease flows down into a metal container. The meats are accompanied with salad, raw garlic, and a special dipping sauce. All are great for eating with the meat. You can cook the raw garlic with the meats on the skillet of course. I love the salad. While some people have commented negatively on the service here, I beg to differ. I think the service is pretty good. You may have to ask for certain things like bowls of white rice and water, but the ladies are pretty good at keeping the flames going, meat coming, and drinks flowing. Note on the water: it does have a tinge of barley tea in it, so don’t be alarmed. Also, the restaurant has no problem with separating checks for big groups. That’s always a plus. In the end, Gobawoo is great as long as you know what you’re getting: inexpensive all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ in a divey atmosphere.

Today was an amazing day in history. This afternoon(8÷10÷12) in the 2012 London Olympics, South Korea beat Japan 2 – 0 for the bronze title. I watched it with my parents at home, I had vowed to study in my room, but I kept running out to catch the game, and 20 minutes in I just gave in and watched. We laughed, clapped, shouted, our hearts raced, and shed tears of joy, and repeat. whew, so much drama. I had planned on having my first experience in shabu shabu(I grew up in a vegetarian household), so and we wound up here to pop my shabu cherry. Its a little further from P. hill than I’d originally thought, closer to Hwy 120 in a small plaza after going up Satellite a few minutes. Still on the soccer win high, we strolled in and they gave us a booth. Our waitress came in and brought some waters(cold barley tea), and took our order. We got complimentary soju because Korea won! Wow! Icing on the cake man. I was already feeling so proud to be Korean, I was bursting at the seams! There are probably around 8 tables, but there’s also a little patio that is has plastic wall covers so they can accommodate more people. It was a little smoky from the meat, but not as bad as the places that are only meat grilling. Our booth had a little curtain, so it was really private, even though we were sitting RIGHT next to the door. Private is nice, but that also means less people watching. Depends on what you want. Our ladies were great, they checked on us frequently. We rang the bell a few times for more water and they were very prompt. Actually, as soon as you ring it they say«Yea!!» so you know they are on the way. Unlimited meats, and we started out with 2 trays of the frozen beef. vegetables/sides consisted of: bok choy, spinach, napa cabbage, fish cake, enoki mushroom, regular mushroom, slices of king oyster mushroom, broccoli, and a piece of corn. Oh also slices of sausage. Our other side dishes: kimchi, a type of cole slaw. steamed cabbage, carrot, and pepper with dwen jang(bean pepper sauce). 2 sauces– hot and mild. The hot is pretty hot. the mild kinda tastes like mi soo gah loo. It was pretty good and the two of us got pretty full from 3 platters of meat. I’m sure we could have handled a 4th, but that would’ve gotten to a «I“m so full I can throw up», and that is just uncomfortable. PLUS, they have sign written on the wall in Korean that says, please only order the amount of meat you can eat, if you waste food we will charge you.(I paraphrased the last part). I find this really funny but so true, and expected of tongue in cheek Koreans. Also there is an ad for fruit flavored Makgulli O. o interesting. It was around $ 13 for AYCE shabu shabu, which is not bad for AYCE, but honestly its stuff you can cook at home. I think its really about the atmosphere, I think it would be really fun with 4 – 6 of your good friends. Also I think they are open til 2 am on at least the weekends(don’t know about the week) so that is a plus. BOTTOMLINE. I had a good time and enjoyed my food. Do I think it is the best I will ever have or the best out there? I have no idea, probably not. Honestly, Its probably a 3.5 or 4, but extra extra stars for being there on this momentous day and offering libations and making me tipsy, proud, and happy.

My dog LOVED me when I got home from this place covered in the smell of cooked meat. The 9.99 $ all you can eat deal is pretty sweet. There are of course all the pan chan(don’t be shy about asking for more), and the VERY thinly sliced beef and pork belly. The meat is not the best quality, but you’re here for quantity, not quality. You will walk away full and satisfied. Bring someone who speaks korean for better service, most of the servers did not speak English very well, and the one korean person in our party got things done. You have to ask for rice(it’s free but they won’t just bring it out). And you will need to request iced water or other drinks(sometimes more than once before they actually bring it).

I’ve never tried shabu, only chinese hot pot. This place offers quasi-ayce shabu for $ 13. Unlike the other reviewers comment, shabu does not include grilled meats. Just the normal korean sides, big pot of broth, unlimited thinly sliced beef, and big platter of veggies(3 kinds of mushrooms, fishcake, various greens). It came with a mild and spicy creamy looking sauces which were different but tasty. The ayce doesnt apply to the mushrooms or fishcake. Even though the waitresses barely speak english, we were able to get through the meal. They serve free tea and rice upon request. I wanted more seafood but overall it was a good meal for the price. tidbits: gets quite smoky from grills, very drafty in front booths so it can get cold, there is patio, there is no hostess and I had to walk back to find someone — I guess you are supposed to walk to center of restaurant to get seated. Next time we’ll try the $ 10 ayce pork belly and beef. I wish I could understand menu to see if there were seafood style shabu options.

Definitely don’t come here if you are expecting something like Honey Pig or Iron Age. Also, I would recommend bringing a friend if he/she speaks Korean — its relatively hard to communicate here otherwise. The service here is… meh. It’s good for the price — you get what you pay for. Strips of fatty pork belly and probably grade B slices of beef. But at $ 10AYCE, what do you expect? The side dishes are okay, not the best. Doesn’t come with the rice noodle sheet things, but it does come with the slices of radish. Their salad is pretty good. The pork belly has different flavors(lemon pepper, garlic, etc), but for some reason I can never come on a day when they actually have it marinated. Shucks. I’d come here if you’re with a group of 10 or something and nobody wants to pay $ 20something dollars for a dinner. BTW — wear something you don’t really mind smelling like smoke and meat after.
