I have to admit that the name kept me away, but all their awards brought me in. Wine tasting at Buddy Boy was a relaxed, enjoyable experience. The owner was super friendly and welcoming. The wine was excellent, and we purchased several bottles. We will definitely return again!

Stopped in Buddy Boy’s today as we were looking for a winery near Hershey where we had some time to kill. We arrived as a small bus was pulling out, which was nice that we had the store to ourselves. There are two cute and friendly cats who will likely approach you as you’re walking in but they just want some attention. The woman behind the counter was very personable. She answered the questions we had and had a lot of knowledge about their wines. They have a wide variety of wine. a handful of dry and a lot of fruit and sweet, which was good because that’s what my wife and I like the most. As a whole, this winery is very laid back and in the middle of nowhere. Definitely not a fancy place but that’s more than fine with us. We spent about a half hour there, and left with 10 bottles, a few for gifts but more for us. And we’ll definitely go back.

I recommend the Merlot, the Darkside I believe it’s called. It has to be the best dry Merlot I’ve tasted from any Winery in central Pennsylvania. Sure they have a litany of fruit wines but they’re all made with either fruit purée or real fruit, you’ll never find an extract in any of their wines that’s why they taste exactly like the fruit they’re made with! I would highly recommend them!

I have never had such horrible service in my life! They wouldn’t even except a MILITARYID! Not only did they not except my ID they had terrible customer service and were quite rude. I came from CA waiting to buy this wine and then encountered the customer service and ended up walking out due to such horrible service.

Neat little place. Had some really good wines. The owner was very knowledgeable and helpful during our visit. She made the visit really enjoyable. Let’s just say we left with several bottles. I will be going back.

If you like wines that are hidden with sugar, this is the place for you… or you could just go buy some boone’s farm. If you truly enjoy good wine, pass on this place.

We went here the very first weekend it was opened and got a hay ride up to the winery. We didn’t know what to expect, but it was absolutely worth it. We’ve been here several times and each time seems to be better than the last. The owners are super friendly and really know what they are doing! They also have«hilbilly wine glasses» which are hilarious. Saturday night bands are always a great time. They even had a fire going in the back. Its ALWAYS a great time and everyone is super friendly!

A nice variety of wines at Buddy Boy. I was pleasantly surprised by both the variety & the quality of the wines. I preferred the reds, but I attribute that to my preference for dry wines(the majority of their whites are sweeter).
