Wish this could be ZERO stars, who what why??? This is absolutely the most disgusting Sephora ever in the history of Sephora’s. Employees are not knowledgable about products, very stand offish, blatantly ignoring customers and not up to par with the Sephora policies and insider quality. If you like being ignored for an hour, nothing in stock and I mean not even samples in stock then this is the place for you, if not I urge you to please visit the downtown brooklyn location which always have friendly associates who are willing to go above and beyond. What a disappointment at this location. Absolute waste !!!

After calling multiple Sephora locations for an appointment I finally got one at this location and I was beyond pleased! I arrived earlier than my appointment just to get a sense of the atmosphere before having the makeover and the staff were so friendly. Eventually a woman told me that Janine would be doing my makeover and that I should just give her a few minutes to finish up with a sale. I waited and Janine greeted me in such a friendly manner, asked what I wanted and I told her«red lips, gold, glittery eyes» and she hooked it up. Throughout the makeover we chatted, she explained to me what she was doing, she did a BEAUTIFUL smokey eye for me, the entire makeover was gorgeous. I had so much fun having the makeover done and loved the look at the end, it was a double win for me. I’ll definitely make my future makeover appointments at this Sephora location.

I visited this sephora today for a lipstick, already knew the brand and what type of color. The lipsticks on display were really nasty! I barley even wanted to swatch on my hand and after I did I was sure to use makeup remover. Then after choosing a color I went to look for one in the box, well there was another mess all the colors were mixed up not in order! So I move on to another type of lipstick, swatch and when I go to get one in the box there was none left!

It unfortunate I have to write a bad review for this Sephora because of one person: Cindy, the manager at the time when I visited the store on October 9th at 5pm. I’ve been to this Sephora location 3 times before that time to get a Mini Makeover as this is one of the perks of being a VIB member. All those 3 times I was greeted by all very friendly associates. All 3 times I walked in without an appointment to get a smoky eye. I was very satisfied. However, the last time I stepped into that Sephora, it was my worst experience. First, the manager Cindy, said she didn’t know if anyone could do a mini makeover on me because there was an appointment coming in at 5pm. So I had to wait 7 minutes to see whether or not she could accommodate me. Ok. So I waited. I waited 10 minutes in fact and then I decided to ask if I will be serviced. She replied with an ”Are you ready?”. Um yes, I was ready! Then she proceeded to tell me that the associate would be doing one eye and that I would be doing the other eye. Soooo since I had been there before I was confused and asked why that was. Why for all 3 times before had I been provided with 2 identically beautiful smoky eyes but now I only get one? Isn’t the reason I’m here requesting a mini makeover mean that I suck at doing my eye makeup and quite frankly don’t want to learn? Can’t I just be pampered? Isn’t that one of the reasons why Sephora set this VIB member perk? Well, according to her — Nope, this was company policy. You get ONE eye. So ok, since I needed to go to an event I thought I’d give it a try. The associate(whom did not introduce herself) began her process. However she said she would be stopping every 3 steps so that I can do the other eye. After 3 steps, she gave me instructions then left to roam around the store. If I had a question or if I was doing it wrong, how would she have known? Didn’t matter apparently. She came back after 3 mins. I timed her the whole time I was there. Then she continued and then she left. That occurred about 4 times. The last time she left for more than 5 minutes. Which, if you do the math, is more than 15 minutes. So in the time that she could have done both eyes in 15 minutes she hadn’t finished one eye. I left after the last 5 minutes were up. I just walked out. Both the manager, CINDY, and the associate should be either trained correctly or fired. It a damn shame they’re in the customer service industry. I’ll be reaching out to Sephora to advise them of this incident in hopes they are aware of what a mockery they are making the mini makeovers. I recently visited another Sephora in Smithtown, Long Island and decided to ask THEM of the mini makeover policy. Maybe this is managed by store? I was told I should be getting TWO eyes for the mini makeover not one.

Don’t judge me based on my next comment. The first time I came to this location I looked for a dark-skin employee who could help me find lipstick shades for my dark skin tone. I wanted to see what she was wearing and what she would say complimented my tone(as I am new to make up and still trynna figure out what I like and don’t like). The young lady who helped me was very nice, knowledgable and patient with my questions as well as, seeing what I liked and didn’t like. When I went the second time I looked for the same young lady and lucky me she was there to help me. I don’t remember her name but next time I go I will be sure to ask so that I can update this review. Plus her make-up is always nice and looks natural without looking over the top. She uses lip colors that compliment dark skin well(I wouldn’t try them because as I said I am new to this, but hopefully I will start to venture out more).

Came here for stila liquid liner and they had it. Be warned that this Sephora is not a stand alone store but inside JCpenney. Pretty small but no lines whatsoever

I’ve been to this sephora a few times thinking it would be better than my last experience here but it’s not. For me, they never have the shade, scent or item I’m looking for. The girls who work here could be friendly which is nice, but not knowledgeable about the products they sell. I’ve asked them several questions about skincare, shades and other items and they seem so clueless. I’ve been to other sephora stores where the employees know the products they sell in and out and could give you some reviews and recommendations but saddly not here. It’s my birthday, so I came to shop and pick up my free gift as well. They didn’t have any free gifts available so I had to settle for the free lipstick I didn’t want. This will be my last time going here. I’ll go to the one in Queens instead.
