Have never spent more than $ 15 for a haircut and at 60 y.o. decided to take a chance with a high-end professional. Absolutely love the results and Tezu was top notch. Brand new hair style I hope will be my standard look for years to come. Felt compelled to only give it four stars because — when I first walked in I asked to use the restroom. I walked through the beautiful salon and — UGH! — yellow dribbles on the toilet seat and leading to the floor. Having raised three sons, I am very familiar with that scene. Sure enough, when I walked out there were several children playing on their i-pads in their ‘break room’. Lucky me — pay $ 65 for a haircut and have to clean the toilet too.

6309 roswell rd, sandy springs, GA30328 is the address I went to and my stylist was Brittney ! She was amazing and I love my hair so much. I had a horrible ombré experience and for the first time in 6 months I really like my hair. Definitely going to be my permanent stylist from now on !

I have been coming to Aveda for a couple of years getting highlights every 4 to 5 weeks when it was suggested that I try bleaching my roots since I had to come so often and it would be less expensive and that we could go back to just highlights anytime but no mention of how this could damage my hair, well in so doing my hair was totally over processed and began breaking all over I wished that my stylist had told me you know your hair is breaking maybe we need to stop what we are doing. I had to go somewhere else and have an olaplex hair treatment done to try and save what was left. I have since brought my hair color back to it’s original shade and bought a hair piece.

I had highlights done with Tezu and she FRIED my hair. My roots are brassy red and the rest of my hair is gray colored. I paid over $ 200 for the worst highlights in my life.

After more than 6 months of not having any maintenance done to my hair, I figured it was time to cover up the copious amounts of greys that I had sprinkled throughout my super dark hair. And I needed a haircut. I wanted everything to be taken care of before my trip to Miami and had appointments for the color and cut at another salon. Then a day before I was supposed to go in to get both things done, the place called and said that the person who would cut my hair called out sick. My plan was foiled. I kept my color appointment but frantically called nearby salons to see if I could get both done. Joseph & Friends took me for the very same day, which was a Saturday morning. I actually hadn’t expected being able to get in so quickly. I arrived just on time(which is a huge accomplishment, since I am habitually late). I came up to the front desk and asked for Trenton, who I was told on the phone earlier would take care of me. As soon as I said the name, a friendly man greeted me, in addition to the young lady at the computer. I figured it was him and indeed, I was right. Trenton asked me what I wanted and I told him that I was completely low maintenance but had no preference about how my hair should be cut. Just that it had to lay in a way that would require zero maintenance. Seriously, people, I just wash my hair and go. He asked how much I wanted chopped off and we mutually agreed on 4 inches. Then came the color part. I didn’t know about this either… He came out with some hair swatch thingy and we came to a decision together. He colored my hair and took another client as the dye was doing its job. I think he left me a bit longer than he said he would, but when he was done, he took me back to wash my hair. OMG… What a marvelous experience. He had to shampoo my hair twice and he massaged my scalp in such a way that I wanted it to continue indefinitely. But alas, that did not happen. The only thing that was slightly uncomfortable was the temperature of the water, which was a bit too hot. He cut my hair after washing it and styled it. He was funny and kind without being pushy. I am not sure if I will go back, as I have no hair stylist loyalty, but I wouldn’t be against the idea.

Here is my follow up for this salon. I went back to see if they could fix my hair. They made a big deal about how they were going to give me one of their educators. I am sorry but this girl didn’t do much better than the first person I had. The color is dark and brassy. The cut… not much better than what the first girl did. I just don’t know what to say. Granted… this trip to the salon was no charge for what they did to my hair but I did pay $ 15.00 to have my eye brows dyed. I will not be going back because if this is the best they can do when you walk in with a picture and also show them on the computer then I just don’t feel good about giving them my hard earned money. Needless to say I am now in the hunt for a new salon.

I love Love LOVE Nicole at the Johns Creek location!!! The woman is a GENIUS. No hyperbole. I am very picky about who touches my hair — it is fine, but I have a lot of it, and it air dries as straight as if you had flat ironed it. Because of the texture of my hair, even a master stylist can butcher it if he or she doesn’t understand how my hair will behave(when I say it has NOWAVEATALL I mean it – tried to perm it once in 6th grade and my hair didn’t take the curl). I have to have layers in my hair to give it some movement, because if not, it stays plastered to my scalp. However, if the layers aren’t cut JUSTRIGHT, and blended perfectly, the result looks like I got my hair caught in the fan of my hairdryer and had to hack it out(and for the love of GAWD, don’t even THINK about trying to texturize it). Needless to say, I’m not the easiest head to cut. Once I find someone who gets it, I am a loyal customer for sure. Nicole gets it. When I first went to her, I had a stacked bob — a precision cut that needs a steady hand to get the initial line perfectly cut in – and that cut happens to be one of Nicole’s signature cuts. After having the first trim from her, I saw why! Since then, I’ve been growing my hair out, and Nicole has without fail given me cuts that not only make my hair look thicker and longer, but that keep their shape for months. One of the things I respect the most about her is that she’s not going to just tell you what you want to hear or give you the cut you ask for — if she knows your hair won’t cooperate, or the cut won’t flatter you, she’ll let you know so you don’t end up with buyer’s remorse. Needless to say, I have complete trust in Nicole and her ability to make my best feature look its best! The salon overall is also great — always clean, good music playing, and an inviting atmosphere. I have recommended the salon in general and Nicole in particular to many friends and acquaintances and will continue to do so in the future!

Oh this is gonna get me some interesting compliments, especially from Stacy and associates. What the hey… For many years, I have been the colorist(colorizer?) of my beautiful wife’s hair. Two weeks ago, my efforts produced a multicolor disaster. She tried to make the best of it, but today I asked her to get in the car for a surprise. My «surprises» usually involve dining out or going to a movie, so she was curious when I drove into John’s Creek, and incredulous when I pulled up in front of Joseph and Friends. I escorted her inside where we met Sarah Glynn, the Academy Designer for J&F, who inspected the damage. Verdict? Hair has to be stripped, conditioned, then properly colored. She said it was probably a bad batch of boxed mix I used, trying to assuage my guilt, so I made a mental note to up the tip big time. Sarah did the prep work, and then handed my bride off to Faz Monfared, Style Director, who masterfully applied the finishing touches. During the 3 hour process, I trundled my hinie three stores down to TJ Maxx and bought wife a Jones New York topcoat, a sweater, a D&G hoodie, and perfume. I came back, and wife was radiant in her newly, expertly colored ‘do. It only cost $ 145 to rebuild her tresses, and I am happy again. Mama happy = Daddy happy.
