I’ve tried them all, Watson’s makes my favorite sponge candy. Most of the big chocolate places in Buffalo make good sponge candy, but Watson’s is simply the best. I spent several years living out near Seattle, and I would ship myself sponge candy on a semi-regular basis(or command my husband to for gift giving occasions). I tried shipping it from Niagara, Fowlers, Platters and then I found Watson’s and never ordered it from anyone else ever again. For you see, if you are shipping sponge candy, Watson’s ships it the best. Not a single piece will be broken, they have bubble wrap inside the box to protect the candy and outside the box. When I gift people with sponge candy I always ship Watson’s unless the receiver has expressed a different favorite brand. Watson’s not only ships the best, but also tastes the best in my humble opinion. This shop is closest to me from my house in Clarence, so I end up here probably once a month. The workers are all very friendly. I’m a sucker for milk chocolate sponge candy and coconut clusters. HOLYCRAPSTICKS, Watson’s makes excellent coconut clusters. My husband and I have had to do rock, paper, scissors for who gets the last piece. I know my husband shoots rock the most though, so I often win that battle. They have a nice, big parking lot and this is right on Transit. Super easy to pop in, shop, and then go home and binge on yummy chocolate. They are a bit expensive, but you get what you pay for.

Someone once said that«you can mix anything with sugar and it tastes good, but if you mix anything with chocolate and sugar then it is heaven for chocolate lovers » and that«someone» would be me and i am not a chocolate frenzy. So i can differentiate the levels of goodness :)) Chocolate is a girl’s heaven as beers for boys ! so any girl would say the confections tastes great here but for me there is nothing here that would just blow up your mind ! I think lindt still rocks! Sponge candy is a famous treat around Buffalo(that i just discovered) and everyone raves about these! they have a big sign on door that says«our famous sponge candy» So i went in and tasted it. They have milk, orange & dark flavors. The sponge inside is nothing but a little more crystallized form of cotton candy. And i am over cotton candy, its been 25 yrs now. Before buying you might want to taste one ! Its too sweet for me as i drink tea everyday without sugar(not that i have diabetes but i tend to reserve my calories for the real stuff). I just bought a small pack of orange for my friends to gift on Mothers day as she loves Sugar & chocolates. The one that i liked were fudge bars. These are really sweet and good. I just bought a slice of each and made my own box. But make sure you tell them to pack each bar separately. Did they know that chocolate melts with heat? When i reached home, i found my bars kissing each other mildly and before they all churned into 1BIG flavor, i separated them and wrapped indivudally :( Speciality: They have different shapes & cast made with chocolate. Like Buffalo wings(someone says that great gift for dad or for someone not from Buffalo), Trucks. Truffles are as usual the common ones. Close to Maple country and no maple chocolates? Not possible right? They have some :)). The last but not least, the sponge chocolates ! This store is family owned store and they have many locations throughout the Buffalo but most of them are franchise. Here they do not sell ice creams or any other stuff than chocolate. Pricing: same as the expensive stores out there ! But can buy pretty much anything for a reasonable price as its sold per pound . I am NOT really a fan of this place as i tasted a piece of chocolate cookie from chow chocolat in Elmwood and you can taste the clarified butter in it. I call that’s heaven when things are made with real stuff !!!
