My family and I enjoyed our three-night stay here. Check in was easy. The staff was nice. The room was very clean. The breakfast bar was great. There was plenty of parking available. And the price was very reasonable as compared to hotels in NYC. We would definitely stay here again!

I travel through the year and have spent alot of time in hotels. I booked a room here thinking the location would be a better fit for my stay than the pricey hotels in NY. When I arrived I settled into the space and made myself comfortable. Unfortunately, the hotel management took objection to my arrangement. Im not going to get into detail about the situation as its irrelevant. My objection was to the manner in which the staff, specifically the GM, handled the matter. I have never had anyone in the hospitality industry argue with me before this manager. Moreover, she brought another person to the hotel and they both raised their voice with me! I closed my encounter by saying«I guess I picked the wrong hotel» to which she replied«yes you did». Bottomline, the hotel could not accommodate my stay, the only one thus far across the whole country, but after it was clear I had to move on she would not offer a late check-out or other remediation. I was forced to stay the night before relocating.

Stayed here not for a giants/jets game and was pleased with the new property and the staff. The breakfast was good and the rooms were large and exactly what you want for a residence inn. The street/road noise was negligible and the location wasn’t bad, albeit kind of on an abandoned seeming street. However, the walls were very thin and luckily no one was making much noise or it could have been bad. The pictures online showed fireplaces in the rooms but we definitely didn’t have that. Prices were a bit high in my opinion. I would have gone for the Fairfield for almost half the price. Also, pulled back the covers to find a bloody band-aid stuck to the sheets. Worst part is that it was so late and we were completely unpacked so we turned them around and passed out. Does that mean the sheets weren’t washed? It was the maid’s bandaid? Are we just as gross for going to sleep anyways? Why did I bury the lead like this? How many stars do I knock it down for this egregious mistake? So many questions, so little answers. I had originally put 3 stars just because of how nicely updated the actual hotel is but decided to knock it down due to some other problems besides the band-aid. The toilet barely flushed and was annoying all weekend. The drain in the shower kept being clogged as well. It’s like they forgot to remodel the bathroom. The location was also so isolated and weird that I ended up not being a fan at all. Breakfast was not consistent over the couple days either.

I have stayed at a number of extended stay hotels in the North East NJ area, and this is the best one yet. The rate includes breakfast, and on Mon-Thurs, a Mgr reception with hot food. Because of this, a large number of consultants stay here regularly because it saves on food bills. Last night we had a salad which had orange slices in it, rice, and a choice of Vegetable, Pork, or Buffalo Chicken Egg Rolls(they were yum), wine, soda, water, and cake/cookies for desert. Not bad for Free! The hotel is very new, so it gorgeous– the rooms are amazing. I have a double suite which includes a full kitchen– even an oven. The hotel has a heated pool and spa, along with an exercise room. The only downside I have found so far is that there is no shuttle service offered, however, they have a relationship with AAAGiants Taxi service, which has been very professional and on time every time I have had to use them.

So you decide to venture to the Meadowlands in East Rutherford, New Jersey for a game, show, or Bamboozle. Where to stay? Like hotels everywhere, that kind of depends on your priorities. If price isn’t a priority, the Residence Inn is definitely the place to go out of the area Meadowlands hotels. The rooms are nice. Granted, they’re about $ 199 per night, but it may well be worth it if you’re only there for one night and you’re taking your significant other out to that show or game. My boyfriend and I had the pleasure of staying there for one night during Bamboozle as a result of the Fairfield Inn(Residence’s cheaper twin) being full. We were ok with it as we were getting a free night and staying at the nicer hotel. Win win. Upon walking into our room, we realized we had been sent to a suite(although I’m pretty sure most of the rooms are in that suite fashion). The room opened up to a kitchen and living room – the amount of room we had was ridiculous. We then ventured into the area designated as the bedroom to see a large, clean bed with modern sheets. To the right of the bedroom was the bathroom – the sink area had a lot of counter space and the toilet and shower were clean. Essentially, if you’re willing to pay the«big bucks» to stay in Jersey, do it. It’s about a a $ 70 difference from Fairfield, so if you can do it, do it.
