Went here for breakfast. The food was good(no complaints) but the service … We walked in and there was a girl at the front. I suppose she was the hostess but she wouldn’t even take the time to look at us. Almost as if it was an inconvenience for her to acknowledge that people had entered the restaurant. She told us we could seat ourselves. Our waitress on the hand was super nice and prompt. She took our order but that’s when the wait began. They have a buffet for $ 8.99 but breakfast is at least $ 1 cheaper per person if you order off the menu. We kept ours simple — pancakes, sausage and eggs but it took over 30 minutes for our dos to come. That was when I realized, the buffet over charge must’ve been for the convenience of getting your food faster!

Stopped here on our way to visit family in Arkansas. The buffet was good looking. BBQ chicken, hot links, and fried pork loin. There were plenty of vegetables to choose from including homemade mashed potatoes, peas, pinto beans, friend okra and fried squash. The buffet area was clean and a nicely stocked salad bar. The tea was good(and I’m a tea snob) and the service was exceptional considering how busy the place was at lunch. $ 8.95 for the buffet but did not include drinks.

Bob’s used to be located on 6th street but now it is over on Washington. It’s a quiet place but very welcoming. Kennedy is always my server. She is super friendly, helpful and on top of things. If you don’t ask for Kennedy, you won’t get the best service. Seriously, just ask for Kennedy when walking in. The food is tasty. I’ve only eaten what Kennedy suggested so I’m not sure about other menu items but the chicken fry is amazing. Huge potatoes. Crinkle cut fries. Affordable salad bar. Man I’m eating manna in heaven and Kennedy is an angel of God! Seriously, ask for Kennedy.

Love this place — it is what it is, a terrific small-town restaurant. I know they have a buffet from time to time but I can’t speak to that. We were there on a Tuesday morning and had terrific service(sorry, I can’t recall her name but I think it started with an «A».) and the food was exactly what we wanted. A nice change from the local casino offerings. For the record, we had a hungry man breakfast, french toast and eggs with hashbrowns. And the coffee was good, too!

The first thing we noticed when walking into the restaurant was the incredible silence. There were several people here but no one was talking and there was no music. Oh well… let’s eat! My boyfriend ordered the Hungry man breakfast– bacon, ham, two eggs and two pancakes. I order a pancake, an egg, and bacon. The meal took 45 minutes to make. I know that that meal would probably take 10 – 15 minutes tops. The worst thing?- two groups came in after us and both were served their food before us. The waitress never apologized for the wait or warned us that our food was going to take a while. I couldn’t help but feel ignored/not welcome at the place. We personally picked the place because it seemed like a sweet local mom and pop kinda place… but I feel like if you’re not a local, you will not be treated well. Kinda sad :( I would still give this place 1 or 2 stars even if the food was good. but sadly it was not very good. My pancake didn’t have much flavor. The bacon was too greasy for me. And something else that really got my goat(ha) was the syrup bottle was covered in syrup, so if you wanted syrup, you’d have to take a trip to the bathroom to wash your hands before you touched anything else. It was a real disappointment.

I was very disapointed. My husband and I both ordered the KC strip steak with shrimp, and we are pretty sure that it was pork. It smelt, tasted, and had the texture of pork, and the seasoning was not good. The fried okra was over cooked and the mashed potatoes bland. What we did have that was good was the fried corn! The fried shrimp was AMAZING though. Could have eaten that all day long!!! I ordered my steak medium rare, and it came out well… I’m assuming it was because it was pork and not the steak I orderd. They did give us a 10% discount for the steak not being as ordered, and the service was really friendly. I was disappointed, because I had heard good reviews about the restaurant. When speaking to a friend of mine, they said the restaurant used to be good, but it’s gotten bad.

This is a great little family café. I’ve only eaten breakfast here, but their breakfast special is delicious and costs under $ 4. Not everything is that cheap, but all of it is reasonable.
