This place is great! Definitely best Chinese BBQ in town. Cheaper than kochi maru and more delicious!

Sadly, I have to go back and change their ratings to two stars. They simply didn’t do our orders right. When we entered, there was smell of smoke inside, an obvious sign of not ventilating well. We 2 ordered to-go orders. We waited 15 minutes, until the waiter told us that everything was ready except the fried octopus. Then after 5 minutes, he told us that it was his mistake, and the order was ready 5 minutes ago. If the service is forgiven considering only one guy covering the whole restaurant, then the food is not. My ordered braised meat over rice was, covered with soy sauce, over salty and carelessly prepared. The rice quality was not so good too. My colleague also ordered kabobs. Well, he complained they put 50% fat in those kabobs. I recommended Kabobs House for a take-out, but really regretted it after I finished the lunch. I was hoping to find my high school days of the dish«braised meat over rice», But what I found was high school chef doing the job. And unfortunately, he hasn’t graduated yet.

We waited way too long for $ 9 worth of kabobs because we were also going to quickly next door for bubble tea. The guy there was the only one running around and taking orders and serving EVERYONE. I felt bad but hey, I’m the customer and I didn’t deserve to wait an hour and a half for that good. Probably not coming back for a while. Unless I’m craving it.

This place is the same owner as the quickly right next door… So I am assuming u can bring quickly in here(I havent done that yet lol, please try and let me know) I see some ppl complain about the services… I mean… There is only one server and he looks like he is 18 and he has to do everything… Come on guys… Give him a break~~ To me, it’s really hard to rate this place… I kinda like their kabab~ but not my wife… She doesn’t like fat and they do have some amount of fat on the kabab… But the fat is the flavor of the meat tho!!! Anyway… Do try their kabab stuff, they are pretty good! As for the dumplings or steam bond stuff like that… it’s alright. I didn’t like it… myself probably can do better than that… We also order the spicy pot stuff, they fried the beef instead of grill to save time… Which the meat is kinda dry, but the flavor is good, so I guess I will still order the spicy pot stuff but not beef. They also have some noodles but we haven’t got chance to try at this time. Over all it’s fair… I guess I will still go back when I am not so hungry or if I order some bobble tea from quickly… and just pick up some kabab~~

The kabobs here are delicious… But the experience I had with the service was not the best. I came in to order togo as I went next door to quicklys to order a couple of drinks. When I came back in the store to pick up my order, it wasn’t ready yet(I only ordered about 7 kabobs) so I sat down at a table and waited. I sat there and waited for 45 minutes(+the time I was in quicklys ordering) for my kabobs as I watched the waiter bring out everyone else’s food that came in after me(someone came in after me, ordered an entire plate of approx 20 kabobs and they got it BEFOREME!). I asked the waiter probably 5 times if my order was ready yet and every single time he would say 5 more minutes.10 more minutes… Etc. When I finally got my order I was furious and all the waiter said was«sorry…»…

Kabobs House Overall 3.5÷5(rounded up due to price and opens late 2am) Food: 3⁄5 Price: 4⁄5 Service: 3.5÷5 Atmosphere: 3⁄5 Overall: Small cheap kabobs. They offer a wide variety of meat/seafood and some traditional Chinese food(noodle soups, soups, fried rice, hotpot). Great hangout spot. Food: I only tried their Kabobs so I cant speak for anything else. Keep in mind a majority of these portions are about a 2 – 3 biter. Tried the Beef, Beef Tendon, Lamb, Lamb Tendon, Chicken Heart, Mushroom wrapped Pork Belly, and whole squid. The Beef and Lamb were juicy and flavorful. The beef and lamb tendon didnt taste too fresh and tasted the same. The chicken heart lacked seasoning and was overcooked as it became rubbery. Mushroom wrapped pork belly was my favorite and had perfect seasoning and cookery. The the whole squid tasted excellent but the seasoning used was the same for the mushroom wrapped porkbelly so it was a bit let down. Overall, its cheap and you can try a bunch of different meats. To improve, they need to have individual seasonings for each meat to really make things unique. Price: The kabobs are between 1 – 2 each. The more expensive ones are the seafood ones EG whole squid 4, whole fish 4 etc… The other Chinese food is about 7 – 9. Overall its very cheap. Service: The waiter was for attentive, friendly and professional. Always checked up on me asking if I needed anything else and refilling my water and rice. However, the food came out a bit slow. Waited 22 min for my first skewer. After the first one came out I only had to wait 5 mins between adding more items. Atmosphere: This place is a bit small. However, the seats are spread apart enough to have some privacy and the tables are huge. Additionally, the décor is a bit tacky with a weird cheap modern relaxed feel with asian culture.

Fantastic kabobs, just like what you’d get from street vendors in China. Definitely #1 spot in metro Atlanta. Lambs kabob($ 1) is amazing, fresh, juicy and full of flavor. Also recommend whole squid($ 4), mushroom wrapped in pork belly($ 2) and Chinese chive($ 3 – 4). You can also find cheap bottled beers for $ 3, like TsingTao beer that everyone drinks in China. Very nice environment and clean! Owner dude is nice and attentive. If you go to the bathroom you will pass by the kitchen and see all the goodness happening. Open until 2am, fantastic for late night cravings! Thumbs up!

This place is novel for the Atlanta area, and offers some meats that are hard to find elsewhere(eg lamb kidney). On that fact alone, I’d like to give more. But for every tasty kabob(the lamb tendon, chicken heart, and aforementioned lamb kidney stood out), there was a disappointing one – eg the beef kabob. And, they forgot our squid kabobs, which I can’t understand the oversight given that we were the only ones in the restaurant at the time. I’d like to go back again and be proven wrong, but they didn’t quite sell me on the first visit.

I’ve never been to any kind of kabob restaurant and for this being my first it did not disappoint me. The seasoning and quality of the meat are amazing, and the prices are just affordable. My favorite was the mushroom wrapped pork belly, the lamb and squid.

I wanted to grab something that would fill me up for a while, compared to the popular snack shop next door. The pan-fried bun made for a nice appetizer, but keep in mind it’s just the bread itself to nibble on. For my entrée, I ordered the meatball and rice dish, which included a light salad and some corn. At first, I thought this was a particularly small portion, but I gave it a go anyways. The«black sauce» glazed over the meatball soaked the rice in a delicious, bold, and warming aroma. The meatballs were not like spaghetti meatballs where it was relativly dry inside, or thick like phở meatballs. A little larger than a golf-ball, you could bite into half of one and stick it in some rice and sauce. The taste was not overwhelming, yet not subtle, either– just right. The salad and corn on the side helped to take a pause and give my taste buds a break. The inside of the shop was very modern, looked homey, and clean. Service was awesome and on-point. Go give them a try.

Found this place on Unilocal and me and the wife decided to try it out . I like how it works as you order the kabob as you go. Try the mushroom wrapped with pork belly wrapped :) Fantastic . We also had a spicy fish bowl which was delicious and tasty . Looks to be family owned since the it looks like the husband & wife running around taking care of their clients(a sign of potentially great food) Over all We would come back as we were satisfied with everything, tasty food at a great price very close to home …

Delicious spicy kabob fresh off the grill! Found this place randomly, have come here twice in a week already. Squid kabob is tender, lamb is delicious and well marinated, as are the mushroom wrapped in pork belly. The sauce they use on the kabob really compliments the flavor. Also they are cheap, most of the kabobs are 1 to 2 dollars, some a little more. Tried the Fish hot pot, which is also good. Scallop Dumplings are fine. Our new favorite kabob place!

Best place I’ve been with Chinese Northern style of food. Was already impressed by the decoration of the place right after we walked in. We ordered some lamb, beef, chicken wings, and shrimps. The food reminded of my homeland China, I mean the chief made the food in right Chinese way. Probably is the best place where people can find kabobs in Atlanta. Also have to mention about our waiter. He could take care of all tables during the most busiest time, which really impressed us. There were 8 tables and he was fine to take care all of them. Most consumers seemed fine for us. Server was nice and patient. He helped and gave us advices about what to order. Overall 5stars out of 5

Came here on a whim recently. Not a lot of people know about this place, so when I went there was literally no other tables than mine. It’s located right next to quickly. The kabobs here are cheap! Even though the portions are snack-sized, it’s still a great deal! My favorite was the lamb kabob(only $ 1). It was very soft and flavorful! My second favorite would be the squid. It was coated in a spicy sauce. The mushrooms wrapped with pork belly and the chicken were my least favorites. They also have sweet corn on the cob skewers. I loved those! I didn’t see it on the menu though. The waiter offered it. There’s not much else I wanted to try on the menus except for maybe the dumplings. Service was great! He was nice, prompt and attentive. I would definitely come back here for more lamb kabobs.

Warning: I love Lamb Kabobs so much! This review is biased. So the trend is… Most people went to Quickly and see this new place next door, and the reaction is «Yes, finally a Chinese Kabobs place on Pleasant Hill/Old Norcross!» I was glad like everyone else. Now I don’t need to go to Kochi Maru and suffer from stomach ache the next day anymore. This restaurant opened in February 2015 and is owned by a Northeastern China native. I talked to him and ask if he is keeping his promise and open until 2am every day, and he said yes. I am going to visit him at 1am some day this April. Alright, here comes my biased food review. — Kabobs: I ordered Lamb, Lamb Kidney, Lamb Tendon, and Beef. I started with Lamb first of course. Oh my. Just like what I used to have in China. Meat was just right with right tenderness and right temperature. Next is Lamb Tendon, just right as well and chewy. Then Beef, but I had too much Lamb so I tasted the beef as lamb. Told you I am biased. Lamb Kidney was the highlight of the meal. At $ 3, a lot of you would be hesitant to order such a Fear Factor kabob, but if you like other organs, this Lamb Kidney will bomb you. Given that you eat it right away as the owner brings it to you, the crispy-outside juciy-inside kidney is just like eating the fish in the fish-and-chips basket. Spread some extra cumin and spicy powder on the kidney(and all other meats) to make it even more exotic. — Lamb Dumpings: According to the owner, all dumplings are handmade on premise. The 12-piece Lamb Dumpling dish is above standard. Dumplings are juicy, and the skin is at the right thickness. You can easily tell the difference between this and those Great Wall packaged ones. My tip for you is ask the owner for Black Vinegar. It’s a Northern China thing. — Braised Pork Belly over Rice: At $ 10.95, this is the one dish you can forget and focus on the Kabobs, unless you are really craving for rice dishes. Although the Pork Belly tastes like home and good, the serving is not quite enough for a big-eater like me. I did say big-eater didn’t I, so I will rather get 11 $ 1 Lamb Kabobs. Staffing could be a costly concern, as I only see the owner working by himself during busy hours on the weekend. And the owner is patiently waiting for the alcohol license to arrive. After that, watch this place flourish.

Wow, my new favorite spot to get authentic northern style Chinese food. I grew up eating this kind of kabobs in my home town and the only place in the US I ever had this kind of flavor was in NYC. I’m so happy to discover this restaurant right next to Quickly in the heart of Duluth. The décor is contemporary with pretty unique lighting fixtures. See through windows that allow you to inspect what your chef is doing at all times. My lamb and beef kabobs were cooked just right. The meat was tender and the fatty part was juicy and flavorful. I also enjoyed the beef dumplings. I was very impressed to know that the wraps were hand made. Service was also great. I have been here three times in two weeks. I intend to try everything on the menu but I always go back to kabobs lol… If you haven’t tried this place, I encourage you to check it out. Try their beef or lamb dumplings and their pan fried pie, omg so yummy!

A new kabobs place has opened in Duluth and it’s definitely worth a try! (Located right next door to quickly) This was my first time eating here. For kabobs me and my friend ordered the lamb, chicken, chicken gizzard, chicken heart, squid, and mushroom wrapped with pork belly. For actual dishes we got the chicken spicy pot and the hot pot with tofu. Kabobs: The lamb, chicken, and mushroom/pork belly sticks were my favorite out of the bunch(and probably what I would recommend for first timers). The squid one was my friends fav. All of the kabobs are cooked fresh to order over a coal grill thingy and seasoned with aromatic spices. They taste best hot! So if they get cold just ask and the chefs will happily reheat them for you :) Fyi: They all came with a little bit of spice seasoning on them. Dishes: The chicken spicy pot has chicken pieces that taste a bit like the popular nuggets sold next door at quickly except it’s cooked with onions/peppers and other spices that adds more flavor. The chicken is really good but I could do without all the other stuff it’s cooked with. I suppose that’s where the flavor comes from though. I really enjoyed the hot pot with tofu though! The soup was perfect to counteract with the spice from the kabobs cause I’m kinda a wimp with spicy. The broth had a good flavor and it was really filling with all the tofu, cabbage and clear noodles inside. Oh, I also love the seaweed salad that comes as a side dish! Overall it was a great experience. I like that you can see the chefs cooking your food through a clear glass and the interior design of the restaurant is really cute and modern. It’s good for groups as well. Plenty of parking. And the best part is they open until 2AM everyday!

Me and my gf was getting boba next door when we saw Kabobs house. It looked pretty nice from outside so we decided to give it a try. First thing we noticed when we went in was how empty it looked. It was 730 on a Friday night and you think there be more people there right? You can see the chef cooking the food in the kitchen which was pretty cool. The chef is also the person that owns quicklys next door. Service: 2/5(he was nice, but uh…) Our waiter seated us promptly as we entered. He didn’t really speak English very well, but well enough to place our order. He seemed kinda nervous the whole time, and we got the impression that he never worked as a waiter before. He forgot to ask us if we wanted to drink anything and never took the menu after we ordered. He even placed the food on the menu when it came out. They also messed up our order and gave me the same soup my gf ordered when asked for different combination. It was taking a while for him to trying fix it, so i just ate it. He was very apologetic which made it better. Food: SOUPBOWL: −1÷5 Kabobs:(2.5÷5) The most important thing at a restaurant is obviously duh food. I don’t care if the service is SHIT. If the food is cheap, plentiful, and tasty then everything is good(last 2 most important lol). Sadly, most of the food was crap. IDK if we ordered the wrong thing or what, but the soup was WACK as F***. We ordered 2 soups for about 13 bucks total. I wanted this to be the bulk of the meal. it had choices of 2 meats and 3 veggies. I ordered the beef, meat balls, cabbage, tofu, and seaweed. The bowls that we got were so pitiful. There was one skewer with a piece of meat 2 inch long. There was only 1 meat ball cut in half. THATSRIGHT1 F***** BALL. 6 – 7 thin pieces of cabbages 4 – 6 tofu and NOSEAWEED. I MEANAREYOUKIDDINGME? what the utter crap is this??? how can they charge 7 dollars worth of food for stuff that cost less then 50 cents??? They told me not to drink the broth cause its pretty spicy: at least there was soup right?!?(YAFUCKNO) THEREWASNOFOODINTHEBOWL. And i was NOT exaggerating about the amount of food in that bowl, it really was NOTHING. VERY Disappointed KABOBS were pretty tasty. For about a dollar and a half a piece it was pretty worth it. The squid was good too. We ordered Cow penis which was pretty good actually. All in All kabobs was average, worth how much i paid for. A place that serves comparable food is the Northern China Eatery in Buford. They have dumplings, and all the other little eateries here too. I think i might have ordered the wrong food this time, but still, it is blasphemous that they would give us nothing for 7 bucks a bowl. I AMVERYANGRYABOUTTHATBOWL. I will NEVER forget this. TL:DR NEVERORDERTHEBOWL. Service was friendly, but he didn’t know what he was doing. Kabobs were tasty. Price was fair on some of the stuff o ya… NEVERORDERTHEBOWL. I WONTBECOMINGBACK… but i will for bubble tea :)

Today, I came here for lunch. This restaurant recently opened, it still had the new restaurant smell. I had their lamb, beef/tendon, chicken gizzard, seaweed salad, cucumber salad and mushroom with pork belly. I was surprised how flavorful and tasty each dish and kabob was. The price and value was decently priced compared other asian kabob places. They are also open late, so this place is good for sobering up!

Newly open kabob place right next to Quickly. The seatings are both booth and tables. Ordered the following: — lamb kabob — beef kabob — beef tendon kabob — beef tendon balls kabob — chicken gizzard kabob — chicken heart kabob — squid kabob — mushroom wrapped with pork belly kabob — lamb hotpot* — grilled steak rice bowl — lamb and zucchini dumpling — meat pie — noodle soup with pork ribs Total was about $ 50 something for dinner of 3, so its not bad with all these food. *the lamb hotpot we got isnt your typical hotpot you get at say Mini Hot Pot. Its more of a noodle soup thats already cooked for you and serve in a «bowl». A friend said it taste pretty salty to her, but I didnt taste any saltiness. The kabobs werent bad. They were pretty moist and warm. I appreciate that they didnt have that«fishy/raw» taste when eating it. Pieces were decent size. Prices ranges from $ 1.00 — $ 4.00 per stick/order. They come out cooked for you so you dont have to do the cooking yourself. Grilled steak rice bowl is the least favorite. The steak was thinly sliced yet tough to chew/bite off. Taste wise, its not bad but taste more like bbq meet teriyaki sauce. You get a small side of cabbage&seaweed salad and corn. Lamb and zucchinis dumplings are nothing special. It’s decent and taste pretty good. But again, it’s nothing special. Meat pie. Its like a flat bun with meat inside and is fried. If you been to other chinese/taiwanese places, you know what im talking about. Noodle soup with pork ribs is your typical noodle soup with veggies and pork ribs. Nothing special. Server is nice and make sure your cup is always filled with water. Kitchen is an open kitchen so you can see the chefs prep/cook. Overall, pretty decent place. Good eats. Cheap prices. Server is nice. Opens late.
