Comfort Inn Research Triangle Park

Might be the sketchiest hotel I’ve stayed in. Ever. Id rather stay at the bates motel. But I guess that’s what you get for a last minute hotel.

Very disappointed. When we checked in, we found ourselves in a first floor room with a door opening directly to the back parking lot. The room was dirty with everything in the room showing heavy wear. The faucet was loose and when I turned on the water, there was water pouring out of the connection under the sink so I turned the water off. The metal latch that keeps the door from opening more than a crack was broken and falling out of the wall (see photos). I asked the desk clerk the next morning to have the problems fixed and she promised to take care of it right away. We came back 9 hours later to find that nothing was done. I asked them to put us in another room and they did, but these problems should never have occurred in the first place. It left a bad taste in my mouth. I will find a room in another hotel next time.

The man at the front desk was snooty. Maid staff seemed to walk around with a chip on their shoulder. I get a feeling there is a morale problem here. We were on the third floor and the water pressure was so low, we took a sponge bath instead. Just not enough to shower. Hot water turned to cold water on its own. You get what you pay for and less here.
