It took me a long time to finally walk through the doors of this local gem, but I am glad I did. Believe all that you’ve heard about the deliciousness of these donuts. We had a Sugar Raised and a Black Raspberry Powdered Jelly. The raised was delicately tender and flavorful, dipped in plenty of granulated sugar. It had a light grease aftertaste, the kind that is fitful. The jelly donut was large and the filling inside generous. It had real fruit filling and not that fake gel that other places use. Now that I’ve tasted these, you can bet I will be back for more. I’m looking forward to trying the cinnamon, Dutch crumble and sour cream cake donuts!

This place is alright, but only compared to the chain doughnut shops that sell prefabricated junk; unfortunately, this place has competition, namely its own West Springfield location where they bake them on site and sell them by the 100(not that the two of us ever buy more than a dozen; alright, almost never!). This location does have old style counter seating, but it doesn’t have the full selection and bustling vibe of its sister store. I can understand why people who live nearby patronize it, but for those of us who are in the car anyway(and driven over 100 miles in our case!) there is simply no reason to stop here when the mother ship is so close by! Sorry Longmeadow Donut Dip, we’re bound for the Springfield Donut Dip.

They have the largest selection of delicious doughnuts I have ever seen! My favorite was the glazed chocolate cake doughnut! The lady was really friendly and patient when we picked out a dozen different doughnuts! The prices are very reasonable!

The donuts at donut dip don’t compare to any donuts I’ve ever had but if you’re going to come to this location be prepared for rude staff or lack of stock. Everytime I order an egg and cheese, I get a sigh or a rude comment. If I want a specific donut, forget it because they dont have it because they all sold out. Save the headache and your craving and go directly to West Springfield. Coffee is good which comes in many different flavors especially the tasty seasonal ones.

My son and I loved the sugar raised! It was super fresh tasting and was much better than any chain-store donut. However, my daughter got the chocolate glazed and thought it was just okay.

Since 1957 Donut Dip has been making old fashioned quality pastries and donuts. They have two locations, one in East Longmeadow, and one in West Springfield. The East Longmeadow location has an old time diner feel to it, full of locals and nostalgia. They have a cult following amongst donut aficionados, who would rather die than eat a Dunkin’ Donut. It’s like a Red Sox vs. Yankees rivalry. Their Pumpkin Cake Donuts are a seasonal favorite, and not to be missed. Impress your co-workers by bringing in a dozen of Donut Dip donuts one morning, and you’ll be the highlight of the day.

As good as their donuts are, their pastries are better. Cheese danish bear claws, & apple fritters are yummy.

Donut dip is an anomaly in the midst of today’s corporate donut chains, they have been at it for over a half century and have learned a thing or two about quality. There are only two locations in the Springfield area which are fairly close to one another so product consistency presents no problem. I appreciate their dedication to customer service, the high quality of their ingredients and the end product which all translate into a very memorable donut experience unlike no other!

I’m sort of a closet donut lover, it is one of those things that out of self defense I have convinced myself I don’t like that much– but I do. I love a good donut. Donut dip has a very consistent product that is delicious and satisfying. There is nothing worse than a bland donut that leaves you wanting more but not in a good way. Their yeasted donuts are the best, I would recommend any of them. Black Raspberry filled is a favorite, honey glazed, and chocolate frosted. I would also highly recommend the coffee cake which is soft, crumbly and flavorful.

Cute lil’ doughnuts made the old-fashioned way, I could scarf down the cake ones all night and all day, The raised doughnuts were also okay, I’d take these pastries over any filet. Tiny little throwback doughnut shop in a convenient location. I ordered half a dozen, and I was really impressed by the cake doughnuts. The glazed chocolate cake doughnut and the coconut cruller melted in my mouth just like any good cake doughnut should. The raised doughnuts weren’t the best I’ve ever had, but still tasty. The chocolate cream doughnut wasn’t loaded up with filling and the cream was a little watery, but the dough itself was great. Good prices, and they had a special doughnut of the day. On the day I went it was blueberry cake.

Pretty thrilled about living around the corner from this place with the exception of requiring additional cardio. I enjoy every donut variety here but especially enjoy an apple fritter or French crueler. The coffee is average but at least better than D&D. They have donut specials each day and have yet to disappoint.

The SO doesn’t agree with me on the relative merits of Donut Dip, but I LOVE this place. I am partial to the Butternut donuts, and the Melt-Aways are great. Whenever I am going north on I-91, I always make a detour to Riverdale Rd. for a donut fix. The coffee is good, and they operate like a well-oiled machine behind the counter: they are quick and competent, which is such a blessed relief from the chain restaurants. I could really do a couple of Butternut donuts right about now!

Donut Dip Inc, could be summed up as YUMMYGOODNESS in a bag! I walked in not expecting much for a local donut shop and walked out amazed! The donuts are to die for. They are crispy and fresh and OHSOGOOD! I had a cinnabon, like donut which was amazing. And half of an apple strudel donut, also amazing. I took some to go and wanted to eat them as my breakfast the next day,(yes I know very unhealthy but they were oh sooo good) however the next day the donuts were hard as a rock. I warmed them up for 15 seconds and then the yummy goodness returned. If you’re craving donuts, look no further!
