We dine at Arnie’s with out good friends so often that the staff might just as well emboss our names on our favorite tables by the picture windows. About two weekends ago, we had a blast. I’d waited all week for Joe’s Special Scramble, and it was marvelous. The bae raved about the smoked salmon scramble; I sampled some and, yeah, it was great! Service, prices, and ambience were excellent. Naturally, we will revisit. Our only problem will be how much to eat at a single sitting. We’re all putting on so much weight.

I used a Groupon… which disqualified us for any other specials that night. Waitress treated us like WELFARE after she knew we were discounted. I ordered the«Prawns and Chips». Twenty bucks gets you a little dish of mediocre coleslaw, 6 reasonable fried prawns and a handful of stale skinny little french fries that would embarrass McDonald’s. We had to beg for bread. NOTHING here to write home about… Shoulda just saved my money and gone up the street to Spuds. Needless to say, not impressed, not going back.

My family and I have been eating at Arnie’s for years. Even when I moved to New York, when I traveled back here for business, I usually always had at least one meal here. Before I moved to NYC, my sons did their own review of the children’s menu for KIRO Radio — listen here: Stick a Fork in it — Children’s Menu: Arnie’s
Through the years we have had good service(not always great) and the food has been consistently good and not too expensive. The view is dynamite and compensates for any short comings. I just took my wife to dinner last week. It was a Wednesday night and we were seated in a nice table. We both ordered the cedar-planked salmon. My salmon was good, but my wife’s was overcooked. She ate about 25%, but was pleased with the rest of the meal. When it was time to pay the check we mentioned the over-cooked salmon, just to provide feedback and not expecting any compensation since she did eat it and we didn’t immediately send it back. However the waitress told the manager, the manager came over and apologized and they provided a coupon for our next visit. Nice.

A very disappointing experience at Arnies tonight! Ordered mussels as a starter, but they all had that dead seafood smell and tasted really really bad! Will never go back again

Was really excited. We had 12pm reservation, Was set for dinner, called in and talk to a sweet nice young lady and changed it to lunch time instead. They do need upgrading. The carpet on the stairs has a lot of stains. And the front/receptionist employees, NOT too friendly. My husband made a joke«so does she eat free because she has the same name as the restaurant?» And the employee didn’t say anything or no reaction whatsoever so We laughed at our own joke hahaha! Then another one came and usually customer service people acknowledge you or even do an eye contact but this one is dead too. Walked by like a zombie. Whew! So she took us to our seats and bumped in to another waitress and didn’t even say shiit … I specifically asked for a good view seats instead they gave us the one side angled to the window. ://i was like ok theres plenty of good seats by the window and they decide to put us here? ok whatever. Food was ok. Our server did good on making sure we had what we need He is friendly. But you can tell that he is only there to get his paycheck. No offense. The vibe and atmosphere is too negative. It wasnt a great first time for us. It was also gloomy and raining, but we will definitely try again when its sunny. And hoping to get a exceptional customer service.

Arnie’s is in need of some updating! The food was just ok(not what I expect at the prices they charge) and there atmosphere in the restaurant feels a bit outdated. You will be paying the price of a nice upscale restaurant without the feel or the amazing food. Service was great and the view of the water is really nice from almost anywhere in the restaurant. Best part of our meal was the awesome sourdough bread served warm. We had an issue with our food as well but I’m not holding that against them in my rating, especially since they took care of it and also gave us a $ 20 gift card for our next trip. Unfortunately the food wasn’t good enough for the price so we don’t have a desire to return.

Made reservations for tonite at 5:30 p.m. When we got there the place was packed — so we were seated back in a small room with no decent view(just of the marina) when I had specifically asked for a table by the window with a view. Hot, stuffy, loud music, and the window coverings did not come together to block the sun, so my son(who was sitting between 2 windows) was forced to constantly move around to avoid a sunburn. Service was incredibly painfully slowwwwwww. Were they busy? Yes, but it looked like they had a ton of staff so I really don’t know what the issue was. Ordered 2 Old Fashioneds and 1 Cosmo. No alcohol in any of them, they were all watery, and — again — it took forever to get them. The chicken lettuce wraps were ok but much too salty. The early bird dinners, which we all 3 had, were a surprise in terms of amount of food. We all had the shrimp cocktail to start which consisted of probably 12 small shrimp in a larger footed glass. Why not fill up the glass, mound the shrimp? Would it really have been too much to ask? The crusted cod my Hubs and I had was ok. Greasy, crunchy over cooked rice pilaf. Son’s seafood pasta was fine, he said, but NONE of our food was hot. Desserts? Well, about maybe 3 cut up strawberries in a whipped cream mess is what they call their Strawberries Pavlova and Hubs and I each had a key lime pie slice(mini) — they came with whipped cream and a pirouette cookie(why?) stuck on the side. It would’ve been nice if any of these items had any flavor to them. Interestingly, you can order some wines(not all) for ½ price off of the bottle on Tues. We ordered St. Michelle Brut champagne which we don’t need to have again. For well over $ 100 — my husband is now looking in the kitchen for something to eat! The place itself? I think it’s about ½ step up from Ivar’s in Mukilteo(maybe) — especially when you notice things like the lights where the covers at the ceilings are hanging way down and nobody has bothered to fix them; or the lights at the tables themselves are missing the bolt covers, etc. Just, really, don’t need to go here again. One and done… It’s the same with Arnie’s in Mukilteo. Oh, and it might’ve been nice to have a candle brought out for a birthday — but nothing other than the server saying Happy Birthday(which was nice). Bleh…

We took a whale tour and before the tour, we walked around the pier complex looking for a place to have a coffee. We passed by Arnie’s and decided to stop there after the boat excursion — and we did. Up one flight, Arnie’s had a great view of Puget Sound and watching the ferries come and go was very relaxing. We were planning to go to happy hour in the city so we just ordered the soup and salad combo to tie us over. We ordered a house Chard that came out cool, crisp and refreshing, very quickly followed by a generous plated salad with an on-board bowl of their seafood bisque that couldn’t have been better: with a hearty depth of flavor and ample shrimp and crab meat, the combination of fresh, lively greens and tasty homemade basil vinaigrette was a delicious combo. Oh, and the mini-round, wonderful crusty sourdough bread, took it a step further complementing the light, yet really satisfying meal. If you consider Edmonds for a whale watching outing — and you should — and whether you get to see that blissful breeching of a fabulous Pod of Orcas or not… this little celebrative feast at Arnie’s can only make it better!

Went to Arnies to take in some sun and have a nice Sunday brunch. We arrived when they opened and was seated at a table that overlooked Puget Sound. Beautiful, stunning view! My friend and I ordered from the Sunday Brunch, she had Seafood Crepes and I had the Belgium Waffle with bacon. Brunch comes with a complimentary glass of Champagne(or you can get a Mimosa or Bloody Mary) as well as a sticky bun. Oh, and a plate of fruit and a yogurt dip(which was tasty!). My waffle was fine, exactly as you’d expect and the bacon was crispy and fully cooked. My friends crêpe was generously stuffed with the seafood filling and the fried potatoes were nicely seasoned. The sticky bun, the waffle, the crêpe… everything was fine, but nothing was extraordinary. My bill came to $ 20, it’s definitely a great value. The service was outstanding as our server made sure our drinks were filled and our order came out promptly and the food was hot. I hate cold food! Edmunds is beautiful and this is my first time here. If you’ve never been before and want to sit with a view, you should start with Arnies and then walk downtown. I’ll be going back to Edmunds and sampling other restaurants.

Tried this place with a Groupon. For some reason as soon as my wife and I sat down I felt that the staff knew we were cheap bastards. I like to think of it as more value conscious — and if you wow us the tips do follow in suit. This is a beautiful restaurant in Edmonds, the view is great overlooking Puget Sound and the design of the restaurant is fancy. As a GM of a similar restaurant in my previous life I definitely appreciated the layout. I did not appreciate the demeaning look when we declined wine or beverages. As a rule I don’t drink alcohol while at dinner, due to the cost — and that I like to cuddle up and take naps after even one drink. I also am a huge fan of ice water, lots of it. We also didn’t want appetizers as we were in for a light dinner, which also didn’t impress our server. The food was mediocre at best. I ordered the Seafood Grill which came with 2 prawns(31 – 40 shrimp to be exact), 2 scallops(quarter-sized and without sear/taste), 4oz of over-charred salmon, and a cup of about 6 clams in a tasteless nectar. Everything needed butter or garlic or salt or ANYTHING! I am fairly sure I could have gotten better seafood at Denny’s. What pisses me off about places like this is I know portion sizes will be small. I like good food, and a lot of it. This food was neither good nor plentiful. I could have been impressed with larger prawns(21−25s minimum) and larger scallops. Salmon could have been the same weight, but thicker to retain succulence. The clams — I know what they are trying to do and failed. You need to sauté in a white wine with the onion and peppers. Add garlic and a touch of salt and you nail it — so easy. They cooked these in vegetable broth it seems and there was nothing special about them. Also came with mashed potatoes, green beans and tomatoes — pretty, but also blah. They must have thought I asked for the nursing home menu without salt or taste. All of this unremarkable food for $ 26. Luckily our $ 75 meal was subsidized by a Groupon, which took a long time to redeem. Our server, who was nice — albeit unhappy that we didn’t pad the bill with drinks, apps, and desert — forgot to come pick up our credit card, so after 10 mins I just dropped cash and left. Sorry Arnie’s, you failed. A list of better seafood places: Ivar’s(Mukilteo) Anthony’s(Everett or anywhere) Blue Fin Sushi(Northgate) Skippers — quality about the same, but 20% of the price. Safeway — spend $ 15 and get salmon and shrimp for you and your wife. Pan-sear salmon filet, skin-side down with salt or Cajun seasoning on flesh, covered for about 8 minutes. Sauté shrimp in garlic butter = instant brownie points. Add garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus(sautéed in same garlic butter). Then you have $ 60 to spend on about 2 cases of $ 3-chuck at Trader Joe’s. Should do the trick.

I have to give 5 stars because our party of ten(including two children) was taken care of so well by the staff at this restaurant. Our family meets up once a month at a different restaurant in the Seattle area. Our meal at Arnie’s was smooth, efficient, and most of us enjoyed our meals. They even had a vegetarian and GF menu. I highly recommend looking at that if you want additional salad and pasta options. This location is very close to the ferry terminal and has a beautiful view of the Puget Sound. There is outdoor seating, as well, but the deck wasn’t opened during our visit. We would come back to Arnie’s if we returned to Edmonds for a family lunch.

This was a good value. Purchased a groupon but ended up buying off the regular menu. Between 4&6pm they have a three course special. We had cashew encrusted cod. Prawns. And fish and chips. Salad was fresh. Bay shrimp cocktail was quite small but the rest of the meal was great portion sizes. Dessert was included. Would definitely go back.

My absolute fav restaurant in Washington. I have been to probably 6−7times and enjoyed both dinner entrée, and happy hour menu item. Servers are always sweet and attentive. I have returned to arnie’s in about 6 month from California and their food is consistent and so is service. Oyster shooters were fresh and miso steak, Salmon entrée, Clams… Were amazing… View is nice and they accommodate my two nephews and my family very well:) love love this restaurant.

Went here for my birthday dinner in the middle of the week after making last minute reservations. They did not have a window table as requested but the view inside the restaurant was great everywhere so it didn’t matter. The food was pretty good. We had clams as an appetizer and they were very good. The husband had curry which he said«didn’t taste like regular curry» whatever that means but he ate all of it so it must have been good. I had seafood linguine and it was great, so was the bread(you have to request it and they give you small servings but it’s fresh and hot). We also loved their vast selection of alcohol. We ended up getting spirits instead of wine even though it was half price wine night. The only downsides was the restaurant is kind of run down with outdated pink décor and seems dingy overall. I would only sit outside next time. Our servers were very good when they were at our table but would roll silverware at the table right behind us as we were eating our meal or using empty tables nearby to place things for side work(it was only 730pm so it’s not like it was closing time). We were hoping for more of a fine dining experience but it was more of a neighborhood restaurant feel like Applebees with better food. As long as the food is good we will keep coming back but I wish I chose someplace more special for my birthday.

The hubby and I went for our wedding anniversary(we had our rehearsal dinner at Arnie’s — so we thought it would be fun to go back for our anniversary). It was a Wednesday evening and it was PACKED. I grew up on the water in Edmonds so I love going to Edmonds. The view is of course amazing. The food was solid — not spectacular. We had received a coupon in the mail — and still it was a bit overpriced. But you so pay for the view. I got the sirloin and prawns. It was a bit small for the price and it desperately needed seasoning. Once I added salt and pepper it was ok. The sourdough bread they serve(you have to ask for it) is AMAZING. And the desserts are out of this world. The Almond Joy sundae — FANTASTIC. Key lime pie — delicious. So we will go back and just try some less expensive items in the future. But we will definitely get dessert!

Wow! What an awesome place for Sunday brunch on a sunny day! Came here with the hubby and family and sat in a nice booth that faced the Sound. For starters I had a spicy bloody Mary, at least I ordered it this way, but it was not spicy enough for me. It did, however, come garnished with a shrimp cocktail shrimp. We were also served a delicious plate of fruit –pineapple, strawberries, cantaloupe, honeydew melon– with a yogurt dip AND sticky buns!!! Who serves sticky buns at brunch??? No other place I’ve ever been to!!! I had dungeness crab benedict served with potatoes. I thought it was going to be just the bees knees, but the crab wasn’t particularly flavorful. It just doesn’t replace Canadian bacon. It sounded like a good idea though. All in all, though, the service was good for the most part. The hostesses at the front desk were welcoming. The prices were averagely expensive. There was plenty of parking and the food was very good. Would I come here again? This is a great place if you want a special brunch get together, not really a go-to place, but it won’t disappoint nonetheless.
