Beach Bagel & Deli

Operating as one of the closest place to get some eats and other staple groceries, Beach Bagel & Deli is a win. For me though, it was mostly a win for the bagels. Nice variety along with being affordable made fore the perfect addition to our girls weekend breakfast table. Friendly and efficient, perfect combination for a place you just want to run in and get your goods and go.
Cant wait to visit the area again!

Beach bagel where do I begin?! From the waterfront elegant seating to the friendly waitstaff I don’t know if I’m at the Atlantis in the Bahamas or long Beach ! Sunday mornings are the best over the summer when all the gringos come down and I have to wait 45 minutes to get a salt bagel with cream cheese. It’s a friendly atmosphere though as the deli clerks couldn’t be happier! Fresh meats, friendly people and drunk gringos, nowhere Id rather be on a Sunday morning!

Went last night… in a drunken stuper (not really) but they are open 24 – 7 and are like a mini grocery store. got a huge hero but it was 8 bux… then again, where I’m from, I’m used to it… it was 2 am and they still heated up my grilled chicken sandwich up for me… wasn’t the greatest but it was good. If I had this place by me I’m sure I’d be stopping in and getting my «usual.»

Excellent crusty and delicious bagels, with convenient late night hours during the summer. Their Appetizing is appetizing and fresh.

The only reason i ever come to this awful place is when my wife wants a bagel. Its a terrible, overly priced experience every single time. The portly (shall we say) gentleman making my order this morning seemed pissed off i just didn’t want two bagels he could throw into a bag and send me off with. It hasn’t dawned on him that his job is to prepare food, the way the customers want it. And I’m sick of hearing your toaster is broken. Its not broken, you just don’t want to dwell five extra minutes on a person because you are such a miserable human being. Not to be rude but I am assuming these nasty folks are working here because they don’t have tons of other options. I dont think modeling is in the big guys future so why not put on a happy face and take some pride in what you do. You’re certainly charging people enough!

I wish I could give this place negative stars. I’ve been here many times solely because it is the only bagel place in the area. Everytime I go in here it is an awful experience. The employees are complete assholes, especially the bald man with too much facial hair. He has yelled at me and various other customers. I’m not sure how he still has a job with his piss poor attitude and shitty bagel making abilities. This place overcharges and gives incorrect orders constantly.

Alright we were going to keep going BUT it looked like the hole in the wall spot that everyone goes! I had my friend double park and wait while I was in line for 25mins with 20 people (this is normal), so just chill for a min! NOOO one is in that big of a hurry. The beach will be there when you get there. Anywho, I finally got to the lady in line! She was nice, helpful, and let me know what I needed to do! I then paid and we were off! We got to our final destination and that shit was BOMB! The bagel was a little to much cream cheese, but they didn’t care so I took a lot of it out! My everything bagel was right out of the oven. Perfect seasoning, the crust was lite/​fluffy and delicious. Honestly it’s been a while. The price was ideal. Honestly I will be having bagel dreams for a while. OK,
If your in the area stop by! They have boars head, chicken, egg, flavored cream cheese. I miss this place already (sad day)…

If it wasn’t for my dependency on bagels, this place would not get another penny from me. Every time I walk into this place, I have to first take a deep breath to mentally prepare for the smug attitudes that will surely come from the miserable workers there.
Their affect suggests that they hate their jobs and they hate their customers. Why work at a job that makes you so unhappy? Being there is uncomfortable for everyone.
Many times, I’ll make a last minute decision to order something more simple because the guy making the food gives me a look that screams, «this better be quick you idiot customer!» Keeping these employees here is a terrible business decision.

Great spot for a good bagel. Best in town I must say. It gets a little busy in the mornings and on summer days. The Italian ices are awesome and great for summer. Love this spot.

They take credit card now. I stopped getting bacon on my bagel. I brew my coffee at home now. I’ve been spending a lot of time in Brooklyn lately and the bagels there just do not compare. The everything bagels are perfect when they’re fresh the cream cheese is always on point. What else can you ask for?

The guys behind the bagel counter are sorry excuses for employees. They are nasty and treat paying customers like we’re inconveniencing them by placing an order. They will sit behind the counter and make fun of customers with their fellow pea brained coworkers.
If the attitudes weren’t bad enough, they also cannot seem to get an order straight. My egg sandwiches always have something wrong with them… either they put ketchup on when I don’t ask for ketchup, they give me egg yolks when I ask for whites, or the sandwich is just plain sloppily put together and falling apart.
If it weren’t for the fact that this is the only real bagel spot on the west end, I would definitely go elsewhere. Now when I go, all I do is buy a dozen bagels and toast them at home (because when I ask them to toast my bagel well, I get made fun of and laughed at???)
Managers: please fire these guys. You would be better off hiring some hard working high school kids who actually care to work for their money instead of being a disgrace to your business and your customers.

This is our go-​to sandwich place when we go to the beach in the summer. The iced coffee is very good, the bagels are tasty and the jalapeño tuna salad is phenomenal-​and unique, I’ve never seen it elsewhere. Though it’s not fancy, it also has a bathroom which is handy. This review is only four stars because the line at the deli can be long/​slow, and the counter staff sometimes ball up the details of the orders-​giving me macaroni salad instead of coleslaw or forgetting the onion, for instance. But the jalapeño tuna… ummm…

I’ve been coming here since I was a little kid when it was called Milk n’ more. Back then it was great, now I’m just waiting for the dunking donuts to take away enough of the breakfast crowd so this place can quietly die off.
I would love to spend my dough on this mom and pop shop but the guys behind the bagle counter really suck. They have terrible attitudes generally and recently tried to rip me off on a small amount of cream cheese, I went back to get the price corrected (kindly, mind you) and some slob with a neck beard gave me a piss off attitude, changed it a penny and gave it back laughing with his co-​workers, I left empty handed.
It really is a shame, I’ve managed restaurants and hotels before and I have seen this a million times. Poor owner who is getting robbed of profits because of some grumpy bagle smearer.
Tip to owner: fire the grown men working for minimum wage, they will never be happy and always feel entitled to rob you. Either rob you of customers returning for visits like me, or rob you of inventory or cut to the chase and just pull cash from the till. Hire one good manager and have him/​her hire some highschool or college aged kids who will appreciate the money and opportunity. The ex-​con/​juggalo/​cousin who needs a job is draining cash from your bottom line.

Long line, but really worth it! The bagels are fresh and the selection of cream cheese flavors are really delicious. There is quite a variety of bagels as well. Everything is fresh and well prepared. I highly reccomend!

Excellent assortment of bagels, one of the few store that make their everything with salt. Large selection of cream cheeses. Very friendly customer service, and have a Ralph’s Italian Ices attached.

The bagels here was good. I found this gem heading to spin class at synergy one day and need a quick carb boost. The bagel was delish… It wasn’t the best bagel ever but still good. I loved the fact it right next door to Ralph’s Icey two of my favorite things icees and bagels in the summer time. You can’t beat that! :-)

Fresh hand rolled bagels. I loved my toasted onion bagel with eggs & cheese. The bagel was fluffy & the sandwich was filling. Great breakfast before getting some sun. I think this is by far the best bagel I have ever had in NYC.

A little bit of a walk for me, but well worth it for AMAZING bagels. Sadly you cannot find bagels like this in Manhattan so why not house the equivalent of 7 slices of bread in the morning before pouring my lard ass into a bikini and hitting the beach for a day of baking myself in the sun? Honestly, the bagels are enormous and doughy and delicious. They have an endless assortment of cream cheeses — I think I’ve even seen chocolate chip as well. The line is long, but they move quickly. My family and I love this place.

One of my favorite combinations is a mix of the regular and jalapeño tuna salad on an onion bagel. Coffee is excellent most hours (i’ve been in at all hours).
Most important is for me, the balance of the cream cheese flavors. Often they are too loaded or not loaded enough with whatever the selection «scallions», «lox» etc… these are perfect. Even the «Walnut» which is sweet but not too, too… Love this place, miss it and looking forward to my next visit when I visit the ‘rents in Atlantic Beach.
