Speno Park in East Meadow is pretty big park that has a lot to offer. There is a great little playground for toddlers and kids. They have a baseball field, handball courts and basketball courts. They also have a desk where you can rent sports equipment. Next to the desk they have rest rooms. There is also a large field to a lot of other sports. On Saturdays the East Meadow Soccer Club has all ages playing soccer on several different fields. There is also a decent sized parking lot at the entrance.

Speno Memorial Park is located in East Meadows. Very large park, decent sized, free parking lot, plenty of grassy areas. with a children’s play area, a large basketball court and various half-​courts.
It’s also a very popular park for American handball players. as it’s courts are well-​maintained with relatively smooth surfaces that are optimal for playing aggressively without worrying about getting injured. Also, at night time, there are lights that illuminate both sides of the handball courts, which makes Speno Park a great venue to host tournaments!
I discovered this park while in college, in neighboring Jericho. As an avid handballer, I would come here as an alternative, to my usual parks in Fresh Meadows or Flushing, Queens. There are some solid handball players here. Overall, a fun park and great location for everyone.
