Yes, her rate was cheaper compare to other lawyer that i asked. $ 170/​hour. Dont be fool. This is what I got for a cheap lawyer. She wanted me to give me the money and sign the contract and disappear. She was my lawyer who did not do anything to help my case except took my money and run away. It was so hard to communicate with her. She was rarely in the office. Always through her secretary that was never in the office either. She refused to give me her direct number when there was emergency. She did not tell me my trial date until i found out myself a week before which is unethical. Then two days before my trial she dropped me as her client. After that, I talked to my asigned judge’s secretary that helped me to prepare the trial to finalized my divorce. What do i know, I finalized it by myself without any help from a lawyer.
She never gave me monthly statement what she did for me.
This lawyer will give you more trouble than helping you. I got more depressed with this lawyer than my own divorce.
Informed yourself by going to court to ask the proceding. Talk to the judge’s secretary how to do things. They are very helpful and they will tell you what the next step. They will not tell you what you should or should not do. But if you ask question they will answer you.
