The Vanity Center

I wasn’t impressed by this place. The atmosphere is really a hair salon. While you are in the room getting a facial, you can hear all the chit chat and drama with the hairdressers because the ceiling to the spa room is exposed. So, there is no relaxing. My esthetician didn’t ask me anything about my skin before she got started. But what bothered me the most was her horrible breath! The entire microderm treatment I kept holding my breath whenever she spoke. It smelled terrible, like tuna mixed with poo! I really couldn’t wait to leave. The microderm was decent. But wasn’t impressed by receptionist either, who kept telling me I wasn’t on the schedule or that my groupon had been redeemed when it hadn’t.
And she kept going to eat cookies from the table that was for clientele. She asked me if I wanted hot water for tea. I said, yes please. She went to the back but never came back with the water. Then, she asked me again … Oh you want hot water right? Yes, I said. Then she left again, but never came back with it???

haven’t been there, and honestly they are so rude! I called with a simple question and it somehow turned into my incompetency of not understanding medical terms. From the other reviews, i would not go to a place that is dirty. Dirty rude people can’t possibly have a clean business. I’ve researched tediously on microdermabrasion and had some done, i just basically tested her and she doesn’t seem like she knows what she is doing. Don’t waste your money, we go there for a relaxing day. not to bicker with some old hag.

My experience with Dory was absolutely fabulous.
I came in for a microderm in the morning and I was very pleased with my first visit. Dory really took her time explaining all of the services and explained thoroughly how to take care of my skin after the treatment.
After my microderm, Lynn came out to make sure the visit was great and took her time to chat about my concerns regarding my skin.
I’ve felt very comfortable during my whole visit, which is why I went back for the second treatment with Dory.

This certainly wasn’t a «spa» experience. It’s not a lush environment. It’s more utilitarian. They get the job done, but no pretty waterfalls or aromatherapy. (With a name like «Vanity Center», I assumed it would be more of a spa.)
I had the photo-​facial. When I had this treatment at other locations, they explained things and what would happen to my skin. However, when I asked about the therapy here, they did not explain what would happen and my skin reacted differently — or more accurately, not at all. So, I’m a little confused as to if I received the optimum photo-​therapy or not.
Lastly, I showed up for my second appointment and they said I was an hour late so I lost my appointment. (This was inaccurate because I have a standing conference call at that hour and would not have scheduled anything for that hour.)
