Best breakfast place ever. Fast service usually, low prices but have never had an issue with the food. Always delicious!

There’s nothing better than stumbling upon a place by way of map-search(to meet a friend ½ way in an unfamiliar area) and finding a hidden gem like this! Jackpot! The food was delicious(walnut & mixed greens salad w/cranberry dressing, fish & chips, and a basket of sweet potato fries to share), the service was excellent, and the décor was very cool(look up!) I drove in from Boston and I wouldn’t hesitate taking a weekend drive to visit again.(As an added bonus, Maine’s famous Klem’s is right down the street!)

Average food. Ordered Prime Rib, very little taste. Dessert was Carrot Cake, frozen, similar to what you would purchase from a Supermarket. Restaurant was clean and inviting.

Yummy food, can get a little tight some nights. Great service and cute atmosphere. Could look at the different things hanging around for a long time, very well put together.

We have eaten here multiple times, because the location is convenient to a local tack shop and Klems. However, we will not be back. The service is just terrible, and that had been a problem ever since we started eating there. The last two times we tried EB Flatts, we were waiting at the table(with 2 kids) for more than 20 minutes prior to being greeted. Finally, a waitress I flagged down discovered that we’d been lost in the shuffle and apologized. The second time(a few days prior to this review) we sat for 20 minutes at the table, were NEVER greeted, and left. They have PLENTY of wait staff(we saw at least 5 in the front alone) but just seem not well organized, and definitely grumpy. I asked for akids menu(as we were not given any) and it was basically tossed at me. Sorry, the food is OK, but given the service, we won’t be back.

I had a delicious Reuben sandwich here a few weeks back, tasty enough that I am considering driving all the way back to the boonies to order it again. For $ 8.49 you get a very generously portioned Reuben on grilled marble rye with melted swiss cheese, sauerkraut and 1000 island dressing and your choice of fries, slaw, applesauce or cottage cheese. I got it with fries. The fries — although portioned well– were a bit under seasoned and undercooked — but with a dash of salt– went down fast. My other half ordered a house salad and soup of the day. No complaints from him. The soup he ordered– Mexican fajita — appeared home-made or the very least was a very good imposter. Décor is pretty great– think cottage tavern– with a hint of whimsy. The ceiling beams are decorated with all manner of vintage toys– from a train set, to Mr. Potato Head, to model air planes. EB Flatts has both old school diner seating, and tables. Staff were very friendly and food came out quickly. All and all — great place to grab a quick lunch, on your way to someplace else.

Not a bad place for breakfast. Nice atmosphere and good portions. Eclectic collection of memorabilia including a train that circles above the dining room to keep you interested while sitting in the dining room.

I’ve only been here for breakfast, but I love it every time. The menu is simple with standard breakfast staples, but they do everything well. The restaurant is clean and the staff is always friendly. I can’t say anything bad. I don’t live in the area, but always make it a point to stop in when I drive through town.

The food was average. The waitstaff seemed to be in a bad mood. The place has a weird mix of country and nautical themed décor.

Nice clean restaurant. Slow service but wait staff was pleasant. Baby Back Ribs were very good, way too much to eat in one sitting, was nice to have left overs to take home. Prime Rib was served cold and flavorless. Ordered Medium, was served rare and was cold as if it came out of the fridge. The waitress did bring it back to be heated. Was very disappointed and would not order Prime Rib here again. Salads were fresh and tasty.

Steak tips were over cooked. Asked for medium rare and got very well done. Service was good but waitress did nothing when we mentioned it was way over cooked. For the price and quality would not go back!

I mistakenly reviewed the wrong restaurant. I wa totally pressed that the owner contacted me in concern. That alone warrants five stars even though I didn’t visit the place. Bravo!!!

Very clean restaurant. The wait staff was friendly but not overbearing. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Salad. But requested the chicken grilled instead of fried. The kitchen had no problem with this request. The food was fresh and arrived in short order. The only thing keeping this review from 5 stars was the fact that waitress forgot the appetizer order. Once she realized her mistake it arrived during dinner. So much for an appetizer. I will definitely visit this spot again. Thanks E.B. Flats.

We have been coming here for years! The food is tasty, consistent and always arrives at the table hot and fresh. The servers know us by name and our drinks are brought over without even asking. This is a GREAT place to visit frequently as there are many choices on the menu. My personal favorites are fish and chips, chicken parm and the meatloaf. I have probably eaten every dish on the menu at least once and have never had a dish that I haven’t liked.

The service here was very, very slow although we were having dinner and catching up with friends so we really didn’t mind. I had the steak tips with onion rings. The tips were over cooked and had no flavor. Reminded me of something I would cook at home. Just blah. The onion rings were really good! I had the carrot cake for dessert and it was below average and so cold it seemed to be almost to the point of being partially frozen. We will probably return here if for no other reason than it is conveniently located. Also, they close early! Check their hours before hand.

I’m a «regular». The staff is excellent, the menu is consistently good and the servings are generous. Recently their Seafood Feast(a spring specialty) brought some of the best inland Lobster Rolls that I had in a while. It is one of the few local places with good dark beer options on the menu. Be warned — they only do dinner Thursday through Sunday.

We really liked it here! For an appetizer we tried fried macaroni and cheese bites, which taste exactly how you might think they would. The dipping sauce they came with was awesome! As a North Shore transplant, I was absolutely thrilled to see fried Ipswich clams on the menu so I had those as my main course(and they were good). Fries were nice and crispy — not soggy like many places. The only real issue we had was slow service. It was through no fault of the staff — we had the impression that there weren’t enough people working for a Friday night, so who knows what happened. Still, the food was great and we will definitely be back soon.
