Crossland Economy Studios – Durham – Research Triangle Park

I stayed here just one night. All in all, my experience was decent. My expectations were mostly met, but all I needed was a room to sleep in overnight.
A few points:
The photos attached to this hotel show a coffee setup, I inquired about this while I was there and learned that there is no complimentary breakfast served at this hotel. There are plenty of places in the area where you can pickup something to eat, so it’s not really a big deal, but just be aware, there is no coffee or complimentary breakfast served here.
I stayed in a nonsmoking room, but the room smelled like a mix of ash and air fresheners, as though in the past it had been a smoking room and the scent had been covered up with an excessive amount of air freshener. The combination was like cigarettes and sweet soap or bubble gum, kind of off putting.
The TV was busted (half the screen blacked out and the bottom half showed an image) and had no remote.
Otherwise I got what I needed, a room to sleep in. That’s all I was looking for, and I got it at a good price through Expedia.
