Jay is probably the only honest mechanic in the raleigh area. Went in to change all four brake pads for only $ 150. Most places charge you $ 130 to $ 200 for each pair. After he installed it he took my car around the lot to test drive it to see if what he did was perfect. He also sends you via email of what he performed and also inspects other parts to see if anything needs to be replaced. He doesnt try to upsell anything to you. Jay stands by his work and it shows.

I’ve use Jay now for three jobs. As others have said, he does great work at very reasonable prices. He also has a great attitude about it and is very honest. Great qualities to have in a mechanic. I’m glad we have him in town!

Had a great experience at Carmedix today (formerly Jay’s Raleigh Garage). Jay installed customer-purchased struts for me. Many of the national chains (e.g. pepboys, firestone, etc.) will only install their own brand. His work was done competently and on-time. I could that he’s running an honest shop. He showed me the old struts I had on there and how they were worn out. He also informed me of other stuff that might need repairing on my car (busted tie rod) but didn’t try to rip me off or upsell me.
Definitely coming back to Carmedix for my future car repair needs.
