So, we had Chicken Behari Kabob, Beef Seekh Kabob, Chicken Tikka Boti and a Nehari. We also ordered Lachay Paratha and Roghni Naan. Behari/Seekh Kabob were on a sizzler platter and steaming hot — the smoke and aroma helped put our appetite on the fifth gear. For Nehari, I think they perhaps can work toward improving it Lachay Paratha were bit over done and not the best we had. But overall we loved the food and experience and will surely return.

One of my favorite spot for Pakistani food. I like their grilled foods over the curry and vegetarian options. Chicken kababs, veg samosa chat and the Kashmiri chai are my to go food. Not a fan of their chicken wings. I took my co-workers there and now they are all hooked. :p The ambience is casual and family friendly. Staff is also very nice.

I go here quite often. Usually ordering the same thing. I ordered using their online ordering system. When I picked up my order the only lady working there was talking on the phone. She continued talking on the phone while packing my order and taking my money. When I got home I realized my order was wrong. I called to complain and the lady already knew what was wrong with my order before I even told her. She said they would deliver what was missing. The guy that delivered me my correct order said the lady wanted to charge me an extra $ 2 for delivery. Never again will I eat here

WORSTFOODEVER. Worst Biryani & no taste ever, very oily chicken 65. Chilli flakes all over the Biryani to increase the spice level. BEWARE. Don’t ever try to order from them.

First time at Zaika and ordered take-out. The fare did not live up to expectations. Tried the chicken pakora appetizer but was not sure what the chef was thinking. Normally they are crispy but these were plain soggy and bland. Don’t bother. Next was the lamb marsala. Chunks of meat were cooked but unevenly cut, the sauce watery, not much flavor. Again, this selection should be passed up. Also tried the Chicken Tikka Boti. Here there was some salvation and flavor but still, a bit dry. The breads were worthwhile. A much better pick for quick Indian would be Delhi Garden on Rt 27 So.

there are not that many indian restaurants that delivery in new brunswick and so it is nice to have zaika as an option. the food arrived in a relatively accurate amount of time per the delivery order and most of it was still warm/hot upon arrival. the samosas are really good but have a lot of potato and most of the sauces have some pretty good flavor.

Food is not good. It tastes bad. Never expected and tasted biryani like this. Horrible. It looks like goat pieces are added in fried rice.

Great service. Friendly and helpful. Food was made to order, fresh, well seasoned and spiced, and served HOT. Right from the oven naans, tasty sauces, and lots of menu choices. For a small ethnic restaurant it’s as good as it gets.

On a business trip in the locale, went to the place a few times, and tried various items from the menu. Great food, and good service; highly recommended.

We ordered online, and vouched for delivery. Their website was easy to use, and delivery was about 50 minutes. 50 minutes really isn’t long for delivery. On to the food. Even though Indian food doesn’t agree with me I still love it. Tandoori chicken legs were amazingly tasty. They give you the entire chicken leg!!! The naan is only $ 1 and it was good, still nice and warm. The biryani rice didn’t disappoint with flavor. Overall it was really good. Still have a bunch of leftovers!

Only the food compensates the service. Its hard to get what we want. The taste is exceptional and good.

Simply one of the worst desi food I have ever had. Bad service, burned kababs and lethargic waiters. I seriously wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone l.’

We just may not be Indian food lovers but ordered a little of everything and ate none of it. Just didn’t like anything(Even the mango shake was kind of icky) which is unusual for us but oh well. They delivered late but and all was hot. So that’s that.

Awesome food, the quantity was good too. They delivered it pretty much faster than expected. The jumbo tandoori shrimps were the best! :)

I’ve been coming here for about two years now… and the food is made fresh on the spot. their barbecue is juicy and to die for! And the staff is friendly as well especially the owner of the restaurant who is always there. Also try out their mango lassi and their Garlic naan yummm

The worst service you can imagine Curries do not come with rice and you have to basically order everything separately. Dont forget they do not tell you about the lunch special. It is in the very back of the page. You would think that the food is so great the service is forgettable. No way. Because of the service your appetite will be soon to be gone

*Update I’ve visited this place twice. The first time was with my family and we kind of liked it. The second time around, we were extremely disappointed. Here are some of the pros and cons I’ve experienced during the 2nd(and final) visit. Pros: Absolutely none, horrible experience this time around. Cons: 1– These guys just simply don’t know how to run a business. Again(Just like the first visit), the order was totally messed up. They forgot to make one of the plates we ordered and by the time it was made, everyone was full. Even though I made sure they got the order correctly, they still managed to mess it up. 2– Flies all over the place, but don’t worry, they come included with your meals and you don’t have to pay extra to have them fly all over you and your food. 3– The guy who was bringing out the plates to the table had a really bad burn on his right arm. It was uncovered, infected and untreated.(Major turn off and is absolutely disgusting) This alone cost them 2 stars on my rating and it is one of the main reasons why I won’t be returning to this place. 4– They charged us %18 gratuity for basically doing nothing to serve us but to bring the plates to the table. I had to walk up to the refrigerator to get drinks and I had to walk up to the counter to ask for napkins and of course, I had to make room on the table for dishes by removing used dishes or empty ones and put them on the empty table next to us. The funny thing is though, they counted a 5 months old baby towards the 5 person count to charge the gratuity fee and when I brought it to the manager’s attention(His name is Shahab) he said«It’s our ‘store’ policy and we can’t do anything about it».(Oh gosh, lol, I can’t help but laugh at how people like Shahab wonder why they lose good customers for such stupidity and greed.) I left tips on the table the first time I visited the place and I always leave tips regardless of where I go. It’s only the right thing to do. But for them to have the nerve to hit me with it on my bill is just WRONG. 5– Dirty Restroom 6– No AC on a hot summer night. 7– Smaller portions then the first time. Would I return to Zaika? I definitely won’t be returning to this place.

As a foodie and always on the hunt for great eats, I cannot believe I did not find this gem being an Edison local myself. The food at Zaika Grill is simply amazing. Not only is the food delicious and fresh,(grilled-to-order) the presentation and the way the grilled meats just sizzles off the hot cast iron plate is stunning. Usually, the«scoville heat index» of Indian cuisine, depending on the dish tends to be off the charts on how spicy it can be; however, our dishes came perfectly season with the right touch of heat being the biryani.(I recommend letting the staff know if you prefer xtra spicy, medium or mild as they seem very accommodating to requests) I will sure to be back soon and bring my friends along. Décor: 3⁄5(clean, tidy, typical décor) Food: 5⁄5(tasty, well marinated and sizzling) Value: 4⁄5(great portions for sharing!) Service: 4⁄5(service was friendly and welcoming) What my crew ordered: Chicken biryani rice Garlic naan Tikki masala Mixed grill Lamb chops Next time we will be trying something with more kick!

First, the bad news: the lighting inside is probably far far too bright; operating table bright fluorescents make for a really take-out-counter style place. I don’t care really, but it’s not a fancy place. This might also be taken as good news. The other major problem: it’s nowhere near my house AND has quite possibly ruined me for all the Indian/Pakistani restaurants near my area. So obviously that last one is a seriously backhanded compliment in disguise; wow, I’m incredibly impressed with the food. So I don’t care at all about the diner-type booths and the sauces in ketchup/mustard squeeze bottles; irrelevant! So I had the mixed grill, and it’s absolutely stunning. Juicy flavorful, and definitely the must-get item here. OK, I’ve only been once, but that seems to be the general consensus as well. I really enjoyed the garlic naan as well, it was flaky and puffy and just right. As I waddled out, I made a mental note to come back if I’m ever back in this part of Jersey again; it’s that good. And I’m just wishing that other South Asian places in the Boston area had to compete, and could raise their game to this level. For all I know, this is the worst place in the area,(note: i doubt this, as the constant walk-in and take-out traffic attests to their popularity with people who at least to my uncultured eye looked like they’d know what good food was) but it’s so far above the usual standard that I’ve been having that it’s really amazing. The service was ok, I chatted a bit with the owner dude, and he seemed very nice and friendly; the menu could probably stand to have a bit more explanation(if they had an onsite menu vs. just the take-out folder) but the onus is on the visitor to ask questions! I wish that I had gone with someone else to be able to sample more foods than just my own plateful, too. Oh well. Just visit, and enjoy!
