AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care

Warning! Never take your car here. Had them pull transmission for $ 500 plus tax then wanted $ 5300 to fix it. I refused and did the work myself. They gave me all the parts back with one mystery bolt. With some investigation and a strange noise something was loose I found it belonged to a part holding the whole front of the car together and 3 other bolts loose to the point of almost falling out… I wish I could attach pictures here. There was no mechanical reason to remove or loosen any of these bolts to pull the transmission. I believe the owner was mad at me for not letting them do the work. If I didn’t see this in time the whole front of the car would have collapsed while going around a turn. Of course I can’t prove this but there’s nowhere else that those parts could have been loosened and removed. And the fact that mystery bolt was in with all the parts they gave me.

Had my transmission repaired there. Car came back with electrical problems that weren’t there when I dropped it. They claimed that electrical problems were pre existing. After I spent almost $ 4000 I had to spend and additional $ 400 to fix the electrical. Make sure you go over your car with service adviser before you leave. It could save you a few bucks.
They also close early. 5pm. If you don’t work locally good luck getting your vehicle back before the weekend.
