I’ve gotten my eyebrows threaded now for about 5 years and started going here two years ago when I moved to Durham. They have always done a great job, are efficient, and usually have a short wait or not wait at all. They are not very chatty, which is perfectly fine by me because I’m coming to get my eyebrows done — not talk about my day! Plus, the price is right at $ 12. I think it’s always important to remember to tell your threader what you want — no matter where you go. Whether you want to clean it up or have a new shape. Just be sure to communicate to get what you want. I am moving away from Durham now but wanted to write a review because I will definitely miss Eyebrow Designer 21!

I didn’t like there at all! My eye brow looks horrible now! I lost ½ of my eyebrow. and the person didn’t have a sense of eyebrow measurements! Stay away from this place!

apparently all threaders here are not equal in talent. I just lost ½ my eyebrows(and I didn’t even get to say good-bye). I like a natural looking brow. I’m not fond of the«tranny» thin brow I’m currently rocking for the next few weeks thanks to an overly enthusiastic threader. Sigh. Back to the drawing board. I heard a rumor that someone from Anastasia Beverly Hills(best brow place in the world, pretty much) is in a salon in or around Southpoint Mall. I’m about to get my Google Search on and find out. So if you want to risk it with Eyebrow Designer 21 — there’s at least one person who’s awesome — but I don’t know her name. And at least one person who is not awesome — and I don’t know her name either. So basically what I’m saying is that I am zero help whatsoever when it comes to finding a good brow person.

Although they offer threading at a low price($ 12 for eyebrows), the woman who did mine cut the skin under my eyebrows badly. Instead of apologizing, she made up a bunch of excuses. Since I have been getting my eyebrows threaded for years, I know that it takes a gentle hand. So perhaps its better to request a gentler hand before you start — so you can avoid a bruise on your eye. Otherwise, its cheap and convenient.

I spontaneously had my eyebrows threaded here a few weeks back and it was awesome! This was my first experience with threading and it turns out that it’s a really cool process. It’s quick, it’s fairly painless and it’s mess-free. The Ladies at Eyebrow Designer 21 were pretty friendly, they accepted walk-ins and the price was so reasonable. I paid $ 12 to have my brows shaped and perfected and it only took about 5 minutes. I will 100% brave Northgate Mall to be threaded at Eyebrow Designer 21 next time I’m in town.

I switched to eyebrow threading after retinoids left my skin too sensitive for waxing. This is the first and only shop I’ve ever gone to, but I’m a fan. A year and a half after the first review, the shop is still extremely bare bones — at times I’ve gone in and the lights were not working, but, as the saying goes, desperate times… Still $ 12 for threading, and Zahraa is my designer of choice. Give it a try!

After watching a video about eyebrow threading on YouTube, I still have no idea how it works.(Google it if you’re not familiar… I think it’s magic.) It’s less painful than waxing and much faster than tweezers. Eyebrow Designer21 had been a kiosk at Northgate Mall and recently relocated to a storefront space at Northgate across from Victoria’s Secret. For $ 12, you can get your eyebrows threaded. The shop is a bit bare bones at the moment, so don’t expect a luxury spa, but if you’re looking for a quick and easy way to clean up your eyebrows, it’s a great option. I asked to keep them full and to make sure there was an arch, and they gave me just what I asked for.
