this place is fantastic. I get all my pet supplies and bird supplies here. They have a great frequent buyer program for all the pet food. All the employees I’ve dealt with have been excellent, very friendly and knowledgeable about the different options for dog/​cat food, flea treatments, bird food, etc. They are also super friendly to my dog whenever I bring her in. They always help you carry things out to your car without you even asking. The selection is fantastic, of food, accessories including toys etc., and treats. Also, it’s a good location with easy parking in the back of the store.

Great place with a great staff. My wife and I just got a golden retriever puppy and brought him in for his first «pet store visit.» The staff clung to him and Stacey was really helpful giving us information on harnesses, vaccines, training, and dog food. She even gave our pup a few treats that were on the house. Love to see local places thrive. Much more personal experience than going to a Petco or Petsmart. Highly recommended! I’ll be back soon!

Good place if you know exactly what you need to get. I get my larger dog’s food here and the prices are good and I’m in and out pretty quickly. I had to return a food once and that was painless and they were really great about it.

This is your destination for gardening and pet supplies! The pet food was mostly organic top-​of-​the-​line stuff, but they seemed to have a lot of things on sale. Don’t miss the separate building out back with all of the bird supplies (though no actual birds… I was hoping that it might be a sort of pet shop. A guy told me to stick around because he expected some pigeons to be coming through the parking lot pretty soon…)

I really like Barnes Supply. I’ve been buying my dog food here for a short while, and their selection of both raw and dry food is quite good. I had a brief conversation with one of the salespeople about my dog’s bout of GI issues, and then when I came back a few weeks later, she asked me how my dog was doing. It’s the little things like that that separate those big, impersonal chains from the more wholesome locally-​owned establishments. I wish they had more treats and such for my equine friends, but then again, that’s not really a fair nit-​pick.

This is the place to go for gardening and animal supplies! The selection of dog food is superb and the customer services is outstanding. They have a wide selection on gardening tools, supplies, and trinkets. Whether you are looking for food for your chickens or dogs, or sprucing up your garden, they will have what you need and be glad to help you with any questions you may have.
If you are buying your dog food here, make sure you inquire about their frequent buyer program!

This is a bit like a Phydeaux lite — garden shop hybrid. Not as much selection for your furry friends, but still several dedicated aisles. Lots of healthy brands of pet food, including several bags that feature HOWLING WOLVES. Is your pet bad-​ass? They will be.
If that doesn’t convince you, maybe the nursery aspect will. From little (seeds) to large (über weed pressure sprayers), lots to get your garden growing. Also a gorgeous-​sounding collection of wind chimes. And near the checkout, their own preserves alongside staples like local apple butter and honey!

Helpful staff talked me through the different options to find the best food for my Mastiff. Made sure that I knew the benefits of different brands, and made suggestions in terms of what they used for their own dogs.
Staff is always pleasant and happy to see you and your pet. Every time I’m there with my dog they offer to give him a treat.
Happy to give these great people my business.

Where can you go and get all Natural dog and cat food, a jar of local honey, and enough herbs and vegetables to start a garden! That what keeps me coming back! Great deals on bulk food, knowledgeable staff! Great place, when your done grab yourself a free candy or dog treat or a bite to eat on Ninth st!

Super helpful and friendly staff! Great selection of top-​notch dog food. They also have a wide variety of seeds. I love going there and being able to bring my dog along too.

We love going to Barnes, and so do our dogs. The people who work there are super-​friendly, always offering to carry a heavy bag out to the car, asking about our dogs, and giving our dogs treats. On the «seed» side of feed&seed, they have a lot to offer too, in the way of tools, supplies, plants, seeds and advice.
Don’t be scared of the parking here — even if the Elmo’s lot is full, there are three spots directly behind Barnes just for Barnes customers, and there’s almost always at least one open.

I came here to buy supplies for an upcoming Habitat-​for-​Humanity project hoping to find some good deals (I had heard good things about the pricing). While the prices were reasonable, the store design is confusing, and I found it difficult to navigate and find the things I needed. There wasn’t a sales associate in sight to help until I got to the register, at which point they were extremely helpful. The pet supply area looked quite ample, but I wasn’t shopping for my dog on this day, so if I go back for her, I’ll add an update on the product offering and price!
