Deming Lawn & Landscape

Awful company. They can start turning it around first by picking up the hundreds of leaflets strewn around the mailboxes. Good luck with that business model. Disgraceful business practice that prides itself on landscaping.

A gentleman came out from the company and provided me an estimate to mow and trim our yard. Having been recently relocated to the area due to a new military assignment that will have my husband gone from our home more often than he would be here and myself being disabled, I need this service done and it be reliable. We discussed many things that day regarding the lawn and some bare spots and how to go about taking care of them. Their estimate was not the cheapest, but it was not the most expensive either. I signed the contract agreement form that day and the company was at my house two days later. I was impressed with their service that day and looked forward to them returning.
One week later I receive a call from one of the office employees saying that she had been asked to call me to say that their company could not take care of our lawn, regardless of the fact that I had been told they could. The owner had decided that I was «too far» out of their service area, yet they mow in another development that is ONE MILE from the development we live in. I told her that I would like to speak to the owner because their employees had ALREADY provided service. The employee on the phone was unaware that they had already been to my house and she even confirmed that they provide services in the other area that is extremely close.
I have yet to hear from the owner. I find it to be extremely poor business to provide a service and then deny that they are able to do so. I’m sure they’ll expect payment and I’m certain that I’ll kindly remind them that they do not service my «area».
Just goes to show that the reviews you read and the satisfied clients they have are probably a LOT fewer than what I read. I did my research and felt confident in my decision to CHOOSE this company. Now? No. I absolutely do NOT recommend this company, nor shall I if ever asked for a reputable lawn care service, which is a certainty within the military community. We’re ALWAYS looking for something or someone and we depend on quality and trustworthy reviews.

We were really disappointed by the quality and service we received from Deming. Brian came out to do the initial estimate, but other than that, you never see or talk to him again. We contracted Deming for sod and tilling to level out the yard. We had our sod installed on April 19^th. By May 1^st the grass was turning brown and dying. We were watering it everyday like we were instructed, and we waited 3 or 4 weeks before cutting our grass, we didn’t step foot on the lawn except to water it, and we kept our dog off of it as well. Brian came out, without letting us know, to inspect our lawn, and told us that we needed to add fertilizer with a pre-​emergent weed killer. So we did just that, and used Scotts all in one dispenser. The grass that was still there did well, but the dead patches continued to grow. I contacted Deming and was told that we should be treating the lawn for insects and grubs. We had already been doing that. When Brian gave us our initial estimate, we chose to go with Deming because of their guarantee the sod would take. When I called and complained about our grass, they said they wouldn’t do anything, but offered to sell us their services to repair the lawn. Now isnt that just convenient. We concluded that our sod must have had a fungus in it, because we live in a town house and ALL the other lawns had ZERO brown patches. When I explained that to Deming, I got no help either. They refused to come out and inspect the lawn, refund our money, offer any services for free to fix the lawn, nothing. Nada. Zilch. I am so disgusted with this company. We basically got nothing from this company because our lawn looks worse now than before the sod was put in. I would never recommend this company to anyone. They only care about the sale and not the product or the customer. Do not use this company!

This landscape company does excellent service at a reasonable price. After they treated and seeded our yard, it looks fabulous.
