Spa JLK is the place for your body care needs. Kandi makes the most delectable treats to pamper your body with. I’ve been a customer for over 15 years. I love the Sugar Cookie Body Scrub and all the body butters.

Spa JLK is poorly marked-​no sign on the outside and hard to find. Ms. Cornita was late for the mani appointment (waited 10 min in my car and was about to leave when she rolled up). She never even apologized for being late, so unprofessional! She was rude-​ignoring me the whole time. Just ended up chatting with her friend later while i was there. Told be it would be half the cost of what she ended up charging me! Will definitely never come back.

I got a shellac manicure from Kandy using a Living Social voucher initially, and have been going back every 3 weeks for a new one — the polish doesn’t chip for at least two weeks so while they’re more expensive than ordinary manicures they last longer and look better. I recommend her.

My experience was not the best. I waited over an hour total after having to re-​book my appointment because the manicurist was not ready. It was advertised that I would «be treated to an exfoliation, moisturization, and nail and cuticle trim.» In actuality my nails were simply filed, polished, and then I got to wash my own hands. This should not have been advertised as a manicure. It is hard for me to imagine that the service I received was worth $ 40. The only good thing I can say is that my polish looked nice once she was done.

«JLK» stands for «Just Like Kandy». Cornita «Ms Kandy» Horne makes all her own products and they are very nice. She does manicures and pedicures. I got a couple Shellac manicures from her, but it ruined my nails. Now I just have her give me pedicures with regular nail polish.
Kandy is very reasonably priced for the services she gives, and she is also a very nice person! But don’t get to your appointment early as she is always about 10 minutes late for mine.
