Food too greasy to stomach at times. Some tacos have different texture. It all depends who is on the grill. $$$ due to the quality and taste of the food. There are better snd cheaper options but proximity is what drives their customer base. Cashiers often get upset when they get the order wrong and you correct them. I’ve been there in their position and you cannot be upset at the customer. Place is way TOO small to eat in. Consider take out or just eat in your car.

I love this place there Menudo is to die for I can eat it every day. The tripe is cut in small pieces and there is a lot of it. It reminds me of the stuff I used to eat in Mexico.

Ate here for the first time, today. Was expecting fabulous food. Was treated to «meh,» instead. The prices are very reasonable.(My sister and I NEVER get by spending $ 10 on lunch on a Sunday afternoon.) Unfortunately, that is the best thing I can say about the food here. Our experience started with deciphering the menu. Language wasn’t the problem here. There were no prices on anything – just a bunch of numbered dishes. When we ordered, the cashier only put one drink on our order. I know this is a small gripe, but seriously! There were 2 of us. I said 2 drinks. What did she expect? That we were going to stick 2 straws in the same cup? At the very least, she should have double-checked. The real reason I was annoyed was because I paid with a credit card. I had to fish out cash to pay for the second drink. Now, to the food. I had been given the impression this was the best Mexican food around(and I usually prefer to frequent small businesses because their ingredients are fresher and the food tastes better). I didn’t really feel that was the case. The carnitas was well-seasoned on the nachos and the guacamole tasted pretty good. But that’s where it ends. As others have said, there was an overwhelming amount of onions on our nachos, so much so that I just quit eating. I ordered 2 flautas on the side, because I love flautas and always like to see what they taste like at different restaurants. Um, no. Just, no. Instead of being flautas(flour tortilla), they were taquitos(corn tortilla). This may seem nit-picky, but there is a major difference in taste between those two types of food. Frying meat wrapped in a corn tortilla always seems to leach the moisture it of the meat and leaves taquitos with a greasy taste. As a consequence, the meat(tried both chicken and beef) in the taquitos was dry and flavorless. Finally, the atmosphere. As others have said, the flies are RIDICULOUS. There is something immensely off-putting about flies buzzing around your food while you’re trying to eat. This is amplified when you are indoors. The booths are unevenly spaced and not bolted down, so I had to adjust the booth benches and table where we sat, so there was more than 6 inches of space between the back of the seat and the table. As it was, I had less than a foot of space between the back of my bench and the table – a fact which became very apparent when the demon child sitting in the booth behind me(other side my bench) kept bouncing and shoving at the seat. I may not a large person, but even I have my limits. Bolt down the seats, people! It will keep your restaurant place orderly and save a lot of wear and tear on the furniture. The final nail in the coffin was the lack of accessibility for the disabled. First, the ramp up the sidewalk looked like it barely was wide enough for a person in a wheelchair. Second, the restrooms were ridiculous. If you needed to go to the restroom, you had to go outside and around to the back of the building. My sister(who is disabled) needed to use the restroom, but gave up when she discovered she would have to walk around to the back side of the building over uneven pavement and around a pickup truck someone kindly parked in the middle of the sidewalk to get there. Out of curiosity, we drove around to the back side of the building on our way out to see what the restrooms looked like. The facilities had 2 very tiny doors – no, seriously, it was like 2⁄3 the width of a normal door. NO disabled person would have found it easy getting through that doorway. To make matters worse, there was a dangerous looking cable hanging down over the women’s restroom door. Yeah. Enter at your own risk. Can’t say that I’ll be eating here again – at least not inside the restaurant. If you’re looking for good local Mexican/Tex-Mex, skip this joint or go through the drive-thru. Just make sure you ask them to put the onions on the side!

This isn’t the cleanest place. I always go through the drive through. Tacos are cheap. We usually order chicken fajita and lengua tacos. The tortillas are a bit greasy but I forgive because they are so cheap. The lemonade is very tasty. We tried the Tres Leches once and decided not to do it again. It was gross. They usually place super large amounts of onions on the side and they skimp on the avocado side. I’ve thought I should just go to Terry’s next door and buy an avocado. I feel ripped off so we stopped ordering the side of avocado. Otherwise this place is cheap and usually fast.

After eating at out of the comfort zone spots for three days straight in search of some hidden gems for tacos, this certainly wasn’t a diamond. Nothing was horrible taste-wise, but the gooey, sloppy texture of the chicken made my stomach church a bit… not to mention the extra juiciness was too much for the corn tortillas. Speaking of, they were pretty sub-par compared to the other two spots. One redeeming quality to this place would simply be their ground beef. It had a great flavor.

Inside is disgustingly dirty. Was good the first few times through the drive thru. Went inside the next time but had flies and was disgustingly dirty. Quality has gone down too.

I was at home and realized I was hungry. So I came up here to one of my good spots to eat. This place is never let me down. The food is hot and the staff are courteous yet they are busy. I had a flour tortilla fajita.

Really good food! From this place? What the? Carry Out and you’ll be Happy-er. This converted old Taco Bell is an eye sore. I stopped here, just by chance, looking for a «Torte» so I could show my wife who’s a chef. Being from NYC she’d never seen one. I got a pulled pork torte and it was really good. No fat, No gristle, tender meat in a marinade. In my opinion, it was not traditional because I was expecting LESS quality. My wife got some whole fried fish thing and Loved It! Yes, went back to this crappy looking quasi Taco Bell dump again the following week and got the Gorditas, my wife got the fish again. Same great quality. Well, I was expecting the traditional greasy Gordita but they were fabulous, no grease or fat or gristle. Again I’m back, damn this place is STILL Ugly! I got the enchiladas and my wife… the fish yet again. What’s up with this fish? Enchiladas, perfect. REAL home style enchiladas like my mother makes. A real enchilada is a blanched corn tortilla, rolled, seasoned, filled, and baked with cheese and served. NO Enchilada Sauce, gravy or what have you poured, drizzled, or dumped on top. I guess only white people think that’s enchiladas. Apparently they have some sort of food quality control to be so consistent. My wife really likes the fried whole fish thingy. Me, I’m a breaded fried fish basket person. This is a whole fish, head and all, probably pan fired because there is no breading and it’s not oily either. The fish is steamy hot and tender. Yo Ceasar, you got the food down and you have two of these places I hear. Time for a nice«Clean» sit down restaurant where I can have some beer. Please, NO converted Pancho’s Restaurant!

We have loved this place for a while now because we really do like the food. We mostly get the tacos, but we’ve tried other things too. My low rating and this less than stellar review is based not on the food, which is fine for a Mexican dive taco joint, but on the service and the cleanliness. First of all, the place is always filthy. Enough said. Again, it’s a little dive taco joint, so we overlook that. But what we can’t overlook is the attitude. How many ways are there to say«no cebolla»(onion). I’ve said it 2 ways: Spanish and English. Yet Every. Single. Time. We. Go… they put onion on my S.O.‘s meal. Or guacamole. Or sour cream. Or anything else we ask them to leave off. They just completely disregard all special instructions. When we point it out, they apologize and don’t offer to re-do it. They’re very flippant about it. We’ve been nice, but it’s tiring. We’ll keep going there. It’s convenient. It’s cheap(75 cent tacos until 11am!). And yes, we do like the food. I’ll just have to start being more of a b****, I guess.
