Excellent breakfast! Price is standard suburb Pricing. Cute décor, connected to Cupcake so grabbing dessert to go is easy and delicious.

Very good place to come to with the family. They were very nice and they have a place to sit outside, were you can keep your dog. When I brought my little pup and they gave her a small puppy cupcake. The food was also very good, although I was quite disappointed that all of their meals weren’t served in jars.

Would totally recommend this place. Went for lunch, and they had a ton of yummy breakfast and lunch options available. They were also able to accommodate for me as I’m a vegan, which I really appreciated. Their pizza was amazing, and I would recommend it to anyone eating there. My boyfriend got the mac ‘n cheese and enjoyed it. I think the pizza was our favorite. Perfect place for weekend brunch or an enjoyable and casual meal.

My parents and I tried this place since they live nearby. Inside, the place looks very cool, there’s mason jars everywhere, and you drink out of them too. From the outside the place looked boarded up. The service was okay, but I the menu was the worst part. Very little options. I noticed that have an awesome pizza oven, and only 5 pizzas on the menu… And not even a plain cheese option. I got a Reuben and my parents both got pulled pork sandwiches, and a cup of tomato bisque soup. Everything was good, but just okay, nothing spectacular. Their fries were very good tho, they had Parmesan and parsley on them. A dollar or two over priced per item. I would prefer to cook at home than return again.

My 1st time here. Was driving by and liked the name. I was seated within a few minutes of walking in. Waitress came to the table two minutes later. I ordered a green tea.(Sorry can’t remember the full fancy name, but it’s green tea) I really enjoyed the tea, it came in a large cup little and flavorful. I’ll get it again. I then ordered the tator tot hot dish. Sooooo good. It came out it a little cast iron pan. piled ground beef, corn, tator tots and home made cream of something. I loved the serving size. When I usually make a bad nutrition choice they usually give you this huge serving that makes you feel sick. Not here it was a perfect portion for lunch. The tator tots were crispy and well cooked. Nothing soggy. The best part was it was not a greasy dish. Most of the time when I cheat and get this there is a pool of grease in the dish. I didn’t find that here. Not to say there was no grease in the dish, just very little. The waitress checked on me after my food arrived and then later to refill my water. I think she hit the right balance of giving me space and checking on me. I will be back with friends.

I had the pan roasted salmon and wow, was it good. The risotto was delicious, as was the vegetable accompaniment. My whole party was wholly satisfied and highly recommend dining at this establishment.

Whenever we’ve been to Mason Jar, the food has always been pretty good. My favorite dish has to be their strawberry salad with vinegarette dressing. It has chicken with romaine lettuce, fresh cut strawberries, and candied walnuts or pecans. So delicious! Their pancakes are fantastic as well. Most of the time I need syrup on my pancakes, but I actually think their pancakes are more flavorful without the syrup. That being said I think the service can be a hit or miss. When we arrived for the first time, the hostess appeared very uninterested in being there and had a fake smile as she greeted us.(Maybe that’s the way she is, I don’t know) Furthermore, we were told that we could sit anywhere we would like to. As we chose a spot by the window, we were told«Oh, we would like to reserve that spot for larger parties». It was a table for five, but we had three people. When we chose two more tables for four people and we were told the same thing! Uhm. please don’t tell me we can choose a place to sit if you’re going to tell me to not sit in particular locations. very misleading and inconsiderate. I would certainly go back for the food, but they need to work on their customer service.

We’ve been here a couple of times already and our recent 2 visits the food was super good. I would totally recommend the Chili Mac and Cheese or the 10,000 Lakes Pot Pie. One of the best places for comfort food in Eagan. I only gave 4 stars because the cupcake I had for dessert was a bit dry and the frosting wasn’t creamy at all. It was like eating butter with dry sweet bread.

I’ve been here a few times now and the food is always delicious. Today the service was also excellent. I again enjoyed the breakfast quiche with side vinaigrette baby greens and tomatoes. This time I had them add some mozzarella chunks to get a full Calabrese salad. Yumm. Today’s quiche had turkey, squash, and tomatoes along with other stuff I can’t remember. Regardless it was delicious. I talked my guy into the the pork & huevos rancheros. He loved it but as usual pushed aside the guacamole and Pico so I rescued them. I’m helpful like that. Until next time Mason Jar, thanks for another tasty meal.

I came here looking for brunch with a group of friends and was not disappointed. They had everything I look for in a brunch spot and more. First of all they have«Sunday Funday» specials which means half price Bloody Mary’s and mimosas. Already I’m very excited. Next the menu is actually full of awesome options. I had the pulled pork huevos rancheros and it was very unique to say the least. Great flavors, fresh pico de gallo and a good portion size. To top it off, when you are done with your main meal, they share the space with a cupcake shop! Ohhh tell me more you say? They probably had 3 dozen different flavors of cupcakes! They were a bit pricy at 3 – 4 $ each but that is the going rate these days for gourmet cupcakes. All in all, great brunch spot on a lazy Sunday!

Can be hit or miss. I’ve eaten here all three meals, brunch/lunch is probably my favorite time to eat there. Not a big fan of dinner. In particular, the shrimp and grits is to be avoided. They have no clue how to cook grits. A better choice is the Hot Tamale Pot Pie, a real stick to your ribs treat during colder months. It’s not too spicy, all but the most sensitive palates can handle it. As others have mentioned, Mason Jar shares space with Cupcake. The pastries look wonderful, but the flavor isn’t there. I’ve tried several different cupcakes and tarts, and only the Mexican Hot Chocolate cupcake is worth ordering again. In particular, the pastry on the tarts is not good at all. Highlights-the french toast topped with berries. Loaded with real whipped cream, it’s a decadent treat for breakfast and best if shared. The pancakes are quite good, too. The quiches aren’t bad, but would be better if they were made fresh and the aforementioned pastry didn’t taste so mass produced. I do love the mixed greens that come as a side dish. It’s a little chopped salad with a delightful balsamic vinaigrette. The soups are good, and I like the turkey burger for lunch. Overall, it’s okay… I think it could be better, but they’re catering to the masses, not reaching for excellence.

Yikes… what happened? I don’t know if we went on a bad night, or if it has really gotten that bad, that fast? We arrived and were treated like we were a nuisance to be dealt with. Seated at a booth and all of the staff except for one waitress were so incredibly unfriendly! Our waitress was really nice, rest of the staff were rude and looked like they were having the worst night of their lives. Having worked retail and in the customer service industry, it made me assume that the manager is awful to work for, or just lets his staff all run around with poor customer service skills. My son ordered the 10,000 lakes pot pie, I had ordered it before and it was amazing. Wtf happened? It SUCKED! It was dry, and the majority of it was big chunks of potato(cheap filler). It was the total opposite of when I ordered it. So incredibly disappointing. I fully understand food costs and such, but this was a complete joke. I ordered the salmon sandwich. This was an awesome idea, poorly executed. My croissant was TINY and burned, my salmon was a decent sized portion, which was impossible to eat on the croissant. It was a giant mess, or better yet… a TINY mess. Fries were awful, they are the weird frozen ones that have that strange texture because they are coated in something. Husband ordered the steak salad… another disappointment. They marinated the steak, awesome idea! But it tasted like straight up apple cider vinegar. While apple cider vinegar is super healthy for you, not what you want your steak to taste like. It was an all around disappointment. Being a Mom to a 9 year old and a 6 month old. going out to dinner is supposed to be enjoyable, this definitely was NOT. We got home and raided the refrigerator. We will definitely not waste our time there again.

My first trip to The Mason Jar was with two friends. They’d already been at our table for ten minutes when I arrived(oops) and had ordered drinks and been watered. I saw several servers walking around but no one ever looked at our table or even passed us to be flagged down. There was a larger group, about 8 people, nearby and the server helped them once or twice, but it took fifteen minutes for my arrival to be acknowledged. Once we finally had his attention and I had my wine, it was clear our server thought his«charm» was all he needed to do his job well. He didn’t know the menu and still barely checked on us, but when he did he acted like we should be infinitely grateful for his presence. I only ended up ordering only a cup of tomato soup, which was ok. Not terribly flavorful. The host was the most helpful employee by far and seemed to be the most industrious — she was the only one who’d refill our waters and asked if we needed anything. She’s the only reason I’m leaving more than one star. Based on the service, I doubt I’ll be in a hurry to go back. Also, when you drive up and see the sign for Cupcake, you’re not lost. It’s in the same space and there are no walls separating it from The Mason Jar, they have two separate doors, though, and depending on which way to enter the parking lot you may see one or the other first and assume you’re in the wrong spot.

Lost? This place was hella hard to find. There’s a cupcakery inside and apparently MN law is that you can only put one store sign out front, therefore they chose the cupcake sign. Price: Typical. I’d say about $ 8 – 10 per dish Parking: Lot Service: Pretty chill & attentive. Food: We ordered some crazy pancakes which were okay. They were like PB& chocolate. I’d say the highlight is the 10k Lakes Pot Pie. It was tasty but not OMGOMGOMOGOGMGMM. e Notes: No complaints. Overall: I’ve tried it once. Prob wouldn’t come back.

I think they either need to put a cot in the back for me so I can move in, or I just need to get a job here. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu and I haven’t been disappointed by a single thing. There’s not a better happy hour in Eagan, especially for the quality of the food you’re about to make love to with your mouth. Things you MUST order: Cheese board Shrimp and Cheesy Grits 10k Lakes Pot Pie Blackened Tilapia Tacos The list is long. The prices are low. The service is awesome. Eagans best kept secret.

After having lived downtown for a short 7-month period last year, I really miss the convenience of all the great restaurants within a 15 minute drive. Now that I’m all the way out in the burbs, the contrast in the variety of restaraunts is stark. The Mason Jar is one of the very few bright spots in the landscape of chain restaurants and marginally decent small enterprises in Dakota County. The Mason Jar is creatively decorated with a «hip» ambiance that could easily transport into an Uptown location without missing a beat. It has both(good) wine on tap as well as rotating craft beers and a creative cocktail menu. On weekday evenings they have live music that fits nicely into the background without being too loud for such a small space. The food — brunch and dinner — have all been very good. My kids like the wood-fired pizzas, and they have several cast iron hot dishes and a decent variety of other menu items that changes every 4 months, or so. Dinner for 2 adults and 2 children runs around $ 60 with a couple drinks before the tip, so it’s not inexpensive, but I am finding that you can’t go ANYWHERE for less than $ 40, so I’m willing to pay a little more to get something a LOT better. Lastly, I’ll mention that the restaurant shares a space with Cupcake — or maybe they are owned by the same people? I have no idea, but if you want to throw some $ 5 cupcakes on the bill they will do that too. I’m not sure if I’ve ever seen the sign for the Mason Jar or maybe it’s because CupCake is too dominating to see anything else. Nonetheless, there is plenty of room to park in this little shopping center and it isn’t too hard to locate if you look for the above. The only disappointment I have had is that a few times the staff has not been as attentive with the drinks, and once I ordered the brie cheese burger which was aweful. Otherwise, aside from the couple times the experience wasn’t perfect, I am still a big fan of this place and 99% of their menu as it is a rare shining star in the black abyss of of suburbia.

Finally checked out the Mason Jar for brunch. I’m really excited there is a place like this in Eagan — the menu is fairly creative, the décor is pretty cool, and the location has a lot of sun. As for the food — it was underwhelming. I think they need to put a focus on not necessarily changing the menu, but making it taste better. I got the huevos rancheros and it didn’t have much flavor –just boring. Plus, as another reviewer described it, it was basically breakfast nachos with refried beans, cheese, egg, and pork. I also tried a bite of the frittata and found it to be underseasoned. They can do better. Prices are fair — ranging from $ 8 – 12 for brunch, however bloody marys are $ 8(quality unknown).

Decent place for dinner — I ended up getting the pulled pork sandwich — it was okay but probably wouldn’t get again. The fries were tasty. My mom had a mushroom flat bread which was good but weird — it had a lemon slice baked on top which was off putting to me and didn’t really go with the flavors well. Hh seems pretty good here. Will probably try again as it’s close to family but overall impression was just okay. Our waiter seemed to have forgotten us towards the end too — it was pretty busy but not sure that’s an excuse.

This restaurant is connected with the«Cupcake» brand that can be found throughout the Twin Cities. Good feel with the décor, but received mixed reviews on a few of the items on the menu from my company. I tried the veggie burger with fries which was savory, but was a little dry. I would request mayo to go with the sandwich if I were to order it again. Overall, good atmosphere. Attentive and kind staff. Would go back if in the area.(I live about 15 minutes away.)
