Ok so being a taco enthusiast and growing up with all the taqueros around East LA it’s fair to say I’m highly critical when it comes to tacos. So my friend Mario tells me about his favorite taco spot in ELA so today I happened to drive by and give them a try. This is a mom and daughter run spot which is cool the mom has her son outside selling candies for his school clothes which I thought I had to participate in! After buying a candy it’s time to focus on some tacos I ordered Asada, Pastor, and Tripas. Now anyone who’s hip will tell you the key to a good tripa taco is knowing it’s mostly about texture get them just crispy enough but don’t over do it! So when I ordered the young lady asked me if I would like them crispy? Wow I’ve never been asked that before very cool! «Yes I would thank you»… Ok so the Tripas were excellent pastor was ok Asada was good, my only critique would be I wish the salsa had more flavor I mean this family was so nice and welcoming I wanted to love this place, tortillas made by hand and perfectly cooked Tripas … Are you kidding me!!! I should be dancing and eating at the same time this is the way God wants you to eat your Tripas ladies and gentlemen. I only wish they would put a little more of that love into they’re salsa. All that said I’m not complaining at all, I leave Tacos La Reyna a happy man and will definitely be back for more Tripas in the near future and so should you my friends!
