Taco Bell

I understand that this is a fast food restraunt and i shouldn’t expect much, but my order was twelve tacos, which were six soft and six hard. The soft tacos were not even wrapped right while the hard shells were all broken. I cannot give any grades on service, for I ordered through the drivethrough.

I don’t have a problem with the food or customer service here. It’s the atmosphere! I feel uncomfortable and unsafe here. There’s always druggies, thugs, or homeless people here. Hey I’m from East La it’s not new to me but it’s really not cool when you’re trying to eat in piece and there’s people that you may look at the wrong way or someone coming up to you asking for money or trying to sell you something. I don’t know why I keep going back?! I better stick to one on Cesar Chavez by Elac!

I asked for mild sauce, and I’m told they are out of them. I’m standing right in front of the cashier and I can see the big stash of mild sauce packets in the drive thru window. Really? Does drive thru have a bigger priority over mild sauce than walk in customers? Also, when I walked up to the counter the manager comes up and says «yes»? Lol. Such a courteous and friendly place to eat.

Girl working the cash register had a good attitude, but it took me 30 minutes to get my pizza combo! Could have gone to any other pizza place and actually gotten my pizza a lot faster than at Taco Bell! And to top it off girl sees me there just sitting and does not care to do something about me getting my food any faster!
The only good thing about this Taco Bell trip was that I went during happy hour and got a baja blast freeze for $ 1.

This Taco Bell gets a bad review for a couple reasons. I realize it is a Taco Bell in East L.A. … but how many times can I say NO CHEESE and end up with melted cheap cheese over and over again.
The drive-​thru speaker is broken and the cashier mentioned that management won’t fix it, so you have to wait to repeat your order at the window or deal with the wrong items.
Bonus* you occasionally have to deal with a police checkpoint half a block down on Whittier.
The kid working the register seems nice but frustrated. I don’t blame him.

There are two things I am certain of, my hatred of Monday mornings and my dislike for Taco Bell. That was until this last Monday April 7. I went through the drive-​thru around 10 am. The lady who helped me out changed my whole outlook on life! I ordered the AM Cruchwrap which is the only thing I’ll eat at Taco Bell. She started off by saying something along the lines of «How can I start your morning off right?». I melted! I pulled up the window and asked her if that saying was her own doing or required by Taco Bell. I can’t remember her answer but I haven’t heard it since that day by any other employee. She asked me if I wanted salsa and I said no and she called me a wussy!!! I thought it was the funniest thing! That type of service is what big chain restaurants need! She was so personable and in such a good mood! Again, I am not a Monday morning person so this was a welcome change. I’m so sad I haven’t seen her since or got her name. I would love to call management and tell then how awesome she is. –1 star just because it’s still Taco Bell and even a saint like her can’t fix that.

Now, I’m quick to post a review if I received bad service. Well, this is the opposite. This is place gets a «thumbs up» in customer service.
I came in and ordered one of the new chicken bowls. It came with a drink, chips and salsa. I asked for pico de gallo. When I got back to work, to my horror I found a had a big cup of guacamole for my chips and guacamole on my bowl. Ewe. Hate guacamole. So I called and spoke with the manager. He said come back and we’ll fix it for you. So, the next day I went back during lunch expecting to get free chips and salsa or something small like that. Instead I got a new chicken bowl AND chips with pico de gallo! Wow, I was very happy. The chicken bowl itself taste OK. I do prefer El Pollo Loco’s bowls which is the only reason why I didn’t give 5 stars. But it was still tasty and I appreciate the service. This is my go to Taco Bell!
