We enjoyed the oustide sitting by the water. Friendly service and great food. Love the fresh dish and crab cakes. The white sangria was amazing!

Great food, great beer, great service, right on the marina outside in Dunedin! Definitely a relaxed place to eat. Try the peel ‘n eat shrimp appetizer with a local beer. Loved it, will go back.

We went on a perfect night with kids… it was a rainy day all day so it wasn’t busy. It was my first time and didn’t know what to expect. It’s not a place for kids but there is a kids menu. It’s really a bar setting on the water. Tiny place. Food wise… we ordered more food than we should have. We wanted to try the ahi poke that was a favorite. I thought it was bland. I’m from hawaii. It needed more soy sauce but I just added sirracha. The fish was fresh. Also got the tomato bisque soup but no cream in it so it was more like a fresh tomato basil soup. It was great on a cold night with the ritz crackers it comes with. We then ordered a mahi mahi taco and Covina taco. Both good with a good slaw on it. They come with chips. We should have stopped here. But also ordered a blue crab grouper dinner. I didn’t seem to taste any blue crab. The grouper was fresh but wasn’t too great. Our girls ordered dinosaur chicken nuggets and kettle potato chips.

Lovely local stop for lunch or a brew. The Swordfish sandwich on ciabatta was excellent, perfectly seasoned! Enjoyed the seafood chowder, conch, tomato based broth, spicy & very flavorful! Selections of local beers, including IPA’s, I was unsure of which to choose so our waitress offered to give me a taste of each. Would highly recommend this waterside eatery and plan to return on our next visit.

This is a small place right in the marina area. The menu is simple and the prices were fair. The seafood was fresh and the service was prompt and friendly. Seating is limited and most of it is outside. Just what we were looking for.

This is a very small, lively restaurant located directly on the water with a view of the Dunedin marina. It is extremely busy with a small amount of seating but that most definitely adds to the character. There is a clipboard located near the entrance that you can write your name and number in your party and just hang out taking in the view while waiting for your table. We actually got lucky enough to slide into the bar area and grabbed a seat and ate our lunch there. My husband enjoyed his fresh catch of the day tacos as well as lobster bisque. He loves chowders so I know he would have enjoyed the clam chowder more but he opted for the lobster because I always end up eating half of his food. What can I say, I love to try everything. My daughter chose the steamed shrimp which lacked a bit of flavor. I had the tuna poke and grouper cheeks. The tuna seemed a little lack luster. It had a nice balance of sesame oil but was served with Ritz crackers, I feel there is a better vessel that would make this dish better for me. There is no fuss with the presentation and everything is served on disposable plates which I love. I would love to revisit this restaurant and hope to explore the menu a little more.

i wasn’t super impressed with this place. The view was beautiful, right off the water, the place was packed. Their sangria was yummy. we ordered peel and eat shrimp. very good, very fresh. The crab cakes were horrible which was disappointing because they were a very popular item. The crab tasted canned, it was mushy, almost warmed half cooked crab cake. that was a thumbs down. the grouper tacos were okay but not much fish in the taco. they kinda chinced on that. it was expensive enough to at least not skimp on the fish taco. left with 100 dollar bill but definitely not a 100 dollar satisfaction.

Why 4 stars, the location is very nice as its right in the Marina and you can see all the boats and some what of a view of the intercostal waterway. Seating is very limited and half of the tables are only covered with umbrellas So if the weather is cold or it is raining it may not be the greatest place to be. The service is excellent, each time we have been there all the servers are always coming to your table and asking you if you need anything, and they get whatever you need right away. As far as food goes which is obviously one of the most important part, everything that I have had there always been fresh and very tasty, last time I went there I tried the Dunedin Greens with Blue Crab salad on it with a mango dressing and it was excellent. The smoked fish spread if you like that kind of thing is excellent although you have to keep asking for extra crackers because they do not give you enough to go with the amount of spread. We have had fish sandwiches there and they also are fresh and very tasty. The bottom line is if you are looking for a quaint little place on the water to grab a sandwich or a salad and a beer or wine I recommend giving it a try, And definitely is a shorts and flip-flops type of place.

We were looking for a pet friendly place in the area, and we stumbled upon this establishment. The location is great, right on the water, and we were seated outside with our four legged friend. Someone else at our table ordered the smoked fish spread, and there was plenty to go around. I found the fish spread to be pretty tasty. The menu is relatively small. I ordered two grouper tacos which came adorned with olde bay cole slaw, keylime vinaigrette, and avocado. They were decent, but not great. The missus ordered the blue crab salad roll, which came with spring mix & avocado served on a hot dog bun. She said it was pretty good. The staff was also kind enough to make our little one a grilled cheese sandwich. This is probably a 3.5 for me, but I’ll go ahead and award the fourth star for being on the water, and being pet friendly.

Used to always go here for fresh shrimp and fish when I lived in Dunedin, but now they have a restaurant(hell, maybe it’s always been here and I just didn’t notice). Went there for lunch during the holidays and it was crowded, but the wait wasn’t too bad and the food was definitely worth the wait.(Note that although I live in Utah now, I used to live in FLA and am a real fresh fish snob.) I got the grouper sandwich, which was fresh and grilled to perfection. The fish was thick and flaky and did not have the grease of other local grouper sandwiches. We also tried the fresh fish tacos(just get whatever they have – seriously) and the shrimp and corn soup. Everything was great! Next time, I want to try the raw oysters(how did I miss that on the menu!!!) and the beer. They have a pretty extensive tap beer list that includes a lot of local beers. Service was attentive and very friendly. I can’t wait to go back! Don’t believe the haters.

The location of this place is hard to beat, it nicely overlooks the harbor. The shrimp cocktail was pretty good, 6 shrimp for $ 9. The ahi tuna poke was great but too much ginger which gave a bit of a bitter after taste. The cod tacos were bland, the taco lacked a sauce and the fish itself lacked seasoning. The servers were all pretty nice though.

Best stone crab claws around. WALT does it right! Check his new place just around the corner called Hog Island Fish Camp! Great food & menu!

Old Bay is a great spot to grab a drink and some great seafood. The grouper is very good. They have a great beer selection as well. If your here when they have the grouper cheeks on special make sure to grab an order of those. The service is solid and the view is great. I’d definitely recommend Old Bay as a top spot in the Dunedin area.

Just had a great lunch there on a recommendation of friends who appreciate great food experiences. All 3 of us could not pass on the scallop wrap special, with scallops, bacon, avacado, goat cheese, strawberries, greens with a wonderful sauce to tie it all together. Everything was thoughtfully intertwined and the bacon and scallops were cooked perfectly. All three of us agreed it was the best wrap we have had in a long time. The food coming out around me looked awesome as well. I’ll be back, and recommend this place for fresh caught seafood, without a deep fryer.

Perhaps two stars is overdoing it. I will admit the beer selection and price is reasonable, other than that… no way. We ordered the shrimp and Crab Parmesan dip for nine dollars. It came out microwaved within one minute in a small plastic bowl, with several individual sized packets of Ritz crackers. The taste was actually decent however the presentation, the amount and the tackiness of individually packed Ritz crackers did not meet the expectations for a nine dollar appetizer. My husband and I ordered fish tacos, he had the snapper and I had the cod tacos. These were the most flavorless fish tacos I have ever had. Their menu said there was a lime vinaigrette on the tacos, I tasted maybe, A spritz of lime. All of these are served with bagged potato chips. There was no price listed on the menu, however my husband’s tacos were $ 6.50 each, and he had two of them. There was no more than one maybe 2 ounces of meat on these tacos and again bagged cabbage on a tortilla with possibly a spritz of lime served with bagged potatoe chips. All in all, we were very disappointed with our dinner. We are residents of this area and felt like the prices for these items are far exceeding the quality of what we actually got. Perhaps they will get the tourists in there, but they will not get us again.

Meh… overpriced for what it was. This place is tiny and all the seating is outside, so make sure it’s not raining when you visit. They have an awesome draft beer list which included 7th sun, cigar city and other various microbreweries. For an app, we shared a ½ lb of hot peel and eat shrimp. They were great but lacking the Old Bay taste that was advertised. For our entrée, I picked 2 appetizers: crab cake and grouper cheeks. Both were good but not great and for the $ 20 price tag, I felt underwhelmed. My husband ordered a crab cake sandwich-same thing… good but not great. For $ 75(with tip) I expected more

Okay, I feel I have never been steered wrong by Unilocal until this moment. But it has happened, so we’re going to talk about it, and then i’m going to send you all to your respective rooms. Awful food. I mean an awful, bland, flavorless, sorry excuse for seafood. I would feel so embarrassed if I owned this restaurant. I mean, if you’re literally right on the water, your seafood should be AMAZING. We started with the fish dip, which was 2 – 3 stars. I’ve had much better fish dip elsewhere. I want delicious smoked fish flavor and I didn’t get much of that at all. You know what I tasted? Weak fish flavor, no smoke, mayo, and the saltine crackers they serve it with. I had to drown it in lemon juice to make it taste like something. Then I got the grouper sandwich and my husband got the grouper wrap. EVEN. WORSE. Both of them. So, so, sooo bad. If I closed my eyes I literally wouldn’t have been able to tell you I was eating seafood. It tasted like actual nothing. Cardboard and air. Again, drowned it in tartar sauce and lemon juice and still ended up leaving half of a piece of grouper in my basket. I’m sorry you had to die to become that sandwich, Mr. Grouper. That shit ain’t right.

Four stars based on the awesome location. The food was sort of bland but I only ordered scallops and honestly was only there for the great view anyway! Dunedin Fish Market and the Olde Bay Café is located near the Dunedin Marina where a lot of people dock their boats. It’s got a perfect view of the water and an AMAZING view of the sunset. It really can’t be beat in this respect. You can grab a seat on the bar area which overlooks the water if you want to enjoy the day and partake in a great view of Tampa Bay. The place is pretty busy, presumably based on its location, but the menu has quite a few offerings in terms of fresh seafood and bar bites. I ordered scallops and a side of vegetables. I received four scallops for $ 12, which is SUPER pricy in my opinion. The scallops were just okay. I think they had the shells still on them? They were sort of crunchy and weird. The vegetables were pretty good, but nothing special. They were just steamed. I saw several people with peel-n-eat shrimp that looked fabulous and wish I would have gotten that, but alas! I did not. The crab cakes looked awesome too. So… honestly, I’d give this place 2.5 stars for the food itself. It was pretty mediocre. The service was friendly and pretty quick though, which was nice since I was by myself. I’d come back to see the sunset and to try out other menu items if I was in the area, but probably wouldn’t actively seek to go to this place to eat again.

I cannot say enough about this place. The servers are not only really good at what they do but they are fun and engaging. It is small, right on the docks, and yet boasts more than 20 beers on draft mostly costing $ 3 or $ 5 a pint. Awesome location in the Dunedin Causeway and fresh fish! Great local spot and surprisingly sophisticated without pretension.
