Checked into this hotel with the intention of visiting my son at Seymour Johnson AFB. When we told the desk clerk why we were there, she informed us we were 45 minutes away. The desk clerk and her assistant proceeded to go on map-quest to help us find our way. In fact after we checked into our room, they came with updated driving directions which they felt would be more direct and safer for us to travel. In my opinion, they went above and beyond. Also, the room was very clean. In the future if I should be so fortunate to see my Son at Seymour Johnson, this is where I will stay.

The rooms felt clean enough, but not great. A layer of dust on bathroom shelf under sink where clean towels are kept. I was able to write«clean me» with my finger in the dust. I wonder if it will ever get cleaned. The furniture was in sad shape. See my photo to get what I mean. This hotel needs to be updated. They do a nice job on the lobby, but the rooms miss the mark. Hilton, the owner of this brand should be ashamed. They have a lot of nerve charging over $ 100/night. Also, they would not let me use the Unilocal discount of 10% that showed on their Unilocal listing. Another nice touch to top off my stay. Breakfast was better than most and the staff was very nice, so +1 for that. Not a bad choice of a hotel if you are in a jam.

Understand that this is five stars for a hotel«along the way» and not for a grand hotel. Travelling from New England to Florida, Dunn, NC is about halfway. After driving 600 miles or so, we wanted someplace clean, comfortable and accomodating to spend the night. The Hampton Inn gave us that plus breakfast. Immaculately clean, very comfortable beds, full sized bathrooms with plush towels. Help yourself breakfast included scrambled eggs, sausage, real waffles from a waffle iron, and freshly made oatmeal in addition to the regular cereals and pastries. The pool was clean and refreshing. There are hundreds of overnight options along I-95. IMHO, this place does it right.

We came across the Hampton Inn while searching for an affordable, clean, and safe hotel between Florida and New Jersey. The reviews we saw looked great and we ended up booking a room for the night. We stayed only one night, but that was more than enough time to reveal that the hotel was neither affordable, clean, or safe. Upon entering our room we were greeted by the sound of what can only be described as two large men having relations in the adjacent room. I ignored it and headed towards the bathroom for a shower. I noticed a strange material on the bathroom door. A little dirty, but not a big deal. I continued further and approached the toilet. There was a brown spot on the seat. Disgusting. I planned on having a chat with the manager later. But first, I looked inside the shower. UHG. There a pink chunky material in on the interior of the door. The same chunkiness that was on the bathroom door. I ran the water and saw it sliding towards the drain. I then realized what it was, vomit. UHG. I planned on having a detailed discussion with the manager about the bathroom, but it would have to wait until tomorrow morning, I had been driving for hours and hours and simply did not have the energy to deal with this today. I hopped into the bed which was pretty clean and turned in the very tiny television to fall asleep. Early in the morning I was awoken by a phone call from the lobby. They informed me that the police were here and needed to see me. I walked downstairs and was greeted by the police. Apparently my car window had been smashed while in the Hampton Inn’s parking lot and a significant portion of my luggage was stolen(~$ 800+ worth of clothes and Disney souvenirs). The manager who was previously quiet spoke his first words to me. The Hampton Inn was in no way responsible for any damages that occurred in the Hampton Inn’s parking lot, as he pointed to a sign in the lot. I ignored it and spoke to the two officers on duty. Apparently this was one of several break-ins this week. He believed that it was related to local gangs looking for firearms in the car. Wow, I wish I had known about this before I booked. The total damage to the car was around $ 600 and the total theft was around $ 800. I repeatedly attempted to request assistance from the Hampton Inn, but was never given a response. They kept saying my home owners insurance would take care of it. Sadly for me, I was only a college student and did not have home owners. In the end we discovered that the hotel was neither affordable, clean, or safe. I would not recommend. If you must stay here, please make sure that your insurance is in good order. On a trip to South Carolina we stopped in Dunn NC and stayed at the Hampton Inn located just off the 95. It was listed in the AAA handbook so we thought it would be a good one night stop. Since I am a long standing Hilton honors member and try to stay at Hilton chain locations I also felt it would be a good choice. We called the hotel late in the afternoon as we were driving south to see if they had any available rooms and were told there were only two rooms left so we quickly decided to make the reservation. Because of the weather(heavy thunderstorms), time of day and the fact we had driven quite a distance my wife and I decided to stay the night The hotel had a nice lobby and the front desk staff were very accommodating and friendly. They served a nice«Hampton Inn Style Breakfast» the next morning. Food was usual Hampton Inn food which was served hot and there was also a reasonable amount of offerings to choose from. The food and eating area was also clean. The room however was barely OK. The bathroom was redone, bright and clean. However the rest of the room was not. The carpeting was a bit drab and unfortunately appeared not to have been vacuumed since there were what appeared to be lots of «crumbs» in multiple spots along the floor. They were very visible and you could not miss seeing them. The furniture was a bit worn as well. If the room had been cleaner, brighter and more appealing I would have given the hotel a better rating. However, room cleanliness is off paramount importance to me. The bathroom was clean the carpeting was not. When something so visible(dirty carpet) is in plain sight you wonder what else is there that you can’t see! Their TV screen was also very small. Compared to the distance from the bed it was very hard to see clearly when your are watching from the bed. I was also a bit surprised to see the very good rating signs the hotel had been given by a hotel publication(don’t recall which one) that was posted near the elevator. I guess the person(s) who rated the hotel may not have found their room to have the same problems I found.

Not bad at all. It is a little hard to find, it seems the gps database is very slightly off. The rooms were clean, but a tad dated, however the bed and chair were comfortable. Our room was very quiet despite being located near the ice maker. Breakfast was great except for the juice. It seemed watery, but the coffee, pancakes, eggs and bacon, sausage were very good. I’d stay again.

The hotel was consistent with other Hampton Inns I’ve stayed at, what made my stay 5 stars is the treatment my family received from Patrick at the front desk. I have never received better service and I have spent hundreds of nights in hotels

During a trip down south on I95, we stopped at this lovely location. The hotel is very convenient to the interstate and offers a quiet, clean and safe nights rest. The staff was very kind, helpful and supplies the guests with a lovely breakfast to start their day. We will make this a regular stop when needed as we travel north or south.

Clean and cheap with a friendly front desk staff: period. But stay away from the free breakfast… or at least the scrambled eggs. They were definitely previously frozen. They looked like little yellow turds and didn’t taste much better!

So pleasantly surprised! Soccer event brought us to this gem of a hotel. Hospitality is wonderful — Patrick is the guest services manager and he is absolutely wonderful. Made our stay extremely fun and entertaining. He tended to all the guest as if they were his family. The hotel is very well maintained, rooms are very clean and they even wash the comforters for each guest arrival.

I had to work in Benson for the week and stayed at this Hampton Inn. Room was spacious, 40″ TV with 40 or so channels, free wi-fi, decent new work out room. I slept fairly well and had minimal noise during the night. Since I stayed for 5 days they gave me a fridge/micro wave for the room at no cost. The breakfast had bacon, eggs, toast, cereal, yogurt and juices. I don’t have any real issues with this hotel. It was quite pleasant to stay here.

About 40 miles or so south of Raleigh-Durham, NC lies the quiet little hamlet of Dunn. And just off Interstate 95(after it splits from 40) is a great little hotel for all us weary travelers. I usually stay at Hampton Inns because I feel they often provide the best bang for the buck in a discount hotel chain. And I like the free breakfast and cookies. This particular Hampton is quite new, and you just might inadvertently pass it by if you don’t know which exit to take(no. 73), because you really can’t see it thru the trees. It’s just far enough from the highway that you can scarcely hear any road noise — a MAJORPLUS in my book. They have a pool and a fitness center in addition to a spacious dining area on the first floor. The rooms are impeccably clean, roomy, and quiet. The air-conditioning system was about the quietest I’d ever experienced. I just wish they had those little dorm refrigerators to put cold beer in. The only problem I had during my 3-night stay was that my key-card malfunctioned twice, and I had to go all the way back to the front desk each time to get a new one so I could open my door, a major pain in the @$$. Otherwise, I would give this place 5 stars.
