Love this place. Terrific beer selection. Always an interesting selection of food that is surprisingly good for a local bar. Every time we come here, we say we should come more often

My girl & I love this place. The beer selection is fantastic, they mix in a lot of varieties of microbrews and also carry locals too. The food is outstanding, it’s our go to place for a beer, a bite & a game.

the Lark. Don’t let the secret out– the bartenders are awesome, the food is outstanding and the beer menu is ridiculous — in a good way. The stuffed grilled cheese(braised short rib on Texas toast), can I say more? Steak and manchego mac n cheese? Rice balls? Even the side salad is great. Really good atmosphere. Not pretentious. Folks of all age ranges. They even have their own parking lot. Can you tell I’m a fan?

Fantastic beer selections on draft. Appetizers of interest: beef nachos and mashed potato egg rolls(carbo-liscious). Entrée selection was Cuban Quesadilla with pulled pork, pickles, cheese and salsa. It’s pub food, right? Sensible could be possible, but it was the path not taken. If you like rotating taps, this is a good choice. By the way, lunch is also reasonable… bar burger with side salad at $ 5.99 and a $ 4 tap… and they have parking adjacent.

The food is great, amazing Mac and cheese and buffalo chicken pizza. The fryer was broken so didn’t have any fry food. John is a great Chief, Bryan a great bartender, good combo since equipment in kitchen wasn’t working. Was a Sunday night don’t know the normal atmosphere

This place has an excellent beer selection. The egg roll selection was interesting so we ordered both the Thanksgiving egg rolls and the mashed potato egg rolls. The Thanksgiving egg rolls were good, but the mashed potato ones came out much later and were obviously made with out of the box mashed potato. I would have rather they tell me they were out of the egg rolls than serve those. Unless they always make them out of the box which is bad. The burger was pretty good and a great value at $ 6 on Mondays. It is rather crowded in there, and the beers are somewhat expensive for the snifter pours you end up getting with many of them. But good beer costs money. So I am OK with that. Would be 4 stars if it were not for the inconsistent food.

I went to the lark with my girl for dinner before we went to the planetarium. We arrived on a Saturday night around 6:30 and they were on a wait. Not a huge seating area so we found a spot and the bar and ate there. Food: We had the buffalo wings. They were wings not the best not the worst. The sauce was hot but not too hot. I enjoy hot and my girl doesn’t so basically everyone’s happy. The three pennies– basically it’s 3 sliders with a pickle, cheese, and«lark sauce». Mine didn’t have any sauce on them(they forgot it). They were average nothing special. Fries were very good. Mac and cheese with broccoli– my girlfriend got this and I would say I should have followed her lead. It was so good not too cheesy probably had some pesto in it. Really good I was impressed. BEER and drinks: They had over 15 beers on tap and also another 15 bottled. I had an ipa to start. Through the night we had jack and Coke which was perfect. On top of that they have drink specials so I had a Arnold Palmer. It was iced tea vodka and pink lemonade. REALLYGOOD. SERVICE: They bartenders were working their ass’s off. They always provided a well made drink and kept your glass full. Food takes awhile but I walked past he kitchen and it’s really small. Not a big deal because the bar is roomy and there plenty to drink. APPEARANCE: It’s a long bar with a few tables against the wall. There is Room for everyone but we were there during the wildcard game and I wouldn’t eat there at a table because it was totally packed. The bar is clean they were constantly cleaning the bar too and the wells. I appreciate that a lot and it seems like a local spot. 4.5 stars because my food was slow and not right but other than that I really enjoyed the night.

Beware! Horrible food to say the least. The Nacho platter was supposed to be «homemade nachos»… There was nothing homeade about it as I could get better circular nachos at 7 – 11. The wings were very dry and the Calamari was not fresh at all.

I am quite conflicted about my impressions of this place, and truly struggled between giving 3 or 4 stars. I’ve been living in East Northport for less than two weeks and guess what? I’ve already been here 3 times. All 3 times were quite different and I will explain them all in detail. The first time I came in was at 12:20AM on a Tuesday… I suppose the first important piece of information that you can’t get from Unilocal,Google, or even The Lark’s own Facebook page is what time they are REALLY open until. It is not 4AM. Quite unfortunate for me since I work until 12AM and was hoping for an adequate after work replacement for The Black Sheep, which I no longer live near. Unfortunately, it seems this place won’t be it. The bar tenders were not friendly, and honestly everyone seemed like they just wanted to go home. There were 6 – 8 patrons in the bar at this time. At 12:50 we were informed that this would be last call. If this place were open later I’m sure I would have been here at least 5 times already. Major bummer for me. They should really change their hours on the site. The second time I came in around the same time on a Friday. This time there was about 20 people inside around this time. At a little after 1AM, I counted literally 4 groups of people signing their checks, and by a little before 1:15 there was only a handful of people left. Apparently the Lark closes early on Friday’s too? Didn’t feel forced out this time at least. The bar tender on this night was much friendlier. However there was an issue. They had Pater 6 on tap, but it was not Pater 6. Pater 6 is a Dubbel, and is thus dark, what was poured was either St. Bernardus Tripel or Extra 4. I informed the bar tender who said she doesn’t know much about beer, which is okay, and had me speak with someone else and the dude had a total«so what?» attitude. He literally he said«it could be the wrong beer. That was the sticker on the keg.» I believe that the mistake could’ve happened from the brewery, but if it is pointed out that the product is labeled incorrectly, it should be fixed. I wasn’t rude about it, nor did I ask for one(though I was offered it). I love every St. Bernardus beer fortunately. It should be noted it’s STILL labeled as Pater 6 on BeerMenus and inside the establishment. I cannot understand how that is acceptable. If I didn’t come back the following Saturday afternoon, I’d undoubtedly be giving this place 2 or 3 stars right now, but there was redemption. On Saturday afternoon, the service was great, though a little slow, because there was only one server and it was pretty busy. The outdoor patio is really nice and the food is freakin’ phenomenal. Seriously some of the best I’ve had on Long Island. I came with a group of 8 and everyone loved it. Oh, except the nachos. Those were truly mediocre. Everything else I could go on and on about. Aside from the experiential stuff, the beer selection appears to be consistently great, I think the use of BeerMenus is a huge plus, and I like the fact that they even sell food in the first place. I wish the hours were as stated and worked better for me, and I think there is a lot of room for improvement with the late-night staff. Other than these admittedly pretty annoying grievances I think I will ultimately wind up enjoying this bar many times if my schedule ever changes.

Really wish I’d tried this place when I lived here. Great low key pub atmosphere, lots of off street parking. They have a nice patio out back, but the day was hot enough to warrant sitting inside with the air conditioning. Several of the specials looked good, but we were there to try their burgers. They don’t have the build your own burger on the menu, but the server mentioned it. It would have been helpful to have a list of the toppings they had available, but we managed. The burgers were cooked to perfection, with a good portion of toppings and a special bun they get from a small bakery in Huntington. The fries were also amazing, and everything was served hot. The service was great… friendly, helpful and fast. Prices are very reasonable. If you like beer, they have LOADS of it on tap, some of it local brew. They also have a beer club. No idea what that entails, as I don’t drink beer. Apparently if you drink enough of it, you get a gold plaque on the wall with your name on it.

Thanksgiving egg rolls. THEEEND. I had been seeing this place on Unilocal and wanted to try it and once I saw the thanksgiving egg rolls I was like we’re leaving in five minutes … Tgivsss is my favorite holiday and these egg rolls were like a thanksgiving day parade in my mouth! I really loved them. Especially with my beer flight(swag was the best one mmMmmm). I def wanna try their philly cheese steak egg rolls too, they’re prob another win… Went there a few nights ago w my buddy and we were so excited Bc pics show that they have an awesome patio, unfortunately it was closed when we went there which sucks Bc it was such a nice night. I got over it. We ordered two flights w various beers and they were all really good, swag being my favorite(of course, lol)… Nosh nosh were the thanksgiving egg rolls and this delicious buffalo chicken dip. Now I’ve had this a few places and it’s been mediocre at best but let me tell you… The buff chix dip here was so good! The chicken pieces were finely chopped and mixed together perfectly with buffalo sauce and blue cheese. It was like the perfect marriage in a dip. 2 flights and the nom noms were $ 27. So cheap. I would def come back here. It’s not that big inside but I can see myself hanging here with a few buds sipping on some hoppy brews

This is the fourth time I’ve been to the lark in 2 weeks. New resident to the neighborhood and I have officially found my local spot. What got me here in the first place was my searching for a local craft beer place, boy am I not disappointed! 26 crafts on tap, rotating often, and pours perfect without waste. So far the bartenders have been very cool and helpful. The selection is great, some local standards and some not so familiar, makes for great untapping! I’ve had a few apps like the calamari which is spicy and crunchy and delicious. The flat bread pizzas are thin and flavorful. But today I ordered the lark burger and I couldn’t be any happier. I order medium and it’s cooked perfectly, plus the burger is a great size and tastes so good, actually what caused me to write this review. Cheers Lark, thanks for being my new local favorite!

Chili!!! I love chili! So surprisingly good with nice large chunks of steak. Delicious and with chips in a nice hot cast iron pot. Went here on a Wednesday night for trivia, which was randomly cancelled(4 stars right there, sorry guys… there really wasn’t any advance warning about this and we checked with you all that day before we brought our group). BUT, you definitely redeemed yourselves with a nice beer selection AND the fact that you can do a cheap flight. Parking right out front, and less than 10 minutes from home? I’m totally down to go again. The only other problem is that it IS a bit cramped for space if you bring a group and wanna sit at a table. I’m not sure if you can reserve, but I’d try that. All of the food was really pretty good and I would give it a go! Not a dive, it’s actually a really cute location… other’s have mentioned the price, but I didn’t think it was anything out of the ordinary and pretty on par for the location. Chili cookoff this weekend!!!

Totally enjoyed the Lark Pub. Love the name. Stopped in around 1:30 in the afternoon on a Monday and there was plenty of parking in the private lot, four other people at the bar and six or so others sitting at tables. They have about 7 tables which seat 4 people each and have seating for about 14 or so at the bar. Decent standing room but they could use more space for tables IMO. They only had one bartender working, understandable considering it was a Monday afternoon, but they needed someone else. We found ourselves waiting a tad bit longer than we had hoped for drinks and the food took quite some time to come out as well. No biggie though because we were completely digging the awesome indie rock music they were playing, the friendly crowd and each other! Overall, the experience was great. The pub is really clean and new looking inside. Restrooms VERY clean. The place is cozy, the perfect spot to hang for hours on end meeting up with old friends and just chillin’ out with some good beer. Their bottle list is impressive and they had about twelve options on tap, listed on a chalkboard with their ABVs. I inquired about a couple beers with the bartender but she was unsure about some. She did however, give us a taste of whichever beer we wanted to try which I thought was VERY helpful and generous. Their glasses are funky, loved them. They still had Southern Tier Pum King on tap and I was like, Hello, it’s December. Southern Tier beer is the easiest sell on earth so I didn’t think it was a leftover Keg situation, therefore it felt a little out of season for me. We started with the Kuka blonde, which I highly recommend, no hops, easy drinking, sweet flavor with a surprisingly high ABV. Was $ 7, average price. My friend got the Breckenridge Mango Pale Ale next, I’d skip that. It wasn’t good; had a nice aroma but a bitter after taste that we didn’t enjoy. They have a link on their webpage where people can e-mail the restaurant and request a beer. VERY considerate. Their website is also up to date which is convenient and rare these days! Food menu looked pretty good, was difficult to make a choice. We ended up going with the Northern State sandwich and the Big Philly sandwich. Both came with either fries, salad or sweet potato fries, we chose salads and waited for the bartender to ask us what kind of dressing we wanted; she didn’t, so I asked for balsamic. I was expecting some iceberg lettuce with a cucumber and shredded carrot here or there but instead, we got some seriously delicious romaine and mixed greens topped with cherry tomatoes, walnuts and goat cheese… WHAT? Delicious. The balsamic vinaigrette on the side was fab. My sandwich was just alright, nothing spectacular, but very edible and hit the spot. It came with a toasted roll with pesto aioli, just the appropriate amount, juicy grilled chicken with some mozzarella cheese and tomato on top. My friends Big Philly sandwich was stupid good. It looked like cheesy steak goodness and was huge. She loved it. It was served on a hero with jalapeño cheddar cheese drizzle… so bad… but so good. Three beers each and two meals, bill came to $ 66. I’ll take it. They have lunch specials for $ 6 during the week from 12 – 3 and happy hour specials as well. Will definitely be back!

The Lark has quickly risen as one of my favorite establishments on the island. Sitting somewhere between«bar» and«gastropub», it can be quite a versatile place. My first experience was actually derived from Unilocal; I was looking for a place with outside seating to grab a drink prior to a dinner reservation elsewhere. Upon seeing the menu, I immediately wanted to come back and actually eat something; but when faced with such a multitude of fried goodness and having a wife who is as health conscious as mine, that takes some convincing. So after experiencing this place only for it’s nice selection of draft crafts and it’s outside seating, once the weather turned«comfort-food» cold I was able to sample some of the food. We had a winner! The Lark has a creative and thoughtful menu, and even some of it is actually not that unhealthy. I personally love the Thanksgiving Egg Rolls. Great wings too! I’ve heard good things about various items off the mac-and-cheese menu(that in itself is awesome, that there’s a section of the menu dedicated to mac-and-cheese). And even though you’re sitting along Larkfield Road with not much of a back-drop, they’ve still made it a nice place to chill outdoors when the weather complies. I think there was even a nice afternoon in late October when we enjoyed some pints out there. The weekday $ 5.99 lunch specials rock too, it’s cheaper than going to Panera Bread or whatever dumbass place you’d think of going when your corporate masters let you out of the building for 60 minutes.(And, you can sneak in a craft beer for just four bucks. Four bucks!)
