Pathmark

My least favorite store. Ok sales, but the frozen items are frequently thawed, then refrozen. Returned ice cream almost every time.

Before and during this hurricane this store helped the community by staying open anddonating many needed items thru the east rockaway fire dept… to all who truly needed it… with no power and in full clean up mode to get the store open for its neighborhood customers I say bravo!!!

one of the worst run supermarkets in the east coast if the sale items are not on the shelf good luck getting them, once i asked a manager about a sale item he told me i could replace it with another brand, the cashier had me wait 15 mins while he asked all other cashiers instead of asking the manager (clueless) the clerks could care less about customer service if you ask a question you get a look of «how dare you interrupt me» needless to say they are in bad finical difficulty and it’s no surprise why ! maybe they will turn things around before it’s to late. the parent company A&P and their waldbaum chain is no better, honestly i’d rather pay a few bucks more at stop & shop where the clerks are willing to help and smile than have to deal with path mark

The big thing I get here are the specials. Lowest prices around.

Half of the employees at this Pathmark seem to really want to help the customers, the other half could care less, and it shows.
The only reason to visit this store is that they often run sales that blow away the other nearby supermarkets. That’s why I gave them two stars and not one star.
The lines at times can be very long. The automated checkout lines are constantly breaking down, and are badly flawed.

Worst Supermarket Ever?
No. I think the Waldbaums up on Sunrise Highway is just SLIGHTLY worse. That being said, this place is always absurdly crowded whenever I try to go, and the people shopping always seem to be super-​rude, and block the aisles with their carts while they absent-​mindedly browse.
Would only shop here if I LITERALLY had no other alternative. Since I do, I don’t. Yuck.

They have plenty of items on sale and use coupons. The sales people are polite and helpful. You do not have to wait on line for a very long time.
