My wife and I were in the need of an experienced mason to help us evaluate the integrity of a fieldstone basement of a house that we wanted to put an offer on and we only had 24 hours. Richard came highly recommended from a friend so we gave him a call.
He called us right back and very kindly offered to take a look at some pictures of the house to help us determine what we were getting into. He was very open about the amount of work needed and offered much appreciated counsel. I should note that he generously did this without any guarantee of work.

The chimney was crumbling atop my 1930s brick cottage and needed to be repaired prior to the installation of a gas fireplace insert.
I found La Porte Masonry and Waterproofing through Unilocal.Rich returned my initial phone call, promptly, and came by soon after to examine the job. He also took the time to walk around the outside of my house with me and answer questions about my home’s brick façade and upcoming, planned renovations.
I explained that I needed the chimney work done within a short time frame and he actually completed the job ahead of schedule. The price was fair and I found the level of customer service to be outstanding.
