Ploi Thai used to be my go-to Thai restaurant in the area. I always enjoyed their lunch specials, which was a great deal — a veggie spring roll, lemongrass soup, and a meal. It was great! But now, they are under new management and they no longer have that special, which is really disappointing. You can also tell the food has changed, and unfortunately, not for the better. The lemongrass soup is still there and I order it with chicken. It’s flavorful and has some great spice to it(you can order it mild, medium, or hot). I think that’s really the only thing that’s «better» since new management and I’ll probably only go there for the soup. The spring rolls aren’t that great, and a bit mushy at times. Also, my usual dish, pad see ew, is just not hitting the mark. The noodles are mushy as well and there isn’t much spice to it. I do enjoy ordering their Thai iced tea, you really can’t go wrong there. But, I have made the mistake of ordering bubble tea and it was just an unpleasant experience. The service is always attentive and friendly, and of course I always appreciate that. If I’m ever feeling under the weather, or in need of soup, I will definitely hit up Ploi Thai for their chicken lemongrass soup. Otherwise, I think it’s time for me to find a new Thai restaurant in town.

Food was good, every time I go to a Thai restaurant I always get massaman chicken, it is my favorite dish. I order it in ploi Thai restaurant and it was yummy, I had spring rolls and puff pastry filled with curry chicken and it was delicious. Oh and I had the Thai ice teayummmmm

solid thai spot, i come in for lunch every now and then and the food never disappoints. pad thai, pad see eu, curries, chicken, pork dishes are all great. the appetizer sampler is a great one to share with a group, especially the curry puffs. i think this place has changed ownership or management several times in the past year. every time i come there is a different lunch menu. they used to offer a small appetizer and entrée as a lunch special, but that is no longer an option. i wish they would. its also often times very cold in the restaurant, resulting in a very uncomfortable environment. strangely enough, as it’s gotten colder, the restaurant started to be warmer on a more consistent basis. guess they’re still trying to figure out the best temp. plenty of parking between the lot and street

New management have really gone from bad to worse. If someone gave this to me and said it was Thai food. I would call them unmentionable names and say it’s the worst fast food Chinese I’ve ever had. I’m no food critic but it’s a bland gelatinous mess with tofu fried to an unrecognizable shape, texture, and taste. Buyer beware.

This is my second time eating here. Both times I went around dinner time and place was completely empty. Maybe this place isn’t so popular but the food is pretty good! Apparently there are new managers but not sure how different it is from how the previous owners had it. I ordered the Pad Thai and it’s pretty good. No complaints. The Thai iced tea was pretty good too. The service was friendly and its a cute little place. Not expensive either. Pad Thai was $ 10.95. Not the best Thai I’ve ever had but would recommend trying it out :)

There is new mgmt. that took over this place. The old owners were much better with tastier entries. Basic pad thai was off mark from the old one. I feel bad now because the old mgmt. chef used to make better food and now they are gone.

I want to start off by saying I absolutely love Thai food and get it whenever I can. A group of friends and I wanted to get some a few nights ago and thought we could try this place out. There is Red Basil I believe it is called just a few minutes away in East Rutherford as well but since I had already been there, we wanted to go somewhere else. Walking in, the place looked nice and it was fairly quiet. We sat down and looked over the menu. I always get the same thing everywhere I go, either the Lad Nah or the Pad See Ew so I decided to go for the beef Lad Nah. My friends all ordered soups and appetizers as well. Those were okay, nothing too great. Then our entrees started coming out. There were 4 of us, two people got their entrees first so my other friend and I kept waiting. They were halfway done with their food before I finally got mine. We ordered two sticky rice to come with our meal as well, but that didn’t come out yet. By the time the last person got their food, two of us were done eating and I was having a hard time finishing mine because it was way too salty. When the waitress comes over and brings the last dish, she said that our two sticky rice will be right out. At this point, my friend already finished her meal and didn’t want it anymore so I said to just give it to me when it gets brought out. The last dish was supposed to be made hot, but there was no spice in it whatsoever. Not only that, we couldn’t flag down the waitress at all to ask for more water. She had two other tables so we just waited and waited. Really not a good experience here. I know many people have given this place a good review but I just don’t see it unfortunately. The food wasn’t worth it to be honest and I’ll stick to Wondee in Hackensack.

I don’t know why there are so many poor reviews on this place. It’s our go-to Thai place in the area. The food is never greasy and always fresh. We get delivery so I can’t speak to their restaurant from experience. Delivery is always fast and the food is consistently steaming hot. Def a good place!

*There is plenty of parking in the back!* Beutifully decorated restaurant, with some thai statues and artwork everywhere! It was such a cute place! One of my fave things about this place was the fact that they had a seperate menu just for vegetarians – makes things easy people! Vegetarian Curry puffs were amazing! for $ 5 you get 4 plump-home made lil puffs. but they were sweet and hit the spot. My vegetarian panang curry looked greasy at first, but tasted amazing, This is only my 2nd time having it. The thing i was let down about was the portion size, wish it could have been bigger. My friends enjoyed their dumplings, and pad thai(my friend didnt like the tofu in it tho) but otherwise everything hit the spot!

This place is decent for a small town with not much of a selection of takeout. The only problem I have with this place is their inconsistency when it comes to delivery. The food is never the same as the first time it was ordered… Delivery guy is efficient though! They do however come back if they screwed up.

Love Ploi Thai, typically order pick up for dinner. They are always friendly and the food is great. Drunken noodles with shrimp! And the coconut lemongrass soup is yummy.

This is probably the worst take out I have had in my life. The pad thai was disgusting. Literally had two pieces of dry chicken and had no sauce on the dish. Please avoid this place.

I’ve been coming here more often for obvious reasons — food and location. It’s an 8 minute drive for me, you can’t beat that. And they have parking. Winning! Their pad Thai, pad see iw, and lad nar are all solid choices for entrees. We always get their mussamun curry with the bread on the side. So damn good! And of course you can’t go to any Thai place without getting a Thai iced tea!!! This is our new Thai place until further notice.

Not very great. Ok food. Ordered vegetarian samosa for appetizer. It was ok. Red curry for main course was also ok. Not too good. Bankok garden in Hackensack is much better.

After living around the corner from this restaurant for over a year, I really regret not coming here sooner. My husband and I had chicken curry & roti to start. My husband had green curry with with rice.(FYI: when they say hot they mean HOT!!!) I had seafood drunken noodles(I chose mild because I wanted to enjoy my meal :)) everything was perfect! No complaints here. Only thing we found weird was the fact that the restaurant was pretty empty. Nicely decorated and cozy. We were able to use the 10% off for checking in which was a plus!

Ploi Thai seems to be campaigning hard on so I decided to take advantage of the $ 20 dollar deal that allows two customers to have one appetizer, soup or salad, plus two entrées up to $ 16 dollars. We came out pretty decent with the deal. We started with the spring roll appetizer that came with 4 rolls. They were filled with vegetables and had a lightly crisped shell. The garlic dumplings were also sizable and quite tasty. My drunken noodles with seafood was decent, but the squid was slightly rubbery. I wish it simply had the shrimp in it only. Overall though the dish was spiced well, balancing between too spicy and not enough spice. I really like the atmosphere which felt so cozy! Using the groupon deal a couple or a group of friends can certainly have an enjoyable night out with decent food at a great price at Ploi Thai.
