NASTY, NASTY, NASTY. I had a Groupon thru which I had made an appt for color, cut and blow out. I got there on my appt. time at 12:30 pm and checked in. 10 min later I ask the front desk lady about when I would get started, she informs me in about 10 minutes, so I wait another 10 min. 20 min of waiting and I check in again, and she tells me another 10 min, there is only one girl Melissa who does Groupon. After ½ hour of waiting I see that this girl is still coloring the previous, since 11 am, person’s hair. In the meantime, another customer comes in and is taken back. After some talk, the Groupon girl is now washing her hair. I check with the front, I get the same response. Another stylist who was basically tweedling her thumb chimes in saying I could just go to Groupon and get my refund. The owner comes over and asks if I have never had to wait an hour at a doctor’s office? They are a hair salon and run late. At this point I was done — this people have poor customer service, are rude and the owner is a buffoon, equating her strip mall hair salon to a Doctors office and profession. I use Groupon often for hair services and have pleasant experiences in the past at many other salons. Please I urge you all, do not go to Relefections in East Brunswick, NJ. It’s a zero star.

If I could give 0 star, I would. Please stay away from this place, they have the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! Don’t waste your time, I wasted an hour to drive there and all I got was Rudeness, nothing else!

Found this place on Groupon and made an appointment because the deal seemed decently priced — $ 50 for partial highlights, cut and blow dry. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the receptionist. She was very nice. I was then walked over to the lady who would be doing my hair. She seemed incredibly annoyed to have me. I don’t even remember her name or if she even told me what it was. No handshake. Not even a smile.
Throughout the entire process, the lady doing my hair was 100% quiet. No one working at the salon bothered saying anything to me. Everyone walked around as if they hated their job. It was all bad vibes.
As for my hair, it’s not the color I was expecting. It definitely looks a lot darker than it was before. The woman did an amazing job at blowing out and straightening my hair though! However, I will not be going back.

The staff here are very nice. However, cutting hair is something they’re not good at. My aunt asked me if I cut my own hair because it looked so bad. My friends asked me what was wrong with my hair. That’s what I get for going with a groupon I guess. I asked for a layered haircut, which I didn’t think was too difficult. I had to spend more money to go to a different salon to cut my hair again, which I didn’t really wanna do because I wanted my hair to stay long, but Now I have to wait for it to grow again.

Had a great experience here! Bought a Groupon for a cut/​color and was easily able to make an appointment when I wanted to. I got a root touchup and Jen did a wonderful job choosing the exact color I needed. The hair dryer was a bit too hot to sit under, but I left with a great color and cut which was most important to me. I’ll second that the vibe is more of an «old lady» salon, but that didn’t particularly bother me. Reflections is worth checking out!

Tried this place for my first haircut after moving to East Brunswick. Remember that I took an appointment and walked there in my running tights which sparked a conversation about running, and my hairdresser’s recent interest in it. So the conversation was interesting without being put-​on and my haircut was fine — got layers on my shoulder length hair — and the wallet was lighter by around 80 bucks (including a 20% tip). No complaints, but I haven’t been back in 2 years because I found a better place — more affordable, better service, better styling.

I purchased an online deal for a haircut and blow dry for Reflections. I made my appointment for a Saturday morning without any issues. When I walked in, I was a little worried because it seemed to have much older clientele and «old lady salon» popped into my head. Luckily I stayed and I’m glad I did!
Cindy cut my hair and she did a great job. I have long hair and wanted to keep the length, but add some layers for more volume. She did exactly what I wanted and I was very happy. She was also very friendly and gave me a 20% off offer for my next visit, which I plan on using.
Overall, a no-​frills salon that gets the job done!

This is clearly a new place so, keep that in mind. I believe they are still looking for stylists and other staff so they’re not exactly 100% staffed I guess. The woman who works at the front desk is very nice. I had a $ 25 Groupon and I am glad that I decided to go with this place. It is located in a shopping center near a CVS so, it can be a little hard to find if you’re like me and thought it was just on its own lot.
The stylist Melissa I think her name was, did a great job. I had a party to go to that day and I got a lot of compliments on my hair. I got the impression that she was kind if new but everyone has to start somewhere.
In short, this place has a lot of potential. Plus it’s not a chain place so they definitely have kudos for being small business owners. They do a great job and it’s totally wirth it.

An unprofessional salon in every sense of the word, from taking the appointment, to the conduct of the some of the staff, to the actual cut. Where is the owner to be found?
But this not the least of it. At my last cut the stylist seemed out of it. No one should be at work when they are in that state, especially if you are using sharp tools. lt goes without saying, go somewhere, anywhere else.

Despite a disorganized start they provided a great cut & color. We had an appointment for 9:15, and arrived about 9am. The sign said closed, so we called and it went to voicemail. We waiting in the parking lot and around 9:40 say two people waiting by the door we walked over & the man said ‘we don’t open until 10!’ That was a little shocking. When we said who we spoke to on the phone no one knew who that person was! So that wasn’t the greatest start to the appointment. A younger girl provided the cut/​color. She was a little nervous. She did ask for help from another stylist and everything turned out great. She took her time, total time was around 2hrs. It’s a great cut/​color just started off a little disorganized. Would recommend.

Italian grandmother who does blow out’s; no one knew how to use a flat iron; they all sat around drinking dunkin donuts– oh and than there is the rude blonde who shall remain nameless– she was disgustingly rude considering she’s in a customer service business. She was uninterested, didn’t listen to me & left me looking like my 6 year old niece did my hair
Save your money energy & time and go to a professional salon who appreciates your business
