Cassandra is fantastic! She’s very professional and teaches you about the products and her techniques. She has a great personality and really connects well with people. She gave me a glam butterfly look for Halloween and a really great, customized henna piece around my wrist. It was so fun and looked amazing! I love the stuff she uses, and her face painting and henna is absolutely beautiful. Character Paints would be a wonderful addition to any party! I highly recommend her!

For a service like this, I’m looking for a few things to make it a great experience. 1. creativity 2. quality of products and 3. is this person interesting? I have to give Character Paints 5 stars in all categories. Creativity — Her background in the arts definitely lends itself well to this line of work. Her photographic memory, precise hand and sheer talent make every surface she works on just look amazing. Products — I have REALLY sensitive skin, so I use gentle products. I’ve had some crazy breakouts and reactions to all sorts of makeup, but not a single zit, blemish or problem with her stuff. AND — it stays put all night! Working with Character Paints — nobody wants to sit there and feel like a dud! it’s a fun experience!

When I first saw Cassandra G. at the Unilocal March Madness event she was painting her own face and doing a great job I have to admit. After a while I decided to get my face painted, and my main reason was just to make my kids jealous(I know right.) There were several designs that were laid out on the table, or I guess I could have had something made up, but I choose Iron Man. With the design, I was given the choice of gold or yellow, and I picked gold since it was more like the original. The entire process was relatively easy and Cassandra has the most gentle touch. It was so gentle you could barely feel her hand. She was excited while doing the painting and liked the fact that it was my first time ever getting my face painted. I was impressed with the quality of the work. After everything was done I was told that I could eat, drink or do whatever I wanted with the paint on and it was non toxic. When I went to wash the paint off, there was no scrubbing required, but it did take a few washes since I did use a deep red, and I wanted to make sure I wouldn’t stain my pillows. I would recommend Cassandra G of Character Paints. Maybe the next time I go to Animazement or something I will give her a call to see what she can do.

«Whatever life holds in store for me, I will never forget these words: With great power comes great responsibility. This is my gift, my curse. Who am I? I’m Spider-man.» — Spider-man, 2002 So last night(Mar-5) was the Unilocal Elite event with an appropriate theme to March Madness, at the Tobacco Road Sports Café, and to help everyone getting into the spirit of things, Character Paints with makeup artist extraordinaire Cassandra was also invited to give folks some face paints sporting pride from their Alma mater. Since I have no horse in race to ACC championship I have decided to forgo any shade blue or red or gold or crimson or orange and picked some nontraditional façade, and since my ultimate Marvel superhero is Spider-man, and it is amazingly available, albeit in the traditional red mask on the selection sheet, I decided for one night I shall be the friendly neighborhood crime fighter. Cassandra is a master at her craft, even if I had thrown in a curve-ball and wanted a superhero split personality, spidey on one side, venom on the other. Have you seen my new profile picture? I’m sure that picture speak a thousand words. I would not be surprised if I get called upon to fill in the role in the upcoming Marvel comic blockbuster films.

Get In Character! Visit: October 29 …With the area’s professional face painting artist, Cassandra Germano, of Character Paints. A couple of weeks ago, I was in North Raleigh shopping for my Halloween costume and stopped in New World Coffee Shop to rejuvenate with some caffeine and a snack before continuing my search for the perfect costume. While I was waiting for my latte, I perused the community board and found a flyer for Character Paints. The face painting designs were so intricate and pretty. Yes! Painting my face would really make my Halloween costume especially since I wanted to be a lion, tiger, or zebra and I don’t like to wear masks. Later that day, I checked out the website for Character Paints and I was even more impressed with the quality, creativity, and beauty of the face painting. So I made an appointment with Cassandra, the artist and proprietor. She grew up around face painting since her mom was a former clown. That’s cool! Not many people can say their moms were clowns. Neat! In addition to the life experience, Cassandra graduated from Maryland Institute of Art with a BFA in 2010. I met Cassandra and her husband, Ryan, on Saturday afternoon. She brought a kit full of professional makeup and face paint and lots of brushes. We briefly discussed my costume and the design I was looking for. But I was more than willing to give her free reign and let the pro handle the design. She explained her process and the type of products she was utilizing. She was very gentle and I could barely feel the brush strokes. It tickled a little bit. In less than 15 minutes, she had completed the full face design. I was astonished! My lion design was absolutely gorgeous. She instructed me to stand in the sun and my whole face sparkled. Breathtaking! So needless to say, I received tons of compliments from other costumed creatures on the Halloween Bar Crawl on Glenwood South that evening. At the end of the night, I had to wash off my stunning face paint design. It was a bummer. However, it was easy to remove with warm water and soap. I actually washed my face twice with soap to completely remove all the paint. I have sensitive skin and I was very pleased that I had no reaction or irritation from the makeup/paint. Cassandra does children and adult parties with face painting and henna designs. She is extremely talented and a sweet person. I highly recommend her. So the next time you want to get into character, contact Character Paints.
